Igor Tsvetkov is Soviet and Russian composer, author of music for films and theatrical productions, popular pop songs. Member of the Union of Composers of Russia, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation (1988), Professor. In 1960 he graduated from the Kharkov Conservatory in the composition class of V.N. Nakhabin, Honored Artist of the Ukrainian SSR. In 1968-2000, Tsvetkov taught instrumentation at the Department of Orchestral Conducting at St. Petersburg University of Culture and Arts. He wrote a symphony, a piano concert, two string quartets and several cantatas, ballets and music for choreographic numbers. Tsvetkov wrote music for theatrical productions of various genres ("At 12 o'clock at night", "Love, love", "Foreigner in Rome", "A pair of bay" and other performances of the Theater of miniatures of Arkady Raykin, the Bolshoy Puppet Theater). The author of music for more than thirty movies. He wrote dozens of songs, including the famous "Cinderella", attracting expressive melodies and spectacular orchestration.
