Netflix has unveiled the first look of Liam Hemsworth as Geralt of Rivia in the 4th season of ‘The Witcher,’ taking over from Henry Cavill.

Created by Lauren Schmidt Hissrich, the cast also includes nya Chalotra (Yennefer of Vengerberg), Freya Allan (Princess Cirilla of Cintra), Joey Batey (Jaskier), Laurence Fishburne (Regis) Eamon Farren (Cahir), Anna Shaffer (Triss Merigold), Mimî M Khayisa (Fringilla), Cassie Clare (Philippa), Mahesh Jadu (Vilgefortz), Meng’er Zhang (Milva), Graham McTavish (Dijkstra), Royce Pierreson (Istredd), Mecia Simson (Francesca), Sharlto Copley (Leo Bonhart), Danny Woodburn (Zoltan...

Netflix has officially revealed a first look at Liam Hemsworth as Geralt of Rivia in the upcoming fourth season of The Witcher in a new video.
After the shocking, Continent-altering events that close out season three, the new season follows Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri, who are faced with traversing the war-ravaged Continent and its many demons apart from each other. If they can embrace and lead the groups of misfits they find themselves in, they have a chance of surviving the baptism of fire and finding one another again.
The streaming service previously gave the green light to Season 5 of The Witcher, which will film back-to-back with Season 4 and will be the final chapter in Geralt’s story.
Seasons 4 and 5 will adapt the remaining Sapkowski books, Baptism of Fire, The Tower of the Swallow, and Lady of the Lake, promising an epic and satisfying conclusion to Netflix’s hit fantasy drama.

More photos from the set of The Witcher season 4 have been shared online, and this time we have an actual first glimpse of Liam Hemsworth suited-up as Geralt of Rivia!
The recent third season of Netflix's fantasy adventure series was original Geralt actor Henry Cavill's last, as the Man of Steel star announced his decision to part ways with the streamer's adaptation of the best-selling novels back in 2022.
Hemsworth (The Hunger Games) will take over as the titular monster hunter from season 4 on, and a recent photo from the set featured his stunt-double Joel Adrian in-costume. Adrian looked enough like Hemsworth to fool a lot of people, but these snaps spotlight the man himself.
The photos show Hemsworth as Geralt doing battle with Vilgefortz (Mahesh Jadu), and appear to be recreating a scene from season 3 which saw the mage emerge victorious. There is also one shot of Geralt...

Based on Julia Quinn’s Romancing Mister Bridgerton Season 3 of Netflix and Shondaland’s Bridgerton watches the friends-to-lovers romance between Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) and Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) bloom. While their book comes fourth in the series after Benedict’s love story, the show has moved their installment up in the order of Bridgerton sibling romances. Francesca’s (Hannah Dodd) love story also intertwines more significantly in the expanded two-part season, with Part 1 releasing May 16 on Netflix and Part 2 June 13.
Ahead of Season 3 Part 1’s launch, showrunner Jess Brownell, producer Shonda Rhimes and author Julia Quinn confirmed that an important scene in which Colin cuts his hand would feature in the show. This scene first sparks Colin’s more-than-platonic consideration of Penelope as she bandages his hand. As the Lord of the Rings franchise has pulled in nearly $6 billion over the course of six movies, it was only natural that Warner Bros. would return to the well. That’s why it didn’t come as a big surprise when it was announced that more Lord of the Rings movies are in development, the first of which will be Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum.
In addition to reprising his role as Gollum, Andy Serkis is set to direct The Hunt for Gollum, which will be written by Fran Walsh and Philippa Boyens and produced by Peter Jackson. As for why the Og Lord of the Rings team has decided to return to Middle-earth, Jackson told Deadline that although we saw some of Gollum’s backstory in the previous six movies, there’s still a lot of story to be told.

The season is upon us! Footmen in London’s greatest houses are buffing the silverware and arranging exotic fruit in ludicrous displays. Armies of cooks are carving likenesses of Queen Charlotte out of syllabub. Debutantes are being tonged, powdered and fragranced, ready to stand by the side of the ballroom like gorgeous hothouse flowers waiting to be plucked by an eligible lord. And orchestras are tuning up their violins to incongruously pump out Miley Cyrus tunes to get the Ton leaping. In short: it’s new Bridgerton time.
But one mustn’t step into the new season without doing ones homework. In Regency society, remember, knowledge is power. Find out if you’re a dullard or a diamond by taking our 20-question Bridgerton quiz. Queen Charlotte awaits your results!

