Peacock has unveiled the first trailer for Paul T. Goldman, a wild new comedy series from Borat Subsequent Moviefilm director Jason Woliner and Seth Rogen.
Woliner has been shooting the project for over a decade. It’s in the style of Woliner’s work on Borat Subsequent Moviefilm, a series “that fact and fiction to tell a bizarre and incredible tale.”
Woliner explains how he embarked on the project in a letter that accompanies that show’s announcement. He wrote that Goldman tweeted at him (and hundreds of others) in 2012 that he had written a book and screenplay about “an incredible tale” and was seeking help to bring it to the screen. Woliner ended up buying the book, and ten years later, we have the Peacock series which stars Goldman himself.

Director Jason Woliner took over the "Borat" franchise from Larry Charles with the raucously hilarious follow-up "Borat Subsequent Moviefilm," making headlines around the world and sending shockwaves across the web. Since then, it sounds like he's been busy putting the finishing touches on a Peacock original series that follows in the same footsteps of the documentary style comedy that has made millions cringe and crack up at the same time.
Peacock has just debuted the first trailer for a new series called "Paul T. Goldman." Who is this? Well, as far as we know, it's not a new character from Sacha Baron Cohen, though we wouldn't be surprised if you thought that after getting a glimpse at this peculiar man and the journey he's taken over the past decade. The streaming service describes the new series as "a groundbreaking project that mixes fact and fiction to tell a bizarre and incredible tale,...

It is not yet Christmas 2022, and we already have a contender for “Weirdest TV Show of 2023.” Peacock just debuted the trailer for New Year’s Day release “Paul T. Goldman” — the series, like Paul T. Goldman himself, looks positively nuts. And we mean that in the very best way possible.
A docu-comedy in the style of “The Rehearsal” or HBO’s two-season series “How to With John Wilson” — both produced by Nathan Fielder — “Paul T. Goldman” is the passion project of Jason Woliner. Best known for directing 2020’s “Borat Subsequent Moviefilm,” Woliner is a veteran comedy director, with episodes of “The Last Man on Earth,” “Parks and Recreation,” and Fielder’s Comedy Central series “Nathan For You” on his résumé.
As he explains in a letter that accompanied the show’s announcement, Woliner has been working on this series for 10 years. Goldman tweeted at Woliner (and hundreds of others) in...

“Bad Sisters,” the Apple TV+ dark comedy series created by and starring Sharon Horgan, has been renewed for Season 2, the streamer announced. The news comes less than a month after its 10-episode first season concluded on October 14.
Based on the 2012 Flemish TV series “Clan,” “Bad Sisters” stars Horgan as Eva Garvey, the eldest of five sisters, who ends up in the middle of a life insurance investigation when her brother-in-law John Paul (Claes Bang) dies under uncertain circumstances. As overzealous insurance agent Thomas (Brian Gleeson) tries to prove Eva and her sisters’ involvement in the death, the show flips from the weeks following his funeral to the weeks leading up to his death, when Eva plotted to murder John Paul with Ursula (Eva Birthistle), Bibi (Sarah Greene), and Becka (Eve Hewson) in revenge for his abusive treatment of their sister Grace (Anne Marie-Duff).

It’s the news “Bad Sisters” fans have been hoping for: the limited series has been commissioned for a second season, meaning the murderous Garvey sisters are set to grace our screens once more.
Apple TV+ and executive producer and star Sharon Horgan confirmed the second season order on Tuesday (Nov. 8), although no other info – including potential release date, cast or plot details – has been revealed.
An adaptation of Belgian limited series “Clan,” “Bad Sisters” launched earlier this year with Horgan playing de-facto Irish matriarch Eva Garvey to her four younger sisters Grace (Anne-Marie Duff), Bibi (Sarah Greene), Ursula (Eva Birthistle) and Becka (Eve Hewson) in the wake of their parents’ deaths.

“If you’d have told me three years ago that I’d be making a series about five murderous sisters chasing a man around Ireland trying to kill him, I’d have said, ‘Yeah, that sounds about right,’” said Horgan. “The response to our show had been beyond what we could have hoped for. It gave us the opportunity to shine a light on stories that don’t always get such a global platform. I look forward to getting chilly in the Irish Sea one more time.

Apple TV+ will spend more time with its group of Bad Sisters.
The tech behemoth’s streaming service has ordered a second season of its dark comedy/murder mystery Bad Sisters, co-created by and starring Sharon Horgan. The renewal comes comes a few weeks after the conclusion of the 10-episode first season, which has earned mostly positive reviews from critics (The Hollywood Reporter’s Angie Han called it “never boring” but also “slightly less than the sum of its parts”). Apple TV+ doesn’t self-report any viewing data, and the show did not break into Nielsen’s streaming top 10 during its run.

Vampires vs the Bronx trailer is out now and it looks every bit as fun and scary.
Netflix has released the first full trailer for the upcoming horror-comedy just in time for Halloween.
Vampires vs the Bronx follows a group of young friends from the Bronx who come together to defend their neighborhood from a band of blood-sucking vampires.

Produced by SNL creator Lorne Michaels alongside Erin David, Bert Hamelinck, and Michael Sagol, Vampires vs the Bronx features Jaden Michael, Gregory Diaz IV, Gerald W. Jones III, Shea Whigham, Cliff 'Method Man' Smith, Coco Jones, Joel 'The Kid Mero' Martinez, Chris Redd, Vladimir Caamano,...

Ever wonder what effect a crosstown might have on vampires? Netflix’s upcoming horror comedy is an educational look at an urban problem. There’s a lot of things happening in the neighborhood right now. Keep your eyes open. That may sound vague, but the new Vampires vs. the Bronx trailer is about a silent threat: gentrification. And it’s not just any old white people buying up property in the Boogie Down Bronx; it’s ancient old people who stay that way by sucking the blood out of locals while draining the community of anything special. Have you noticed those missing kids’ posters?
Vampires vs. the Bronx comes from Dominican Republic-raised director Oz Rodriguez, who has worked on Saturday Night Live, A.P. Bio, The Last Man On Earth, and Shrill and Sunnyside. Rodriguez co-wrote the screenplay with Blaise Hemingway (UglyDolls). With the picture being produced by Lorne Michaels, Erin David,...

Who is John Bronco? He’s a world class racer, a rodeo star, a sex symbol and a legendary pitchman who’s face was instantly recognizable on the Ford Bronco and countless products — and he’s also Walton Goggins and never existed.
But that shouldn’t stop anyone from inflating his legend, as the new short film “John Bronco” aims to do. The mockumentary is the latest from Jake Szymanski, the director who told similarly fake sports legends in the films “Tour de Pharmacy” and “7 Days in Hell.”
“John Bronco” though is a different sort of fake sports icon, a 1966 legend whose jingle went triple-platinum and could be heard in ads for his own cologne, breakfast cereal, video game, action figure and more. The film describes him as the “very embodiment of the American dream, that is, until it all came crashing down.”
