- Paul Williams was born in 1964 in Ballinamore, County Leitrim, Ireland. He is a writer, known for The General (1998), Bad Fellas (2010) and Arthouse (1997).
- He is the author of "The General", "Gangland", "Evil Empire" and "Crimelords"
- He studied journalism at Dublin's Rathmines School of Journalism. He also holds a post graduate diploma in criminological studies. He is a director of Irish Radio station "Ocean FM".
