Social media icon and musician Cameron Dallas will make his Broadway debut in the role of “Aaron Samuels” in Tina Fey’s Mean Girls, the show’s producers have announced.
Dallas will play the role in a four-week run during Kyle Selig’s leave of absence starting Tuesday, January 14 at the August Wilson Theatre on 245 West 52nd Street in Manhattan.
“Cameron is a tremendously talented young performer,” said a statement from the show producers. “We’re thrilled to welcome him to the cast of Mean Girls and know he will be as captivating on stage as he is on screens all over the world.”
Dallas rose to fame through his creative use of Vine, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube, where he has over 40 million combined followers. He has starred in fashion campaigns for Calvin Klein, Dolce & Gabanna and Carolina Herrera. In 2016, he starred in and executive produced a documentary series for Netflix called Chasing Cameron.

The award-winning hit new Broadway musical Mean Girls, produced by Lorne Michaels, Stuart Thompson, Sonia Friedman, and Paramount Pictures, has once again broken the August Wilson Theatre box office record for an eight performance week, grossing 1,572,995.95 for the week ending June 17, 2018. A new block of tickets has been released for performances through Sunday, July 7, 2019 with group bookings open through November 24, 2019.

Mean Girls and My Fair Lady are taking to the road: With the Broadway productions of the musicals up for a combined 22 Tony Awards, national tours for both shows were announced today for fall 2019.
Dates, cities and casting were not announced for either show.

“Working with Tina and Jeff to bring Mean Girls to Broadway these past five years has been one of the happiest experiences of my life,” said producer Lorne Michaels. “We’re so proud of the show and thrilled people all over the country will see it.”
Mean Girls opened on Broadway last month at the August Wilson Theatre.