The news broke yesterday that Andy Serkis will direct and star in The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum, a new movie which aims to bring the iconic franchise back to theaters.
Peter Jackson is producing the project, but if the premise sounds familiar, it's probably because a 2009 fan-made short film - also titled The Hunt for Gollum - has been racking up millions of views on YouTube for the past decade-and-a-half. Until earlier today, that is.
Directed by Chris Bouchard, the 39-minute film is mighty ambitious and received plenty of praise when it was released. Set during the opening act of The Fellowship of the Ring, the short elaborates on Aragorn's hunt for Gollum and is presumably the same story Warner Bros.' upcoming movie will tell.
Likely in response to fans and news outlets pointing out the similarities, the studio has hit the video with...

The legacy of the great writer J.R.R. Tolkien lives on, but not all of its manifestations are equally successful. After mixed (mostly negative and neutral) reviews of The Rings of Power, it became known that several projects in Tolkien's universe are being planned, but the project that currently attracts the most attention and hopes of fans is full-length anime – The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim.
What Will The Anime Be About?
The upcoming project tells the story of Helm Hammerhand and the defense of the fortress of Hornburg in Helm's Deep.
The events described above were precipitated by the murder of Freca, the ruler of the lands of the Dunlendings. At one of the councils, he asked for the hand of King Rohan's daughter for his son, to which Helm responded only with ridicule. Then Freca, enraged by the refusal, insulted the king and began to threaten him.

Bridgerton Season 3 is bringing Penelope (Nicola Coughlan) and Colin’s (Luke Newton) love story to life from Julia Quinn’s Romancing Mister Bridgerton. However, a key character from Polin’s book is not featured in the Netflix show at all: Felicity Featherington. Another Featherington sister?! Yes, there’s another one in the book series! Felicity is closest to Penelope within the Featherington family and the youngest sibling. She’s also a dear friend to Hyacinth Bridgerton. In the Netflix series, Penelope only has two siblings, Prudence (Bessie Carter) and Philippa (Harriet Cains). Showrunner Jess Brownell explains Felicity’s absence in the show to TV Insider. “I think [that] was a smart decision. I think that was a decision made by Chris Van Dusen and Shonda [Rhimes] early on in the pilot,” Brownell says. “It just gets hard to characterize three siblings, especially when the Featheringtons are in a secondary position. The main...

Geralt of Rivia’s story has an end date on Netflix.
On Thursday, the streaming service renewed The Witcher for Season 5, but revealed that it would be the last season.
The shocking announcement comes as production is finally getting underway on The Witcher Season 4 following countless setbacks.
“It is with huge pride that we begin shooting our penultimate Season of The Witcher with a stellar cast, including some exciting new additions, led by Liam Hemsworth as Geralt of Rivia,” showrunner Lauren Hissrich shared in a statement.
“We’re thrilled to be able to bring Andrzej Sapkowski’s books to an epic and satisfying conclusion. It wouldn’t be our show if we didn’t push our family of characters to their absolute limit — stay tuned to see how the story ends.”
Saying goodbye to the hit fantasy drama will be tough, but at least we have two seasons that will help soften the blow.

Netflix has officially begun production of The Witcher Season 4 and shared a sneak peek of the cast together from the recent table read. The streaming service has also given the green light to Season 5 of The Witcher, which will film back-to-back with Season 4 and will be the final chapter in Geralt’s story.
Seasons 4 and 5 will adapt the remaining Sapkowski books, Baptism of Fire, The Tower of the Swallow, and Lady of the Lake, promising an epic and satisfying conclusion to Netflix’s hit fantasy drama.
After the shocking, Continent-altering events that close out season three, the fourth season follows Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri, who are faced with traversing the war-ravaged Continent and its many demons apart from each other.
If they can embrace and lead the groups of misfits they find themselves in, they have a chance of surviving the baptism of fire and finding one another again.

We love Michelle Yeoh. From Police Story 3 to Everything Everywhere All At Once, she can really do it all. Netflix has released a teaser trailer for The Brothers Sun, a new action-packed family crime drama which stars Michelle Yeoh as the matriarch of a family who has left the world of Taiwan’s gangsters and crime behind.
“When the head of a powerful Taiwanese triad is shot by a mysterious assassin, his eldest son, legendary killer Charles ‘Chairleg’ Sun (Justin Chien) heads to Los Angeles to protect his mother, Eileen (Michelle Yeoh), and his naive younger brother, Bruce (Sam Song Li) — who’s been completely sheltered from the truth of his family until now,” reads the official synopsis. “But as Taipei’s deadliest societies and a new rising faction go head-to-head for dominance — Charles, Bruce and their mother must heal the wounds caused by their separation and figure out what...

Why does Reece's search for her sister have to be a secret? Does anyone understand this?
On Neighbours during the week of 11-06-23, Tess pushed Reece to go back to the States after Reece wouldn't insist Byron sign an NDA. And Paul took the gold in jumping to wrong conclusions after sneaking into Reece's room to find out what she was up to.
It felt like unnecessary drama.
Neighbours prides itself on being a series in which people talk to one another -- for the most part, anyway. Sometimes, people keep secrets for what they think are good reasons, leading to a mess.
In this case, though, the story seems to rely on my least favorite, most tired trope: drama from a misunderstanding that could quickly be resolved if people communicated.
Of course, Reece isn't obligated to share the truth with anyone who wants to know what she's up to.

