Flay is an indie horror film loosely based on the Slenderman character. Already released on Digital in 2019, Flay will now show on DVD, through Random Media this November. In the story, Moon (Elle Lamont) struggles with a death in her family, while an American Indian spirit haunts her. As well, this title was developed by Phame Factory, with Eric Pham (Red Planet) directing and Matthew Daley the central screenwriter. Violett Beane (Truth or Dare) and Dalton E. Gray also star in this film about a strange, spiritual character. The film's mythos revolves around cursed chains. Once touched, the curse transfers to the person and an Indian spirit hopes to trap their souls, while seeking revenge - for the curse. Part drama and part horror, Flay will be available November 18th, on DVD. Extras have not been announced. However, this title has a runtime of ninety-four minutes and will likely be released in an unrated format.

What if Alex Garland’s 2014 science-fiction favorite “Ex Machina” starred a real artificially intelligent robot as Ava instead of Alicia Vikander? Moviegoers are about to find out, sort of. Bondit Capital Media, Happy Moon Productions, and Ten Ten Global Media are putting forward $70 million to produce “b,” a science-fiction movie that is set to star the A.I. robot Erica in the leading role. The companies are touting “b” as the first movie in history to be led by an actor who is an A.I. robot.
“b” follows a scientist who must help the A.I. robot he created reach freedom after a program he designed to perfect human DNA has dangerous consequences. The A.I. robot Erica is starring as the A.I. robot character after her creators, Japanese scientists Hiroshi Ishiguro and Kohei Ogawa, taught her how to act by applying method acting principals to her artificial intelligence programming.

Flay
Stars: Elle Lamont, Violett Beane, A. Michael Baldwin, Kaylee King, Johnny Walter, Aaron Spivey-Sorrells, Dalton E. Gray, Emily Grace Dunn, Sarah Joy Byington, Noé de la Garza , Peggy Schott, Mike Dell | Written by Matthew Daley | Directed by Eric Pham
Name: Flay
Age: 2019
Appearance: CGI-laden ghostly horror, featuring a Slenderman entity, a haunted painting, a cursed chain, teenage angst drama and a cameo from A. Michael Baldwin, aka “Mike” out of Phantasm.
Not another Slenderman film?
With his faceless stare and fine suit, it looks like Slenderman but it’s actually the ghost of a murdered American Indian who went by the name of Flay.
So, why does he wear a suit and tie?
The film opens with a prologue set in the 1800s showing Flay refusing to wear western clothing and is tortured to death by having his face skinned whilst being chained.
Hence the cursed chains!
Yes!
And the faceless man!

An independent production company that successfully sued Sony over their attempts to stop their movie from being released has not only won the case but set a release date for the title.
Flay, originally due for release in 2017, tells of a young woman who goes up against a malevolent faceless spirit. Sony claimed Phame Factory’s film was a rip-off of the Slender Man legend, which the studio believed they had exclusive rights to. As a result of the messy legal tangle, writer and producer Eric Pham opted not to release the film until he met the studio in court.
Sony, whose Slender Man movie was coming up for release, argued that Phame Factory’s Flay character was too similar to Slender Man. Phame Factory claimed its promotion, distribution and advertisement of Flay didn’t infringe Sony’s trademarks and copyrights and the lawsuit was wrapped two weeks ago. Says...

Exclusive: Flay, the feature film that Sony claimed was a rip off of its own Slender Man, is set to finally be released after independent production company Phame Factory and the Hollywood studio resolved their differences.
Last year, Sony served the indie with a cease-and-desist order to stop the release of Flay as it claimed that it was a rip-off of the Slender Man character, which it had the exclusive rights to.
However, Phame Factory filed a lawsuit in July seeking a judgement that its promotion and distribution of Flay didn’t infringe Sony’s copyrights. It has now won the right to release the film and has reached an agreement with Sony, albeit with a disclaimer on advertising materials, trailers and the movie itself.
The film, which is written and produced by Eric Pham, tells the story of a young woman who goes up against a malevolent faceless spirit.
