Harrison Ford, who just turned 80 years old this year, is always keeping himself busy. After stepping right back into one of his most iconic characters over the course of 20 months in the middle of the pandemic, he wrapped on "Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny" only to go straight into filming on Apple TV+'s limited comedy series "Shrinking." Finally, starring opposite Helen Mirin, Ford went to the cold Montana mountains to play the patriarch of the Dutton family in the "Yellowstone" spin-off "1923."
There are actors a fraction of Ford's age that wouldn't be able to keep up and could easily find themselves exhausted by all this movement and pressures to live up to past expectations. Despite his grumpy exterior and persona, Ford enjoys keeping himself occupied. "I don't want to reinvent myself," Ford told the New York Times. "I just want to work."

Lukita Maxwell always wanted to pursue acting but didn’t know it was possible without industry connections. “I thought that actors were just all nepotism babies,” Maxwell says. “If you were born into acting, you were born into royalty, and I couldn’t act because I wasn’t born into a family of actors.”
Now, she’s starring alongside Jason Segel and Harrison Ford on the Apple TV+ comedy Shrinking, which premieres Jan. 27. Maxwell plays Alice, the strong, independent daughter to Segel’s Jimmy, a grieving therapist who has lost his wife in an accident.
Created and co-written by Bill Lawrence, Brett Goldstein and Segel, Shrinking packs lots of industry power. “It was the most intimidating trifecta of comedy I had ever seen,” the Indonesia-born actress, 21, remembers of her audition process. “I didn’t think I was ever going to get the role. I didn’t think that I had the chops to do that.

Jason Segel is a spiraling therapist, grieving the loss of his wife, in the official trailer for AppleTV+’s Shrinking.
In the nearly three-minute look at the series — written by Segel, Brett Goldstein and Bill Lawrence — the How I Met Your Mother alum breaks all the rules of therapy and begins telling his clients exactly what he thinks instead of letting them make their own decisions.
“Ignoring his training and ethics, he finds himself making huge, tumultuous changes to people’s lives…including his own,” the logline reads.
The trailer, set to Kid Cudi’s “Pursuit of Happiness (Nightmare),” opens with shots of Segel’s Jimmy seeing his clients. “What’s on your mind today?” he asks one of them. “I wanna change, but I’m not particularly open to make those changes,” the client replies. “Right, how does that make you feel?” Segel asks, after seemingly waking up from a mid-session nap.

Just because Bill Lawrence and Brett Goldstein were busy making Ted Lasso didn't mean they couldn't also carve out some time to work with Jason Segel on creating and co-writing his new comedy, Shrinking, which also has a home on Apple TV+. Oh, and they also persuaded Harrison Ford to sign up. See the first teaser for the show below…
Not that you would necessarily know it from the teaser (which features no actual footage from the series), but Shrinking finds Segel as a grieving therapist who starts to break the rules and tell his clients exactly what he thinks. Ignoring his training and ethics, he finds himself making huge, tumultuous changes to people’s lives… including his own.
Ford, meanwhile, plays Dr. Phil Rhodes, a down-to earth, sharp as a tack “blue collar shrink,” blunt but with an ever present twinkle.
