- Lisa Varga moved from South Bend, Indiana, to LA to pursue an acting and modeling career. After modeling all over the country, Lisa landed acting roles in a number of TV series, from Walker, Texas Ranger (1993) to America's Most Wanted: America Fights Back (1988) and, most recently, Game Time: Tackling the Past (2011) and Homeland (2011). She also had roles in films such as Rudy (1993), Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me (1999), Gold Diggers (2003) (aka "Lady Killers"), Marley & Me (2008), and the starring role in "Deadly Closure" - which changed it's title to Deadly Closure (2010). Lisa won the Best Actress award for her film at the Movieville International Film Festival. - Lisa is well traveled and has a genuine love for people and making new connections. Her passions run deep for family, sports, entertainment and charity. They have all been a constant in her life from a very young age. After helping her brother Shane battle and survive two rounds of Hodgkin's Lymphoma, Lisa co-founded Fight Club for Cancer with him-a non-profit organization geared toward raising awareness and bringing smiles to those battling cancer. Lisa is involved in multiple charities and has dedicated her life to making a difference in the world. Helping others is Lisa's first priority. A career in entertainment, modeling and sports is her reward for hard work and perseverance.
Having landed numerous roles in feature films and TV series, Lisa is certainly no stranger to the camera. The Movieville International Film Festival named her Best Actress for her starring role in the movie Deadly Closure. Lisa can be seen in Marley & Me, The Hunted, Fair Haven, and Crowning Jules as well as on the small screen in hit shows including NBC's Game Time: Tackling the Past and the Emmy award-winning TV series Homeland on Showtime. Lisa plays the title role Alexis in a pilot for the TV series Alexis Ronan. She has also been cast in another pilot-Brent and Lilly-scheduled to film in the summer
Lisa feels most at home as a host. She has a natural way about her that puts guests at ease even before the cameras are rolling. Lisa began her hosting career as a sideline reporter for Friday Night Football. Later, she went on to host the series W - The Women's Show. Lisa is a recurring host on the Home Shopping Network (HSN) and a well-known spokesperson for several infomercials as well as a brand ambassador for multiple products in the heath, beauty, fashion and fitness industries. She has interviewed top athletes and is the creator and host of Beyond The Offseason, a series that showcases athletes in a positive light as they give back to their community in the off-season.
Created and hosted by Lisa Varga, Beyond The Offseason is an inspirational series that shines a positive light on athletes as they give their time and hearts to charity and individuals during their offseason. After helping her brother Shane battle and survive two rounds of Hodgkin's Lymphoma, Lisa was motivated by the support and love she and her brother received from multiple athletes and was driven to create a unique story-telling platform about sports figures who give back and make a difference.
