Why don't zombies eat each other?

Why don't zombies eat each other? The flaws in Berlin's transport system; The adolescence of the lambs

How do zombies know not to eat each other? What would they do if there were no non-zombies left?

Zombies know not to eat each other because they only eat living human flesh. Once infected and full zombification has taken place, the zombie is no longer alive, so its flesh is not palatable to other zombies.

If all the humans were eaten or infected the zombies would not turn on each other, or eat animals – they would roam around looking for more live humans. As they are dead, their flesh would rot due to decomposition and weathering. The zombies would break down and eventually there would be none left.

Sarah Young, Worcester Park, Surrey

The reason that "zombies" do not eat each other is because they are fictional characters played by actors obeying the instructions in the script. »

T.J. Hooker Heading to the Big Screen

8 July 2009 2:55 AM, PDT | Reelzchannel.com | See recent ReelzChannel news »

Variety reports that the 80's TV series T.J. Hooker, which starred William Shatner as a police detective who returns to his old job as a patrol sergeant after his partner is killed, is getting a big-screen adaptation.

The series, which ran for five seasons on two networks as a serious crime drama, will be an action comedy on the big screen and concentrate on Hooker and his relationship with his father (Shatner, perhaps?).

Chuck Russell (The Scorpion King) is in talks to direct, while writing partners Brent Maddock and S.S. Wilson (Wild Wild West, Tremors) will be in charge of the script. No actors have been cast yet.

With Hooker racing to theaters, is Hardcastle and McCormick far behind? It may even help Magnum P.I. get off the ground.

T.J. Hooker Assigned to the Big Screen

6 July 2009 1:23 PM, PDT | TheHDRoom | See recent TheHDRoom news »

T.J. Hooker is primed to drop his pension and come out of retirement to resume patrol in a larger neighborhood. Variety is reporting David Foster and Ryan Heppe, currently working on another "why?" remake of Short Circuit, have teamed with series creator Rick Husky to produce a big screen version of T.J. Hooker as an "action comedy" centered around the title character and his father. T.J. Hooker ran five seasons and starred William Shatner as the venerable cop, a very blond Heather Locklear unafraid to don short shorts, Adrian Zmed, Richard Herd and James Darren. Brent Maddock and S.S. Wilson, also working on Short Circuit, are on board to pen the script with Chuck Russell of The Scorpion King fame in negotiations to direct. I put the odds of Shatner placing a phone call to play the "father" character at or around 1 to 1. »

T.J. Hooker gets promoted to the movies

6 July 2009 12:54 PM, PDT | Corona's Coming Attractions | See recent Corona's Coming Attractions news »

If it worked for Star Trek, why not for T.J. Hooker? The man that created the hour-long cop show that was a staple on ABC's line-up in the early 1980s wants to bring the L.A. beat street cop to the big screen, but where the original Hooker was an action-drama the movie is being envisioned as an action-comedy. With a name like "Hooker" that makes sense, donnit?

Rick Husky was the creator of T.J. Hooker and he's attached as a producer on the film along with David Foster and Ryan Heppe. Director Chuck Russell of The Scorpion King and The Mask fame is working out a contract that would see him call action on the set of the film while screenwriters Brent Maddock and S.S. Wilson (the Tremors series, Wild Wild West) will write the story. Variety found out that Maddock and Wilson's take on the movie Hooker will »

Get Ready for "T.J. Hooker" the Movie!

6 July 2009 10:55 AM, PDT | Manny the Movie Guy | See recent Manny the Movie Guy news »

"T.J. Hooker" will get the movie makeover as an action comedy!

The hit TV show from the 80s gets its movie adaptation from producers David Foster, Ryan Heppe, and series creator Rick Husky.

Chuck Russell, the guy who gave us "The Scorpion King" and "The Mask" is negotiating to direct.

The film version will focus on the relationship between our hero, T.J., and his dad. But I don't know how the writing team of Brent Maddock and S.S. Wilson will make the characters and the plot interesting. The writing duo gave us "Wild Wild West" (I know, not a good sign) and many "Tremors" films (yeah, definitely not a good sign!).

No word yet on the cast, or whether William Shatner, the original Sgt. Thomas J. 'T.J.' Hooker, will make a cameo. What about series originals Adrian Zmed and Heather Locklear?

For now, let's take a look »

'T.J. Hooker' to Get the Movie Treatment

6 July 2009 8:03 AM, PDT | Cinematical | See recent Cinematical news »

When we rant about remakes and reboots, it's easy to hide in hyperbole. It seems like there are a lot of them, but maybe we're just really sensitive to Hollywood's bouts with unoriginality. But then Peter wrote the piece "Which Remake/Reboot Are You Looking Forward to the Least," and when my eyes hit his list of those announced in only one month, it hit me: No, we're not exaggerating. There's a lot of frakking reboots and remakes out there. And now we've got one more on the way.

Variety reports that T.J. Hooker is going to head to the big screen as an action comedy with Short Circuit scribes Brent Maddock and S.S. Wilson writing it, and Chuck Russell (The Scorpion King and The Mask) negotiating for the directorial spot. Big Screen ‘T.J. Hooker’ Adaptation in the Works

6 July 2009 7:30 AM, PDT | The Flickcast | See recent The Flickcast news »

According to Variety, the latest tv show to get the big screen treatment will be none other than the William Shatner mid-eighties police drama T.J. Hooker. No, that’s not a typo, I said T.J. Hooker. Is this another sign of the pending apocalypse or further proof that Hollywood has completely run out of original ideas? Perhaps both.

In case you were not a fan of the original series or its star William Shatner, the show centered on Shatner’s character, a no-nonsense police sergeant who, among other things, bossed around the young and beautiful Heather Locklear, the young and hunky Adrian Zmed and occasionally caught some bad guys in the process. Producing the action comedy will be David Foster, Ryan Heppe and series creator Rick Husky.

According to the article, producer Heppe is gung-ho about the adaptation saying: “The series was the poster child for cop TV shows in the 1980s with great stunts, »

William Shatner’s past performances just keep living, breathing, and remaking themselves. “Star Trek” is now neatly rebooted with J.J. Abrams and Chris Pine. I must admit, I don't remember much about the TV show, which may have been just slightly ahead of my time (it ran from 1982 to 1986). Chuck Russell, who last directed The Scorpion King as well as Eraser, The Mask, and The Blob before that, is in talks to direct a script written by Brent Maddock and S.S. Wilson.