Erinsborough's about to be turned upside down again.
Neighbours spoilers for the week of 11-06-23 promise reveals and returns as we gear up for some flashbacks to the missing years between the end of the original series and the beginning of the reboot.
Among other things, Nell goes missing, Paul plays with fire (again), and a familiar face returns to Erinsborough. Read on for spoilers and speculation!
At least one story will be resolved: whether Andrew is JJ's father.
After all the drama around this, it would be anticlimactic if it turned out that JJ and Andrew were nothing to each other. At least this is Erinsborough and not Salem, where DNA test switches happen regularly.
Regardless of which way the test goes, two families promise to be torn apart.
Remi's on the outs with Cara because Cara never told her there was a possibility of an Australian sperm donor after JJ was conceived,...

So, what is Gambon’s unique marriage situation with his wife and mistress, and how many kids does he have? Here’s what to know.
Who was Michael Gambon’s wife, Lady Anne Gambon? He also had a mistress, Philippa Hart
Michael Gambon married his wife, Lady Anne Gambon, in 1962. The actor was 22 years old at the time, and he kept his relationship quiet. The Witcher season 3 has finally concluded with an open-ended finale, leaving fans excited for more installments to come. However, in this season, we witnessed some of our beloved characters’ journeys reaching poignant conclusions, including the venerable rectoress of Aretuza and the mother-figure to Yennefer, Tissia De Vries. Tissia’s story began as that of an indomitable sorceress and a resolute teacher, instilling discipline and wisdom among her students. Throughout her life, Tissia wielded immense power and skill, proving herself to be one of the most capable sorceresses in the Brotherhood. Tissia De Vries had the potential to alter the Brotherhood’s destiny, but her emotions and attachments deceived her, leaving her vulnerable and causing her to lose the self-assurance she needed to live. While her initial path as a powerful sorceress and strict instructor seemed promising, her story eventually reached a tragic ending.

In the last episode of The Witcher season 3, part two, Geralt managed to survive the attack from Vilgefortz despite being badly injured. Yennefer tried to comfort Tissia, who was deeply traumatized by her lover’s betrayal. Meanwhile, after a massive explosion in Tor Lara, Ciri found herself in the dangerous desert of Korath. The place was full of monstrous creatures and chaotic magic, making every step she took perilous. During her journey, she encountered Falka, her ancestor, who encouraged her to embrace the magic of chaos. However, Ciri was scared of the potential consequences of using such power.

Spoiler Alert: This recap contains spoilers for “The Witcher” Season 3, Part 2, now streaming on Netflix.
“The Witcher” fans knew Season 3 would be bittersweet. It’s the final installment of the Netflix fantasy series before Henry Cavill, who has starred as famed monster hunter Geralt of Rivia since Season 1, is replaced by Liam Hemsworth in an unexpected shake-up.
Beginning in Season 4, Hemsworth will be donning Geralt’s swords, Witcher medallions and long, white locks, while the rest of the cast remains intact — except, of course, for those characters who died in Season 3, Part 2’s bloody battles.
Since the recasting was announced, fans have been wondering how the switch from Cavill to Hemsworth will happen. Would Hemsworth appear in the Season 3 finale? Would some kind of spell change Geralt’s Cavill-esque appearance into something more Hemsworth-ian? How would Geralt’s relationships with Yennefer (Anya Chalotra), Ciri (Freya Allen) and Jaskier (Joey Batey) be affected?...

There's always a grain of salt to be taken with any highly-anticipated release, and The Witcher Season 3 Part 2 is as salty as they come.
All of the most exciting moments in the Volume 2 trailer occur on The Witcher Season 3 Episode 6, which leads us to wonder what could the last two hours of the season offer.
With Ciri activating the Tor Lara monolith, Geralt in dire straits, and Yennefer mourning the destruction of her home and dealing with Tissaia's collapse, it'll take more than Chaos to reunite this family.
The conclave at Aretuza goes simultaneously as well and as terribly as anyone could have predicted.
The party, as seen on The Witcher Season 3 Episode 5, juxtaposes the opulence and hedonism of the mage culture with the intrigue of court life.
But, just as our heroes pat themselves on the back for revealing Stregobor for the hateful bigot and sadist he is, they...

