Former Doctor Who girl Karen Gillan’s new indie film, Not Another Happy Ending, will be the closing gala for the 67th annual Edinburgh International Film Festival.
The film will be played at The Edinburgh Festival Theatre on the 30th June, with Gillan and other stars of the film planning to attend to celebrate the world première of the film, after a long production process.
Directed by John McKay, the film focuses on a publisher, played by French actor Stanley Webber, falling in love with a successful author, who is played by Karen Gillan herself. Part of the film’s funding has come from the infamous crowd funding website IndieGoGo, as well as additional funding from BBC Scotland and The Glasgow Film Office.
