Marvel Comics’ “G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero” #290, available March 16, 2022 is written by Larry Hama and illustrated by Heather Vaughan, with covers by Freddie Williams II, Vaughan, John Royle and Jagdish Kumar:
“…they are an ‘Eastern Bloc’ legend. They've gone toe-to-toe with ’G.I. Joe’ and ‘Cobra’ more than once. They've even stood side-by-side with their American counterparts on occasion. They bring serious heat to the ‘Cold War’... in more ways than one.
“They've celebrated victories and they've suffered losses, but somehow have remained intact. But wait -- how, after said losses, have they remained intact? We are going to open the top-secret dossier, remove those pesky redactions, and fill everyone in on long-awaited answers in... ‘Spotlight: Oktober Guard’…”

Idw Publishing's "G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero" #273, showcasing 'Snake Eyes', is written by Larry Hama and illustrated by Robert Atkins, with covers by Atkins, Jamie Sullivan, John Royle and Mike Mayhew:
"...in 'Snake Hunt- Part 8', 'Cobra Commander' wants a 'Snake Eyes' of his own. But the 'Joes' have other ideas. It'll take two armies to settle this dispute!
"It's all hands on deck for both 'G.I. Joe' and 'Cobra', featuring every single member of G.I. Joe! There's no halftime break in this contest. All action, all the time..."
"...it all started with 'Snake Hunt - Part 1', The original 'Snake Eyes' is dead. Even though his memories and skill went to 'Dawn Moreno', 'Sean Collins' has taken up the mantle of Snake Eyes so that the forces of 'Cobra' don't know that the original has died. The finale to Elvira: Mistress of the Dark is here and has two sides. We are happy to read the conclusion in issue #12 to this very well-written/illustrated series, but sad to see the Mistress of the Dark's adventures end in this comic's run. Also in today's Comics Corner: the first issue (of two) of Hellboy and the Bprd: The Return of Effie Kolb, as well as Death to the Army of Darkness #1 and Blade Runner 2019 #6.
*Recommended* Elvira: Mistress of the Dark #12: "(W) David Avallone (A) Dave Acosta (CA) Tom Mandrake
The Witch Cult Saga concludes, and a surprise villain returns from Elvira's past! (At least... it's a surprise if you don't look at John Royle's variant cover...) The Mistress of the Dark can deliver you a climax like no other, and here it comes, in the twelfth and final issue of Elvira's ribald romp, brought to you with joy,...

There’s another Blade Runner story coming in the form of a comic book. It’s called Blade Runner 2019 and it comes from Titan Comics. We may never get another movie, but it’s cool to know that more stories will be told in the universe through different mediums.
The comic was written by Blade Runner 2049 screenwriter Michael Green and long-term collaborator Mike Johnson. The comic will run for 12 issues and the story will follow a veteran Blade Runner named Ash, “as she takes on a new case: the search for the missing family of a billionaire with connections to the Tyrells, whose disappearance may be connected to rogue Replicants.”
Art for the comic will be done by Andres Guinaldo, with covers for the first issue coming from Guinaldo, John Royle, Syd Mead and Artgerm.
Thanks to THR, you can watch a trailer for the comic below and the...

New year, same problems. As part of their preview of their 2016 movie preview (preview-ception!) released this photo released of the casts from Fox’s ‘X-Men’ universe taken by Sarah Dunn at Sdcc last year and augmented by illustrator John Royle. Actors from “X-Men Apocalypse,” “Deadpool,” “Gambit,” and the untitled Wolverine sequel were all on display. Well, not everyone. Some Very key players were missing. And the Internet noticed…immediately. Image Credit: 20th Century Fox/Empire Magazine Do you see it? Do you see who’s missing? The young mutants, including Storm (Alexandria Shipp), Jubilee (Lana Condor), are nowhere to be seen. Considering the microscope Hollywood has been under over diversity — or lack thereof — in recent years, it seems a gross misstep to remove two WoC (Women of Color) from the group shot. But wait, it gets weirder. With Twitter questioning just how this happened, eagle-eyed user TASK1ne noticed something very familiar about this photo.

Empire Magazine have shared an exclusive image of the entire X-Universe cast, or at least those who attended the San Diego Comic-Con last year. It’s a pretty cool image, with some great background art provided by John Royle. We’ve got actors from the entire upcoming slate of films either in post- or pre-production, including Hugh Jackman (who’ll be getting a third Wolverine solo film), Channing Tatum (appearing as Gambit in his film, touted for this year), Ryan Reynolds and the majority of the players from his Deadpool flick, as well as most of the cast from X-Men: Apocalypse, due out in five short months. Take a look at the entire image below.

You have to admit, that is one heck of a cast Fox have pulled together – and with the A-List stars of Jennifer Lawrence, Oscar Isaac,...
