Neil Patrick Harris was the star of the night at yesterday's Primetime Emmy Awards. He hosted the long show and managed to keep things interesting with his constant jokes and hours of preparation looking up the tiniest, most obscure roles on all the presenters' resumes to introduce them with. Check out all the winners here. Blake Lively and Leighton Meester looked gorgeous together as they took the stage to hand out an Emmy, though their show might not ever be up for any. Jessica Lange beat out her costar Drew Barrymore but the close friends looked overjoyed and the night's cutest acceptance speech might just go to a teary Kristin Chenoweth. Justin Timberlake was all over the awards with his multiple nominations, though he didn't take any home he did win an Emmy last weekend. Heidi Klum and Seal shared a kiss in the audience, which is a lot less »

We already had one look at all the gorgeous ladies on the Emmys red carpet, but many of the other ensembles were also amazing. Heidi Klum kicked things off in a dress that perfectly showcased her growing baby bump, while Tina Fey picked out a number in similar black. Leighton Meester was quite a contrast in white, looking pretty with her red lips. Ginnifer Goodwin and Mila Kunis, meanwhile, added color to the carpet with their purplish frocks. Make sure to check in with Fab, Bella and CelebStyle who are all still covering all the fashion and beauty from the big night! There were many gorgeous fashions on display last night on the red carpet at the Emmy Awards. In the first installment of our look at what the ladies wore there was a lot of black or white, but not at all basic - Amy Poehler went dark, January Jones picked a light color with a daring cutout bodice, and Chloe Sevigny had a little bit of both worlds with her polka dot number. Right now January has a slight lead in Fab's best dressed poll - who do you think deserves the title? Drew Barrymore switched things up a little with her peach gown, but it was Blake Lively who stopped traffic in her plunging Versace. Fab and Bella have the rundown on the style and beauty news of the night, and make sure to check back for the other half of our report on the ladies red carpet! View »

"24" is adding more characters to the series and the execs have landed three actors to fit the roles. Rami Malek, Julian Morris and Hrach Titizian are signed for multi-episode arc in the eighth season to play a would-be suicide bomber, a CTU Swat agent and a second-in-command of security respectively.
Malek's Marcos is an Arab American with sympathies toward radical Islam while Titizian's Nabeel is in charge of President Hassan's (Anil Kapoor) safety. Nabeel in particular will work against Mehran (Mido Hamada), the leader of an operative group in an Islamic country who seeks to harm the president. Little is known about Morris' character.
Not only revolving around the Middle Eastern leader and his opponents, the season will also see a ruthless leader by the name Bazhaev (Jurgen Prochnow) who heads an Eastern European organized crime syndicate. Another Russian mobster, Vladimir Laitanan, is played by Callum Keith Rennie.

Jon Hamm cozied up to his longtime love Jennifer Westfeldt after their arrival at Lax yesterday. He's in CA after his quick trip to Boston, where he did a little preproduction work with Ben Affleck on The Town. Jon and Jennifer are typically inseparable, but he recently made the press rounds on behalf of Mad Men's new season solo. Jennifer has been busy with her own career appearing on Broadway, but she's also rumored to be angling to land a guest-starring spot on his show. View 2 Photos › »

As Don Draper, the central figure in Mad Men, Jon Hamm gives one of the decade’s most iconic performances. Off camera, the actor plays down his matinee idol looks, hiding behind thick stubble, heavy eyeglass frames, and a greasy baseball cap pulled low over his forehead. But he’s a relaxed, easy talker and a man with many interests outside of acting, including mathematics. Preparing my feature on Mad Men in this month’s issue of Vanity Fair, I interviewed Hamm over fish tacos at a restaurant in Los Feliz, not far from the home he shares with his longtime girlfriend, the actress and writer Jennifer Westfeldt (Kissing Jessica Stein). He talked about waiting tables in Los Angeles, getting cast on Mad Men, and how a handshake with Elisabeth Moss sent lightning bolts of pain shooting through him. Today in Screen Rant’s weekly TV Wrap Up, we have some great casting news for 24, we’ll be talking about David Carradine’s appearance in Fox’s new show Mental and we also have some Heroes casting news, the possibility that My Name Is Earl may be getting new legs, some news on Ghost Whisperer, The Sarah Connor Chronicles coming to DVD and a bit about Futurama’s, err, future.
We’ll wrap it up with ratings from last week. This week in the ratings section, I thought I’d try something new and toss in some cable viewer numbers.

