When the nominations for the 21st Annual Daytime Emmy Awards were announced in 1994, one outcome was immediately made certain. There was no way that Susan Lucci of “All My Children” could lose … Because for the first time in 13 years, she wasn’t in the running for Best Actress for her role as Erica Kane.

The snub caught everyone in the industry by surprise, especially since Lucci was considered to have had a remarkable year on the show.
Those selected in lieu of Lucci in 1994 included her “All My Children” co-star Julia Barr as Brooke English, the Daytime Emmys’ reigning Best Actress Linda Dano as Felicia Gallant on “Another World,” Fiona Hutchison as Jenna Bradshaw on “Guiding Light,” Hillary B. Smith as Nora Gannon on “One Life to Live” and Kathleen Widdoes as Emma Snyder on “As the World Turns.” It...

I’m glad the show is starting to use Felix more and having him connect to some of the other characters on the show besides Sabrina, who I don't care much for, but I really hope he’s going to be more than just a "talk to." It’s just hard for me to even care if he’s not going to be a fully fleshed out character and have a life, complete with romantic interests. It’s nice that he doesn’t hide his attraction in men, but unless we get to him in romances like all the other characters, then he’s really not being treated equally. If he likes the bad boys, then bring on one of them for him.
I did like hearing more about him, such as that he used to work at Foxy Roxy’s in Llanview. But...

"One Life to Live" actors Roger Howarth, Michael Easton and Kristen Alderson may have to leave "General Hospital" to rejoin the newly revived "Oltl" online.

The key to winning a Daytime Emmy is episode selection. To stand out amongst this group of industry legends, an actor will need to submit a tape that displays enough range and impact to make voters take notice. Good submissions are usually self-contained episodes showing a clear beginning, middle and end to a character’s emotional arc.

Actress Kim Zimmer is returning to the soaps! Zimmer, a four-time Emmy winner for her role as Reva Shayne on 'Guiding Light,' will officially join 'One Life to Live' this fall as Echo diSavoy. Actually, she's re-joining -- the actress played Echo in 1983, around the time she was cast on 'Guiding Light.'
Kim will first appear on Oct. 1 as Echo, and she'll be involved with a couple of powerhouse Emmy-winning veterans of 'One Life to Live' -- specifically Erika Slezak (Viki) and Robin Strasser (Dorian). That should be potent.
Zimmer will also cross paths with former 'Guiding Light' leading man Jerry ver Dorn. On 'Gl,' ver Dorn's character, Ross Marler, had many encounters with Zimmer's Reva -- although they never actually married.
