- Wade Rubottom worked for Walt Disney's private design firm, WED Enterprises, in 1954-55 as an Art Director responsible for Disneyland's Main Street, U.S.A. He later worked for Marco Engineering (with C. V. Wood, Jr., Disneyland's first General Manager) and designed Freedomland, one of the first theme parks to follow Disneyland. Through his MGM experience, Rubottom knew art director Randall Duell who formed an architectural practice that perfected the theme park formula. Randall Duell & Associates designed most of the theme parks in the U. S. in the 1960s and 1970s.
