“Safe Harbour” wastes no time setting up the parallel tracks for its story. In 2013, a group of leisurely yacht cruisers encounter a refugee ship in open waters off the coast of Australia. After five years and no contact during the intervening time, circumstances bring select inhabitants of both vessels into each other’s orbits again, this time back on land.
Now available on Hulu after premiering in Australia this past spring, this setup could easily veer into an empty attempt at an uplifting tale of human connection or, on the other hand, into an overly dark tale of anger and revenge. Instead, “Safe Harbour” takes a third direction: a mystery unfolding in four acts, where the importance of the final answer gives way to better understanding of how guilt and forgiveness can be powerful forces when set in opposition.

Just because a movie or a celebrity wins an Oscar, that doesn't mean the win was deserved. While the Academy Awards are seen as the capstone to awards season -- and one of the highest honors in the business -- we all know that stars and movies get snubbed or overlooked all the time.
What's worse is when we look back at what did win, and shake our heads in confusion and disbelief. So, with the 89th Academy Awards just around the corner, let's take a look back over the show's illustrious history at a few times the Academy voters clearly made a mistake.

From his entrance to "Supernatural"-friendly classic rock to his final comics-based answers, CW president Mark Pedowitz had plenty to share about his network. Find out details about "Nikita," "Beauty and the Beast" and more here.
"Nikita"
Rumors have indicated that the final six episodes of "Nikita" will air as three two-hour blocks. That's not the case, according to Mark Pedowitz. At least the first four episodes of Season 4 will air separately. The finale might combine two episodes for a two-hour event, but that's it.
Fans can watch for "Nikita" to return some time in mid-November.
What's up with the "Supernatural" spinoff? Find out here.
"Beauty and the Beast"
The show's main parts -- particularly the star-crossed romance of Cat and Vincent -- won't change but some other things will for Season 2. Behind the scenes, Brad Kern has joined the show as an executive producer. More visible for viewers will...

65% of new television shows are cancelled within their first year. With a failure rate that high, it can be dangerous for viewers to get attached to new programming. Genre television series are no exception; there were multiple horror and sci-fi themed shows cancelled this year alone. For every success story like American Horror Story, there are countless series that aren’t given a fair chance because their ratings debut is too low, or the show isn’t resonating with the target advertising demographic. Even shows that do enjoy a longer lifespan don’t always get to answer all of our questions, or explore all of the story arcs that the writers would like. A great recourse in those situations is to create a film version of the series. Sometimes the movie version works in tandem with the series broadcast schedule, while other times it gives the show’s creators a...

It comes as no surprise to longtime fans, but there is something magnetic and unusually compelling about Robert Knepper. He has employed that charisma to his benefit over the years, including unforgettable roles in Prison Break and Stargate: Universe. In an exclusive interview Robert Knepper shared the secret to his new character Billy Grimm’s cult-like success and provided a few clues that fans should be keeping a careful eye as the first season of Cult unfolds.
What is it about Cult that you think will hook viewers right away?
Robert: The simple answer is that there are so many different layers of the show. There’s the simple story of the brother trying to find his younger brother. There’s the idea of: Who is the real “cult”? There’s “Cult” on the inside-show, where Billy Grimm lives; and then there’s the outside-show where if anyone gets close to finding out the truth,...

Can a meta show be too meta? The creator of Cult, which features a show within the show, hopes that answer is no.
The new CW series stars Vampire Diaries alum Matt Davis as Jeff, a journalist who is prompted to investigate the rabid fans of a show called Cult when his brother goes missing. Jessica Lucas plays an inquisitive production assistant on the show whom he teams up with during his search. The series leads viewers to sometimes question if they're watching the "inside" show -- which stars Robert Knepper as cult leader Billy Grimm and Alona Tal as the cop searching for him --or the "outside" show which follows Jeff. The executive producer of the inside show, Stephen Rae, is also mysteriously labeled as the executive producer of the outside show that the audience is watching.

Universal Home Entertainment is gearing up for an all-new wolf man movie called (simply) Werewolf, which will be apart of their great new line of quality Dtv films like Death Race 2, Blue Crush 2, Scorpion King 3, and Death Race 3.
MovieHole has learned that Scarface‘s Steven Bauer will play a werewolf hunter in the film, which is going to film in Romania for five weeks soon. Also, Bauer confirmed that Stephen Rae and Ed Quinn are also in the film.
Even with the poor reception at the box office for Joe Johnston’s Wolf Man reboot, Uni is still keen on keeping their rusty old monsters alive, and that’s kind of cool. Hopefully, this will have that spark that the Wolf Man redo did not.
