- Founder of The Comic Strip, a group of comedians who gathered at The Revue bar in London's Soho in the early 1980s. Soon after The Group were signed to channel 4 where they made a series of pioneering comedy TV films featuring the likes of Adrian Edmondson, Rik Mayall, Jennifer Saunders and Robbie Coltrane, they made a few films for the BBC but returned to Channel 4 for Four Men in a Car (1998) and Four Men in a Plane (2000).

- Comedy partner of Nigel Planer. Both he and Nigel worked at Peter's parents summer camp.
