Titles cap the most powerful Blood Window lineup in its history, galvanised by new sections Fant.Latina, focusing on Latin American women genre directors, and Spanish Screamings, a selection of projects from Spain, whose genre auteur scene exploded into life around the turn of the century with Jaume Balagueró’s “The Nameless.” This mega offer coms as genre, despite challenges for theatrical distribution in many markets, is proving ever more a go-to choice for young filmmakers and international distributors.

The Michelle Dockery-led “Good Behavior” has been canceled by TNT after a two-season run, an individual with knowledge of the production told TheWrap Tuesday.
The drama — based on a novella series written by Blake Crouch — starred Dockery as con artist Letty Raines, who becomes involved with hitman Javier Pereira (Juan Diego Botto).
“Good Behavior” premiered Nov. 15, 2016 on TNT. The “Good Behavior”s second — and now final — season wrapped in December 2017.

Executive producer Chad Hodge announced the cancellation news via Instagram Tuesday, writing alongside a photo of Dockery and Botto: “With a heavy heart I have to let you know that Good Behavior will not return for a third season on TNT. I’ve always said I could write about Letty and Javier for 500 episodes. Their relationship and place in the world live on the edge of something unique...

It’s over — despite efforts to give Good Behavior a proper conclusion, there will be no third installment of the TNT series. The cancellation was just announced on Instagram by creator/executive producer Chad Hodge who also included a scene from the would-be third season.
“With a heavy heart I have to let you know that Good Behavior will not return for a third season on TNT,” he wrote.
Despite solid reviews and a popular star, Michelle Dockery in her follow-up to hit Downton Abbey, Good Behavior never found a wide audience. Its Live+same day ratings were low, a fraction of the second lowest-rated original drama series on the network.
Still, the show did strong business in delayed viewing and on digital platforms, drawing younger viewers, and became a cult favorite. “It has a passionate audience,” TNT and TBS president Kevin Reilly told Deadline in May.

Okay, can you say dysfunctional? Well, if you are into drama immersed in dark comedy, then you will absolutely love Good Behavior, which is an oxymoron in this instance if there ever was one. Allow me to introduce you to the basics. Let’s see, female con-artists, Letty (Played by Michelle Dockery, meets hitman Javier Pereira (Played by Juan Diego Botto) and they both attempt to go straight for the sake of, get this, getting custody of Letty’s son — who she lost custody of by going to prison. The show gets its name based on the fact that Letty is

For everything that’s going on in the “Good Behavior” pilot — and there’s a lot — TNT’s new hour-long drama comes down to a question of morality. Posited by Letty Raines (Michelle Dockery) to her parole officer as a telling hypothetical, the query asks if you saw someone stranded on the side of the road, would you stop to help them? Though there are a lot of factors to consider (including your trust in humanity and how directly that connects to your physical prowess), Chad Hodge and Blake Crouch’s adaptation of the latter’s novels asks you to put a lot of faith in someone who answers, “Yes” — no matter what they actually do after offering assistance.
One could rationalize such blind acceptance is implied in the title. “Good Behavior” tracks Letty after her release from prison, as the con artist and thief tries to stay straight despite...

The Transilvania International Film Festival’s (Tiff) main prize went this year to Spanish film-maker Rodrigo Sorogoyen’s Stockholm as the week-long festival came to a close on June 8.
The second feature also picked up the Best Performance Award for leads Javier Pereira and Aura Garrido at the gala awards ceremony on Saturday evening (7).
Almost lost for words as he accepted the prize on the stage of Cluj’s National Theatre, an elated Sorogoyen (pictured) said that these were the film’s first international awards.
Stockholm previously earned best actress and new screenwriter honours in Malaga last year and a Goya this year for Pereira.
Tiff’s international jury including Chicago Film Festival director Michael Kutza, Nfts director Nik Powell and Hungarian film-maker Janos Szasz, presented their Best Directing Award to Poland’s Tomasz Wasilewski for his second feature Floating Skyscrapers and the Special Jury Award to Bulgaria’s Maya Vitkova for her debut Viktoria, which had its...
