- Tim Yasui was born and raised in Williamsport, Pennsylvania and studied classical piano, classical violin, percussion during Elementary School and early into Junior High School while simultaneously singing in the United Methodist church choir with his four siblings. By High School Tim focused mainly on drums, performing in the High School marching band and Concert band while performing with Rock bands in night clubs around Pennsylvania with musicians twice his age. After high school, Tim earned a Bachelor's Degree at Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut and played briefly in the College Jazz band and studied percussion at nearby Hart School of Music in West Hartford, while performing in rock bands all over New England. Besides hosting his own radio show at Trinity on 89.3FM WRTC Tim also wrestled varsity for Trinity at the 134 pound weight class in NCAA Division III. After Trinity, Tim earned his Masters Degree in Business (MBA/Marketing) at University of Connecticut while running a weekly Radio show called "Metal Madness" on 91.7FM, WHUS and performing on drums throughout New England and interning for Capitol-EMI-Manhattan-Angel Records which led to an internship in Hollywood, CA at Capitol Records. Upon moving to Hollywood, Tim studied drums privately with legendary rock drummer Carmine Appice (Vanilla Fudge, Jeff Beck, Rod Stewart, Ozzy) for two years. After interning at Capitol-EMI, Tim went on to work at Metal Blade Records as the National Director of Promotions, before leaving to sign a record deal as drummer in the Hollywood band London to record a studio album, appear in the Roger Corman executive-produced film Hollywood Boulevard Part II and earned his SAG card for performing and singling in that film with the band London. Several TV commercials followed, along with appearances in other indie films like Shock 'Em Dead and Vamps In The City. Since the late 90's Tim has served as VP/General Manager of Cleopatra Records and Cleopatra Entertainment, and has produced and/or co-produced over a dozen indie feature films since the early 2000's and continues to perform live and in the studio on drums and vocals in the Hollywood, CA based band Hollywood After Dark whose first single appeared in the Cleopatra production of Cocaine Werewolf.- IMDb Mini Biography By: Julie Yasui
