Exclusive: Joe Wiggins has joined Elevate Entertainment as the Co-Head of Development and Production. He will be working on Elevate’s current slate of scripted and unscripted projects alongside Co-Head of Development and Production Samantha Levenshus.
In a competitive signing, Wiggins is heading to Elevate from a Head of Development position at Intrigue, where he specialized in adapting international formats and other IP for the U.S. television and feature film industry.

Exclusive: NBC has put in development Escape, an action thriller drama based on the 2015 Russian series Quest (Квест), from Lucifer executive producer Jason Ning, Tariq Jalil’s Intrigue Entertainment and Universal Television, division of NBCUniversal TV Studios.
Written by Ning, in Escape, when six complete strangers wake up on the roof of a building in San Francisco, they’re told they have 36 hours to live unless they can solve a series of deadly games set throughout the city.
Ning executive produces with Jalil. Intrigue’s Lucas Carter and Joe Wiggins serve as consulting producers.
The original series premiered on Russia’s Ctc in 2015 and ran for two seasons. Below is a trailer (in Russian) whose opening tagline translates as, “They follow you, they manipulate you, and you cannot escape.”

Exclusive: Monk creator/executive producer Andy Breckman has re-teamed with the series’ director/executive producer Randy Zisk for another hourlong procedural about a brilliant detective.
CBS has put in development Einstein, based on the German series, from the Monk duo, Tariq Jalil’s Intrigue Entertainment ,Red Arrow Studios International, which is behind the original German format, and CBS Television Studios.
Written by Breckman, Einstein is about the brilliant but directionless great grandson of Albert Einstein, who spends his days as a comfortably tenured professor, until his bad boy antics land him in trouble with the law and he is pressed into service helping a local police detective solve her most puzzling cases.
