Two teenage boys, out for a good time in Tijuana, come across the box that summons Pinhead and his minions.
Cheap sequel meant to cash in on the popularity of the Hellraiser series. Being honest, Stephan Smith Collins is no Doug Bradley. Collins lacks the powerful presence that Bradley exuded in the role of Pinhead. Plot elements dealing with the Cenobites lack the pizazz or finesse of earlier entries. And the story involving a group of adults crying over their missing children is, well, dull. However, the story involving two teenage kids (Nick Eversman, Jay Gillespie) and how they get involved with the box is pretty interesting. In fact that is the best part about Hellraiser: Revelations. The ninth film in the Hellraiser film series is set to move to DVD shelves October 18th and now the first trailer for this feature is available. Actor Doug Bradley has played Pinhead, the central antagonist, in the previous eight films, but he declined to participate in this latest film, titled Hellraiser: Revelations, after reading the script (Bradley). The short shoot time of two weeks also signals a possible rush to complete the film by Puzzlebox Films, which has no other titles attached to its name. Horror fans and Hellraiser fans can take a look at the clip here, which involves a late night at a bar, a bum, a box, and a bumbling line or two.
As well, Dimension Extreme will distribute this title. Other films released from this American film distributor include several sequels such as Feast II: Sloppy Seconds, Feast III: The Happy Finish, Pulse 2: Afterlife,...

Dimension Extreme continues to flirt with disaster in their latest release Hellraiser: Revelations. This is the ninth Hellraiser film and the first to not have actor Doug Bradley in the lead role of Pinhead. All nine films are based on Clive Barker's novel The Hellbound Heart. Early reviews on this latest film have not been kind, with the Foy Wonder at Dread Central calling this film "rushed" and giving the film 0 out of 5 knives. So, this article is more of a warning than an endorsement. More details on the release are below.
The synopsis for Hellraiser: Revelations is here:
"Two friends in Mexico discover the Lament Configuration and unleash Pinhead, but one decides to try to survive by swapping himself with someone else. Once they go missing, family members go in search of them but find Pinhead instead" (Dread).
Release Date: October 18, 2011 (DVD, Blu-Ray).
Director: Victor Garcia.
Writer: Gary J. Tunnicliffe.

After weeks of absence, I can safely say that I have missed my Mentalist. And I was gratified to have an entertaining and revealing episode. Jane surprised me. That doesn't happen often, people. The case is clearly inconsequential to the giant puddle of crap Jane has stepped in, and trust Lisbon to save his pretty butt. We're back in Laroche's (Pruitt Taylor Vince) Hummel-decorated house while a masked robber rummages through his stuff. He breaks into a safe, but only finds some coins and a Tupperware dish. Who keeps Tupperware in a safe? Laroche shows up, but his menace is diminished by his ever-present fluffy white dog in his arms. After firing off a few shots, the robber escapes, only to be tackled down and arrested by waiting cops outside. Then we see Jane's (Simon Baker) little skittle of a car leaving the scene down the street. This is where I said,...

Yesterday was an interesting day, no? It was discovered that Dimension was screening Victor Garcia's rushed Hellraiser: Revelations in a single solitary theater in Los Angeles, California (write your user reviews here). Upon confirming the story, we learned that this was actually a "cast and crew" screening that was open to the public. Big mistake. Bloody Disgusting's Micah and BC infiltrated the screening and have returned with depressing news. Pinhead, and his franchise, continue to be dead. Starring Steven Brand as the new Cenobite king, Sanny Van Heteren, Tracey Fairaway, Daniel Buran, and Devon Sorvari also were cast in the pic that follows two friends who unleash Pinhead. While BC finishes up his review, inside you'll find Micah's thoughts that basically exclaim that at the least the gore is good. Sigh.

Well just like we told y'all the other day about the latest future flop Children of the Corn movie heading for some reshoots now comes word that Victor Garcia and company are going to have to do some reshoots for Hellraiser: Revelations as well and this really comes as no surprise seeing how fast this film was thrown together and filmed (in only two weeks). Casting is underway with plans of adding more deaths which is always a good thing for a horror movie. This installment was by long-time Hellraiser FX artist Gary Tunnicliffe. The plot follows two friends who unleash Pinhead, who becomes their master of pain. Apparently, one of the friends has a change of heart. He backs out on his oath and hopes to swap himself out with one of his friends family members. Steven Brand, Sanny Van Heteren, Tracey Fairaway, Daniel Buran, and Devon Sorvari all starring in this "epic" sequel.

Laster this week, Victor Garcia (interview) is getting back behind the camera for a few additional days of photography on Hellraiser: Revelations. Casting is underway with implications of adding some more deaths to the stand alone film. Penned by special effects artists Gary Tunnicliffe, the project was quickly assembled to avoid the Weinstein Company losing the rights to the franchise. Because of the urgency behind the shoot, Garcia was only allowed 2 weeks to film an entire movie. An additional few days could really help the end product. The plot will follow two friends who unleash Pinhead, who becomes their master of pain. Apparently, one of the friends has a change of heart. He backs out on his oath hoping to swap himself out with one of hi friend's family members. Steven Brand, Sanny Van Heteren (interview), Tracey Fairaway, Daniel Buran, and Devon Sorvari all star.

