Here’s a couple of new images from Matt Damon’s Green Zone. If you didn’t catch our news about it a couple of days ago, both the Domestic and International trailers were released 12 hours apart from one another which caught us all by surprise as they were completely different in their content. We have them both on HeyUGuys for your viewing pleasure – click the links above to view. The international trailer gives you a much better idea of the story but they’re both worth a watch.
In the meantime, we have these new images (click them below to enlarge) from the movie which is set to blow your socks off March 12th. As well as Damon, Green Zone stars Greg Kinnear, Amy Ryan, Brendan Gleeson, Jason Isaacs, Khalid Abdalla.

Ho ho ho, Merry- wait, that’s not right. Gobble gobble! Happy Thanks- shoot, that’s not right either. Ahem. *evil high-pitched cackle* Happy Halloween! Ah, there we go. Sorry for the confusion there, folks. It happens when you try to get a Turkey Santa Claus costume for this special day. You get confused. For some reason, I couldn’t find one anywhere, but enough about me. And since it’s Halloween weekend, time for scary movies! Right?
Maybe not so much. At least not new ones, as it looks like Hollywood decided too many folks were going to be out trick-or-treating to check out a new movie this weekend. Fortunately or unfortunately, Saw VI came out last week and Paranormal Activity is still in theaters scaring up big bucks (more on that later).
First up this week, we have Michael Jackson’s sold out This Is It that opened on Wednesday. »

The first trailer for Green Zone, the new Matt Damon thriller directed by The Bourne Ultimatum's Paul Greengrass, just hit the Web two days ago. But apparently there was a surplus of kick-ass, leaving the filmmakers no choice but to release a second, equally awesome trailer today. The new trailer packs a lot of the same plot set-up — Damon is an army warrant officer who butts heads with a cagey journalist (Amy Ryan) and a shady government dude (Greg Kinnear). But this time around, we're served even more intense action, including some jaw-dropping shots of a flaming helicopter spiraling »

The brand new European trailer has been released for Paul Greengrass‘ latest offering, Green Zone. The film stars Matt Damon, Jason Isaacs, Greg Kinnear, Amy Ryan, Antoni Corone and Nicoye Banks and invades UK theatres from 12th March 2010.
United 93 director Paul Greengrass explores the aftermath of the Iraq invasion in this feature adaptation of author Rajiv Chandrasekaran’s literary exposé of the same name. A one-time Baghdad bureau chief of the Washington Post, Chandrasekaran was present as American forces attempted to set up a provisional government on the grounds surrounding former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein’s opulent palace. The resulting governing body, according to critics, existed in a bubble so far removed from the grim realities of the Iraq War that it failed to properly assess the needs of the people. In this fictional thriller set during the U.S.-led occupation of Baghdad, director Greengrass and screenwriter Brian Helgeland »

Just recently a couple of trailers appeared online for two highly-anticipated films starring Matt Damon: Paul Greengrass’ Green Zone and Clint Eastwood’s Invictus. They are very different types of movies – Green Zone being like Bourne set during the Iraq War and Invictus looking like one of those biopics that is clearly “Oscar-ish.” Check out both of the trailers below.
Green Zone reunites the Bourne director Paul Greengrass and star, Matt Damon, and is a war-drama/thriller about about a pair of CIA agents on the trail of weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. We reported back in the summer of this year that Green Zone had been moved from a late 2009 release to March 12th, 2010, leading to some confusion over that why, as the film seems like prime material for the Oscars.
However, as you’ll see in the trailer below – much as was the case »

Universal Pictures has brought forth the first trailer for its forthcoming thriller "Green Zone". Debuted at Yahoo! Movies, the promo video features glimpses of Matt Damon as Chief Warrant Officer Roy Miller, Greg Kinnear as CIA officer Clark Poundstone and Amy Ryan as The Wall Street Journal's foreign correspondent Lawrie Dayne.
Set in the chaotic early days of the Iraqi War, Roy Miller and his team of Army inspectors were dispatched to find weapons of mass destruction believed to be stockpiled in the Iraqi desert. Going from one booby-trapped and treacherous site to the next, the men stumble upon an elaborate cover-up that inverts the purpose of their mission instead of finding deadly chemical agents.
Soon, Miller finds himself in a world where no one could be trusted and every decision could detonate unforeseen consequences. Still, he faces the danger head on. And, through covert and faulty intelligence hidden on foreign soil, »

And here, we thought they were still just working on the script for the fourth Bourne movie. As it turns out, director Paul Greengrass and star Matt Damon have been working on it for quite some time, they've just been calling it Green Zone. And try as they may to convince us that it is something new and different, I think we can all agree to what it really is -- Jason Bourne in Iraq. Not that there's anything wrong with that -- I quite like the idea of a Bourne-style thriller set inside the current Middle Eastern war theatre. Beats most of the Iraq war movies (save for The Hurt Locker, naturally) that we've seen thus far. Officially, Green Zone stars Matt Damon as Chief Warrant Officer Roy Miller, an Army man whose specialized skills make him the perfect man to go in and take down the enemy all by himself. After »

Directed by: Paul Greengrass
Starring: Matt Damon, Greg Kinnear, Amy Ryan, Brendan Gleeson
Rating: R
Release Date: March 12, 2010
Trailer Score: 6/10
My Thoughts: I’m sure this movie is going to be all kinds of good clean fun (you know, “clean” as in explosions, machine guns, tough talkers, etc.), but the trailer is bland. Yes, it’s exciting that Paul Greengrass and Matt Damon are reuniting post-Bourne Supremacy, and it’s tough to lose with that winning combo. However, the trailer makes it look like just another Bourne movie without Jason Bourne–and that conflicted and mysterious character is key to the franchise. Who cares about another swaggering fearless hero? It’s all surface, baby. You could put Vin Deisel in Green Zone and no one would even bat an eye.
All the trailer needs to tell us is that our favorite action couple is back. It should cut through all the silly, »

Matt Damon and Paul Greengrass continue to wage war against the U.S. Government and their lies (Lies, I tell you, lies!!!) in “Green Zone”, the latest attempt by Hollywood to wring some cash out of the Iraq War, never you mind that all the previous efforts have failed mightily. They’re hoping the combined star power of Greengrass and Damon, and the sure-to-be continued mention of “From the makers of ‘The Bourne’ films!!” will sell tickets. The smarter move would be to focus more on the opening scene in the trailer and less on the political conspiracy angle, which at this point is so predictable that it borders on being boring. Via Yahoo. Chief Warrant Officer Roy Miller is a rogue U.S. Army officer who must hunt through covert and faulty intelligence hidden on foreign soil before war escalates in an unstable region.