In the previous installment of The Witcher season 3, Geralt of Rivia and Yennefer arrived at Aretuza to participate in the conclave, which would determine the fate of the continent. Before the conclave began, all the mages gathered at a party where Geralt and Yennefer remained vigilant, attempting to identify the culprit, Stregobor, whom they believed to be a powerful and malevolent mage responsible for all the heinous experiments on Ciri’s clone-making. Despite capturing Stregobor, they later discovered their mistake as they connected the missing puzzle pieces, revealing Vilgefortz to be the true culprit. Part 1 of The Witcher season 3 ended with Geralt emerging from his room, only to hear chaos erupting in the halls of Aretuza. However, he found himself held at knifepoint by Dijkstra. Part 2 of The Witcher season 3 began with an intense battle between different factions vying for control of Ciri and the destruction of Aretuza.

This post contains spoilers for Netflix's "The Witcher."
Andrzej Sapkowski's "Time of Contempt" — the second installment in his popular "The Witcher" novel series — throws the Continent into chaos from the get-go. With Nilfgaard trying to take over the rest of the Continent, Redania hatches their own plans to get the upper hand. However, unbeknownst to them, Nilfgaard is already one step ahead. These machinations culminate in the Conclave of the Mages right after the Thanedd Ball in Aretuza — a violent event in the history of the Continent that demolished the Brotherhood from within, which directly destabilized the power structures required to keep usurpers like Emperor Emhyr in check. Season 3 of "The Witcher" focuses exclusively on the Thanedd event and its disastrous aftermath, which tears Geralt (Henry Cavill), Yeneffer (Anya Chalotra), and Ciri (Freya Allan) apart once again.

Before heading into the The Witcher’s season three finale, let’s recap.
Over the course of this season’s first five episodes, Geralt (Henry Cavill), Yennefer (Anya Chalotra) and Ciri (Freya Allan) are on the run — from, well, basically everyone on the Continent — as the warring factions battle for claim to the land. The key to winning the fight? Ciri, herself.
Yennefer has taken Ciri to develop her magic at the academy of Aretuza, while Geralt hunts the evil and dangerous mage Rience, discovering some disturbing developments along the way. Part two leaves only three episodes to tie up the various storylines at play, not to mention that it will also mark star Cavill’s last time as the titular witcher, before Liam Hemsworth takes over the role of Geralt in Netflix’s season four.

Whichever way "The Witcher" (say that three times fast!) elects to send off Henry Cavill's Geralt of Rivia, Netflix's marketing team is certainly pulling out all the stops. The streamer has released a second and final trailer for season 3 volume 2 just a few days ahead of its arrival, complete with all the trimmings "Witcher" fans could ask for. There's even a line or two of dialogue that all but explicitly nods to Cavill's impending departure from the show. It's almost enough to give you a lump in your throat, in-between the clips of our treasured grouchy monster hunter dad going all stabbity-stabbity on his enemies.

In the fourth episode of The Witcher, Geralt and Ciri arrived safely at Aretuza, where Ciri opted to rest after a long and eventful day. Meanwhile, Geralt and Yennefer joined forces and devised a plan to infiltrate the Brotherhood’s headquarters. They suspected that Stregobor, an influential and elf-hating mage, might be the mastermind behind Rience’s evil actions. However, instead of confronting him directly, Yennefer decided it would be prudent to gather evidence against Stregobor. This way, the Brotherhood would have the necessary proof to apprehend him. In the climactic fifth episode of The Witcher Season 3, Volume 1, Geralt and Yennefer finally uncover the real face of evil driving the conflicts in Ciri’s life.

Oh, well done. With impressive restraint, The Witcher Season 3 Episode 5 feeds us a few puzzle pieces at a time until the picture emerges.
In between, Geralt and Yennefer canoodle like new lovers in the first throes of passion as they examine the evening in hindsight from different perspectives.
The repeated telling of the same few hours with new details added with each visit is a creative narrative technique that draws viewers in as they are compelled to match the information up to the established timeline, even as they seek an explanation for the change in Geralt and Yennefer's relationship.
Revealing Vilgefortz is the sorcerer with Rience on his leash only spawns more questions.
If Stregobor had been the villain, the motivations would be simple to identify. Stregobor's hatred of elves is well-documented, and he is unapologetic for his extreme specism.
But Vilgefortz has been more subtle in masking his intentions.

The various plot threads come together on The Witcher Season 3 Episode 4 to set us up for the Volume 1 finale.
While Ciri is protected by Yennefer's spell and effectively taken out of play, Jaskier and Radovid are finally honest with each other in the relative safety of the woods.
The real narrative tension centers on the conclave ball, where Philippa and Dijkstra have something in the works, and Geralt and Yennefer look to trap Stregobor for the disgusting old villain that he is.
Several story decisions here have contributed to a plodding sort of progress despite including elements of monster fighting and magical conflict.
For example, launching this penultimate offering with Yennefer pitching her unified North via conclave to the Council only to segue into party planning lacks a feeling of high adventure.
All of Yennefer's Aretuzan scenes share a mundanity mired in cautious but uncertain action.
With the Council, there...
