- Born in Los Angeles, California, Ron went to Loyola High School and Loyola University. He wrote sketches for the Los Angeles presentation of Jerry Herman's "Parade" and went on tour as a writer with the Linda Darnell night club act in 1960. From 1964 to 1971, Ron produced television commercials fro several to New York advertising agencies from 1963 until 1971 winning a Cannes Gold Lion for best commercial in 1969. He worked as a free-lance writer upon his return to Los Angeles in 1971. 1979 until 1996 he was Supervising Casting Director for Universal-M.C.A. television. He cast such shows as Murder She Wrote, Columbo, Simon and Simon, Knight Rider, B.J. and The Bear, The Incredible Hulk, Magnum P.I. and Semi-Tough.
