Hell’s Kitchen, the Alicia Keys musical currently play a sold-out run Off Broadway, will transfer to Broadway’s Shubert Theater this spring, producers announced today.
Directed by Michael Greif, Hell’s Kitchen will begin previews at the Shubert on Thursday, March 28, 2024 ahead of an opening night on Saturday, April 20. The musical features music and lyrics by Keys and a book by Kristoffer Diaz, and includes such Keys hits as “You Don’t Know My Name,” “Fallin’,” “If I Ain’t Got You,” “No One” and “Empire State of Mind,” among others.
Casting will be announced shortly. The critically lauded Off Broadway cast features Maleah Joi Moon as the Keys-inspired character Ali, and Shoshana Bean as her mother Jersey.

Donna Vivino, who starred for two years as 'Elphaba' in the First National Tour of Wicked and also in the role on Broadway, just released a jazzy new album called 'Beautiful Dreamer' via Ghostlight Records. This is Donna's first album, which came about in a spur-of-the-moment collaboration with her father, Jerry Vivino, who is part of Conan's Basic Cable Band -- the house band for O'Brien's late night show on TBS. In a historic ceremony on Monday, December 17th, the blockbuster musical Wicked's iconic Elphaba costume, hat and broom were inducted into the Smithsonian's National Museum of American History. Tony Award-winning costume designer Susan Hilferty was on hand to sign the deed of gift as well as Broadway cast members Donna Vivino and Tiffany Haas who sang a selection of song from Wicked to commemorate this significant event. The costume elements will join objects from the musicals King and I, Rent and The Lion King in the museum's permanent entertainment collections.
