Exclusive: Deadline has an exclusive clip from the feature doc Since I Been Down, which is set for release on VOD on May 24th.
The film from director Gilda Sheppard stakes us to Tacoma, Washington. These children, who are now adults, cannot be silenced. As we hear them tell their stories, bravely, unapologetically, we realize: This is the story of ‘Everytown USA’.
June Nho Ivers, Saman Maydani and Bonnie Benjamin-Phariss produced the doc, with Sheppard and David Menschel serving as executive producers. Our exclusive clip from the film can be found below.

The Jonathan Mostow-directed, Sam Worthington-led thriller "For The Dogs" has undergone a title change to "Hunter’s Prayer" and scored a financial commitment from Screen Yorkshire.
Based on Kevin Wignall's novel, Worthington plays a solitary assassin who is hired to kill a young girl but can’t bring himself to do it. After he fails to carry out the task, both are marked for death and hunted across Europe.
Their only hope is to find out why her family were killed and bring those responsible to justice. Emma Roberts and Hailee Steinfeld were both previously linked to the project but are no longer in the frame, so casting continues for the female lead.
Worthington, Navid McIlhargey, Anthony Rhulen, Chris Milburn, Paul Leyden, and John and Michael Schwarz will produce. Filming begins in the UK and Hungary next year.

Get ready for more shocking news! We’ve just learned that a 2004 sci-fi psychological thriller The Butterfly Effect is getting a reboot! Why? We have no idea. But what we do know is that FilmEngine and New Line-based BenderSpink are behind the upcoming project, and that original writer and director Eric Bress is on board to pen the new script. At this moment still nothing about the possible director, but everything else is pretty much the same. Variety reports that a reboot is in the works for the 2004 sci-fi thriller The Butterfly Effect, with the original’s writer and director Eric Bress attached to write the script for the update.
The original film starred Ashton Kutcher and was a big hit for New Line Cinema, grossing a worldwide total of $96 million on a budget of $13 million, despite mixed to negative reviews from critics, so it was only a matter of time until a reboot got off the ground. Critics disliked the film’s dark tone and had problems with its inconsistent use of time travel mechanics, though audiences flocked to it in droves.
In The Butterfly Effect, Kutcher played a man who travels back in time to correct past mistakes, only to realize that small actions in the past have unexpected consequences for his future self and the people around him.
No director is currently attached to the project.

The original film's writer-director Eric Bress is on board to pen the new script, but no director is yet attached.

The Butterfly Effect starring Ashton Kutcher and Amy Smart is getting a remake, reports Variety. Why though, I have no idea. The original film is some of Jobs star Kutcher's best work and one of the more memorable sci-fi thrillers I've seen. Still, at least Eric Bress, who wrote and directed the original film with J. Mackye Gruber, is on board again as a writer. Also back on board are producers A.J. Dix, Anthony Rhulen, Chris Bender and Jc Spink. The first film also included Elden Henson and Melora Walters, which then got a sequel. This remake has no director on board as yet. In The Butterfly Effect, Evan Treborn (Kutcher) has a life filled with empty spaces due to the fact that he's blocked out horendous childhood events from an early age. A child psychologist tells his mother to encourage...

Although less than a decade old, sci-fi thriller The Butterfly Effect is reportedly being remade...
When it came out in 2004, The Butterfly Effect received mixed reviews but succeeded in being a minor box office success. Ashton Kutcher starred as a young man suffering from the effects of a traumatic past who uses time travel to try to fix all the things that went wrong - but unfortunately, the changes he makes affect the present in ways he can't predict.
Less than a decade on from its original release, there's a remake in the works - and it has at least a couple of links with the original, including the same producers (Aj Dix, Anthony Rhulen, Chris Bender and Jc Spink, in case you were wondering) and the writer and director of the original film, Eric Bress, writing a new take on the script.

Hey, if you needed a professional hitman to protect you from other professional hitmen, I don’t suppose the guy from “Avatar” is such a bad choice. Minus the wheelchair, I mean. Sam Worthington has signed on to star in “Salt” director Phillip Noyce’s “For the Dogs”, a film that would find the “Terminator Salvation” star playing “an assassin who agrees to help a bright college girl exact revenge on those who mercilessly murdered her parents and younger brother.” Noyce will direct for FilmEngine Entertainment from a script by Oren Moverman, who adapted the novel of the same name by Kevin Wignall. Worthington’s character will be one of those brooding hitman trying to get out of the business, but keeps getting pulled back in. Wignall’s novel is a bloody, fast-pace thriller, so expect the movie to be similarly action-packed. Anthony Rhulen and Navid McIlhargey will produce. Sam Worthington...
