There was an extra-special added bonus to the Hancock premiere in Hollywood Monday night: an impromptu show from leading man Will Smith and his old partner in rap, DJ Jazzy Jeff. "I'm out of shape – I'm playing an out of shape superhero here," Smith, 39, said on a stage surrounded by carefully wrecked cars, "prison-cage" private lounges and a moon bounce for the kids. Our quick thoughts: Yahoo! Movies today premiered the first trailer for Paul W.S. Anderson’s upcoming action flick “Death Race,” which opens nationwide Aug. 22 and stars Jason Statham, Tyrese Gibson and Joan Allen.
The story focuses on an ex-con (Statham) who’s forced to participate in a risky car race in which inmates must kill each other to snatch the victory. Joan Allen plays the tough warden who created the race.
Wild cars, hot chicks, and Statham doing what he always does… what else do you want? This first trailer includes some nice action moments, which is probably all there is to enjoy in the movie. Don’t count on a solid, captivating story. But if it’s fun to watch and not too monotonous, why not give it a shot?

Tyrese Gibson will play Sgt. Bosco "Ba" Baracus in the film adaptation of '80s TV show The A-Team, according to Chud.
Speaking from the set of the film Legion, Gibson said that he will play the role made famous by Mr. T if he can work it into his schedule, which includes the Transformers sequel and action drama Desert Eagle.
"I've been practising my double dutch," Gibson joked.

Dennis Quaid, Tyrese Gibson and Lucas Black have joined Paul Bettany in the cinematic search for the second coming of Jesus Christ.
Bettany will play the Archangel Gabriel in the latterday Nativity Story, titled Legion.
The deep film, which is about to start shooting in New Mexico, follows the fortunes of a group of strangers who must deliver Christ to avoid the acopalypse.