Judging by these pictures of the all new Pinhead it looks like filming on Dimension Films controversial new entry in the Hellraiser franchise, Hellraiser: Revelations, is underway. The film follows:
…two friends who unleash Pinhead, who becomes their master of pain. Apparently, one of the friends has a change of heart. He backs out on his oath hoping to swap himself out with one of his friend’s family members. Steven (Eversman) kicks off the mayhem while on a backpacking trip in Mexico with his friend Nico (Gillespie). On their trip the duo are presented with a choice to “experience a reality beyond current existence”thanks to the infamous puzzle box. Pinhead becomes his master. The story continues as Nico realizes that he’s commitment to Pinhead forever, and thus attempts a daring switch plan to release himself from the puzzle box. But apparently things go wrong as he’s...

It's hard to imagine anyone but the great Doug Bradley in the make-up as the iconic Pinhead, but like it or not, it is happening. Replacing Bradley is actor Stephan Smith Collins, and we've got your first look at him in character.
Styd scored the first images (click the link to see the other) from the flick which you can see below. Shock indicates that they're not sure if this is Pseudo Pinhead or the master himself, but for our money Stephan Smith Collins still comes through no matter the make-up. Dig on the images below and let us know what you think.
Collins is joined by Devon Sorvari, Steven Brand, Sanny Van Heteren, Tracey Fairaway, Daniel Buran, Nick Eversman, and Jay Gillespie, who will star as "Nico/Pseudo-Pinhead". Director Victor Garcia (Mirrors 2) is directing from Gary J. Tunnicliffe's script.

There’s been quite a bit of behind the scenes movement on the latest entry in the Hellraiser series, Hellraiser: Revelations – and there has to be, the film needs to be in the can by the end of the year in order for Dimension to retain the rights to the franchise. According to Bloody Disgusting, the cast of the movie is now almost complete – it includes Devon Sorvari (The Dark, The Realm), Steven Brand (as “Dr. Ross Craven”), Sanny Van Heteren (as “Kate Bradley”), Tracey Fairaway (as “Emma”) and Daniel Buran (as “Vagrant”).
Also cast in the film – which is currently filming in Los Angeles under the direction of Víctor Garcia (Return to House on Haunted Hill, Mirrors II) - are Nick Eversman (Vampires Suck) as “Steven” and Jay Gillespie will star as “Nico, aka Pseudo-Pinhead”. But the biggest announcement is about this guy:

Just how bad were the last few Hellraiser sequels? I ask because the absolute last straw for me was the one in which Dean Winters fell victim to an inexplicably malicious Kirsty Cotton. And now it seems Dimension has gone ahead with a sequel so sloppy and half-assed that Doug Bradley has decided he won't be involved. What can that possibly tell you about the quality?
Regardless, the ever-diligent folks at Bloody-Disgusting have learned who will be stepping into Pinhead's robe for the upcoming Hellraiser: Arbitrary Noun Here. Stephan Smith Collins (pictured, right) will play the Lead Cenobite, as he menaces a duo who've somehow opened the puzzle box. Update: And B-d has a look at who has been cast As Pinhead right here . Filming wraps this week on Hellraiser: Revelations , believe it or not. Nick Eversman, Steven Brand, Tracey Fairaway, Jay Gillespie, Sanny Van Heteren, Daniel Buran and Devon Sorvari lead the cast. Unfortunately, the Peta Wilson revealed elsewhere was prematurely announced. What's worth noting is that on the IMDb, actor Jay Gillespie (pictured) is listed as "pseudo Pinhead." As you all know, Doug Bradley - who played Pinhead through eight films - turned down the opportunity to return. Gillespie is clearly much younger, so I wonder how that affects the...

Update: We learned exclusively that Peta Wilson has been replaced by Devon Sorvari (The Dark, The Realm). According to the ever-so unreliable IMDb Steven Brand (as "Dr. Ross Craven"), Sanny Van Heteren (as "Kate Bradley"), Tracey Fairaway (as "Emma") and Daniel Buran (as "Vagrant") all star in Dimension Films' low budget Hellraiser: Revelations. If the site is correct, Brand landed the lead role of Dr. Craven, a man who is attempting to bring the family back to normal after his son went missing two years ago. He's described as a "good man that has fought hard to keep his family together." Fairaway plays his daughter, Emma, described as "lovely and inquisitive and on the verge of her own womanhood." Filming is already underway here in Los Angeles under the direction of Víctor Garcia (Return to House on Haunted Hill, Mirrors II). FX specialist Gary J. Tunnicliffe penned the screenplay.