Welcome to your (very early) Tuesday morning television briefing. In a rather major casting coup, Fox's 24 has cast former Battlestar Galactica star Katee Sackhoff as a series regular in Day Eight, where she will play Dana Walsh, a "highly respected and down-to-earth data analyst at the new and improved New York branch of CTU" who is romantically involved with Freddie Prinze Jr.'s Davis Cole and has a "skeleton in her closet she's trying desperately to keep hidden." Sackhoff joins such Day Eight players as Prinze, Mykelti Williamson, Jennifer Westfeldt, Chris Diamantopoulous, John Boyd, and Anil Kapoor. (Entertainment Weekly's Ausiello Files) It's now believed that Lost's Dominic Monaghan will be joining the cast of ABC's Flash Forward this fall. IGN's Eric Goldman is reporting, citing reports from an undisclosed insider, that Monaghan will be joining Flash Forward and that the actor, who played Charlie Pace on Lost, will "likely »

The next season of "24" will see one more big addition. Katee Sackhoff, who made fame as Starbuck in "Battlestar Galactica", has been hired to be a regular playing a member of the reformed CTU named Dana Walsh. Her involvement has been confirmed by a Fox spokesperson.
Being a member of the fictional U.S. government anti-terrorist agency, Dana will work side by side with the main character Jack Bauer. Per Entertainment Weekly, Dana is "a highly respected and down-to-earth data analyst at the new and improved New York branch of CTU." But beyond that she has a skeleton in her closet that she's trying "desperately" to hide.
Before Sackhoff's casting news, there had been a report on Freddie Prinze Jr.'s involvement. He is tapped to play a field agent named Davis Cole who, interestingly, builds a relationship with Dana. Beside Prinze Jr., "24" also adds Mykelti Williamson, Doug Hutchinson, Jennifer Westfeldt »

Good news for all you fans of Battlestar Galactica and 24, you can now have both of those great tastes together in one great show. What the heck am I talking about? Well, Katee Sackhoff, who, of course, played Starbuck on BSG, will be joining the cast of Fox’s 24 next season, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Apparently, negotiations have been ongoing for several weeks but are now finished with Sackhoff’s deal done. According to THR, Sackhoff will play CTU expert data analyst Dana Walsh who also has a secret past. She’s also involved with CTU agent Davis Cole (The recently cast Freddie Prinze Jr.) and you know on this show that never seems to go well.
In addition to Prinze, Jr., Sackhoff joins fellow new 24 cast members Jennifer Westfeldt, Mykelti Williamson, John Boyd and Chris Diamantopoulos for the Fox powerhouse’ 8th season. Looks like 24 is putting together quite »

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Battlestar Galactica alum Katee Sackhoff will join CTU on Fox's 24 next season.
Sackhoff will play Dana Walsh, a smart and competent expert data analyst at CTU with a secret past who is involved with CTU agent Davis Cole (Freddie Prinze Jr.)
This marks the final major casting of a new regular for the show's upcoming eighth season, which is already in production.
Sackhoff joins fellow new cast members Freddie Prinze Jr., Jennifer Westfeldt, Mykelti Williamson, John Boyd and Chris Diamantopoulos.
According to the trade, Sackhoff was close to committing to 24 a week ago, but with another lucrative offer from a cable network on the table, she took herself out of contention to mull her options. She restarted her talks with 20th TV on Friday and was cast Monday on 24.

Seven years after an African-American president was introduced on Fox's 24, the show's returning Counter Terrorist Unit gets its first African-American chief with the addition of Mykelti Williamson to the cast.
The actor will play Brian Hastings, the head of CTU New York and a man of razor-sharp intellect, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Williamson recently co-starred in the Sundance hit Black Dynamite. His series credits include Boomtown and CSI: NY. His breakout role came in 1994 as Private Benjamin Buford "Bubba" Blue in the Oscar-winning film Forrest Gump, but the actor can trace his television roots all the way back to a 1978 episode of Starsky & Hutch, "Black and Blue". Williamson also appeared in the 1984 pilot for Miami Vice.
Last Friday we reported that Freddie Prinze Jr had joined the cast as Davis Cole, a recently returned Marine who runs CTU Field Ops and wants to follow in Jack Bauer's (Kiefer Sutherland) footsteps. »

Gee whiz. Bill Buchanan isn't even cold in the ground, "24." According to The Hollywood Reporter, Mykelti Williamson is the latest new cast addition for the upcoming eighth season of Fox's "24." The trade paper says that Williamson will play the head of CTU New York, a character described as an "Mba-type" with a "razor-sharp intellect." Presumably this means that he won't approve of Jack Bauer's methods. CTU heads almost never do in the beginning. They learn, though. Other new cast members for "24" Day Eight, which began production last week, include Freddie Prinze Jr., Jennifer Westfeldt, Anil Kapoor, John Boyd... »
