Enver Gjokaj was my favorite part of Dollhouse. The scene where his personality gets flipped for a slutty teenage girl in the nightclub is one of the greatest scenes in television. So I’m thrilled that he’s taken on a recurring role on Witches of East End as a novelist.
This is why you never eat random “food” you find on the floor of a television studio.
Do we have to all be coupled up? Why do people think we need a partner to be complete, because I’m with this guy.
Congratulations to two time gold medalist soccer stars Abby Wambach and Sarah Huffman, who got married this weekend in Hawaii.
Billy Magnussen is coming back to television as the wealthy, driven middle son on HBO’s pilot Money.

X-Men producer John Palermo is in hot water after making several shocking racist comments on his Facebook (which has since been taken down). Palermo, who's known for working as Hugh Jackman's producing partner, called out celebs like Kanye West, Julie Chen and Anderson Cooper on his page last month in a racist rant. Referencing Chen's plastic surgery shocker on The Talk, Palermo wrote on Sept. 12 (via THR), "I'm crazy about Julie Chen!!! Now that her eyes are finally open, she should leave [husband] Monster Moonves." The same day, he took on news that Kim Kardashian and West had bought a Bel-Air mansion, posting, "There goes the neighborhood!!! It looks like a Poor Persian Palace,...

This story first appeared in the Oct. 18 issue of The Hollywood Reporter magazine. It was a train wreck while it lasted. Hugh Jackman's former producing partner John Palermo (X-Men Origins: Wolverine) has taken down his incendiary Facebook page, which had Hollywood buzzing about its plentiful racist comments. "I'm crazy about Julie Chen!!!" he wrote Sept. 12 after the Big Brother host discussed her early career eye surgery. "Now that her eyes are finally open, she should leave Monster Moonves." James Mangold’s The Wolverine has been long been on our radar as one of the most promising film’s of the year. The Japan-set blockbuster sees Hugh Jackman return to the character for which we all know and love him, and with the film promising to be that much better than Origins, things are definitely looking good.
With its release date very close on the horizon, easily earning a top spot as one of our most anticipated movies of the month, a great new featurette has debuted over on digitalspy, rather brilliantly titled, ‘A Ronin’s Story’. And coming alongside it are six great new character images from IGN.

Of the many blockbusters coming our way this summer, James Mangold’s The Wolverine is definitely one of the few I’m looking forward to most.
I have so much love for Hugh Jackman’s take on the character, and can’t wait to see him front and centre in the film next month, reprising the iconic character. Jackman is to Logan what Robert Downey, Jr. is to Tony Stark.
The latest trailer landed last month, giving us a great new look at the film. And now a new international trailer has surfaced online, via Cbm, along with Fox releasing the first TV spot for our shores.

Every once in a while, a film comes along and knocks it out the park with a brilliant marketing campaign that really goes the extra mile. James Mangold’s The Wolverine has definitely been one of those films, and a pretty big part of that is down to the awesome ink posters that we’ve been seeing.
The first poster came a while back, featuring the titular character himself, and was more recently followed by a Silver Samurai teaser poster. And now Fox have released a further two ink posters, giving us a great look at Viper and Yukio, going alongside the latest trailer that hit this week.

The Wolverine is one of the most anticipated films of the year. The summer blockbuster sees Hugh Jackman reprising one of his best-known roles, and with less than three months to go before it hits the big screen, the anticipation is running on high.
We saw an epic first teaser trailer earlier in the year, which was more recently followed by a look at the CinemaCon footage that was screened at this year’s convention. And as if things couldn’t get any sweeter, we’ve now got an awesome new trailer for the blockbuster to share.

With The Wolverine hitting theatres this summer, and X-Men: Days of Future Past arriving a year later, things are definitely looking good for the fans of Marvel’s mutant franchise.

We were recently treated to the awesome new trailer showcased at this year’s CinemaCon. And following shortly after came a great new teaser poster, giving us another glimpse at Silver Samurai.
And now director James Mangold has taken to Twitter once more to share a handful of new set photos. And with them comes the news that he’s coming close to completing the film in its entirety:
We are in the home stretch as we begin recording the score and mixing the film this week.

James Mangold’s highly anticipated The Wolverine enters a hugely successful franchise for Fox this summer, marking the latest entry in the X-Men movies that began so brilliantly back in 2000 with Bryan Singer’s X-Men.
After catching an awesome new trailer for the film last week, showing us the footage previewed to conventiongoers at CinemaCon, Mangold has revealed a brilliant new teaser poster on Twitter.
As we are beginning to offer glimpses of Silver Samurai, here’s a new great one sheet image for #thewolverine pic.twitter.com/iP9BDu1rWJ
Similar in style to that epic first teaser poster (which the studio have reportedly been having trouble with in the Us, because people keep stealing them from bus shelters), this latest one sheet gives us a look instead at Silver Samurai.

The first trailer for The Wolverine is debuting tomorrow, and we can’t wait to see it in full when it lands. Yesterday brought with it a brilliant first sneak peek at the teaser, along with an awesome first theatrical poster. And, as promised, we’ve got an extended version of the sneak peek ahead of tomorrow’s trailer debut.
James Mangold has taken the helm for this summer’s blockbuster, with Hugh Jackman naturally reprising his role as Logan / Wolverine. It’s been on my must-watch list ever since the film was first announced, and I can’t wait for its release date to finally roll around.

After catching the epic first theatrical poster for The Wolverine this morning, a new alternate poster and a set of eight awesome images have debuted online.
The Wolverine’s first teaser trailer is dropping this Wednesday, and we can’t wait to see what director James Mangold has brought to the table here.
Hugh Jackman’s return as Logan / Wolverine has been long overdue, and this latest entry in the X-Men movie franchise can’t come fast enough. Especially with Bryan Singer’s X-Men: Days of Future Past not far off on the horizon, either. Though they may be unrelated, in terms of plot, we get to see Wolverine return for both of them, and that can only be good news.

James Mangold’s The Wolverine is one of this year’s summer blockbusters I’m most looking forward to.
Hugh Jackman of course returns to the fold as the eponymous Logan / Wolverine, and we’re expecting the first trailer to drop this month, pretty much any day now. So far, all we’ve seen are a handful of images, along with a brilliant teaser poster and motion poster.
And now Mangold has taken to Twitter to share a few actor portraits, giving us three black and white images of Hugh Jackman, Rila Fukushima, and Tao Okamoto, taken on the last day of The Wolverine’s production.

Hitting us in the height of the summer, The Wolverine is one of the last big blockbusters of the season to get its promotional campaign underway. We had a brilliant teaser poster late last year, when Hugh Jackman and director James Mangold hosted a live Q&A. And that was followed by an awesome motion poster in time for Christmas.
But as we eagerly await the first trailer’s debut, which is expected to land next month, we can enjoy the occasional official images that surface. The latest of Jackman to emerge comes courtesy of the film’s Facebook, and with it comes a shot of him on set from Mangold’s Twitter:

How many producers does it take to make a Wolverine movie? Well, we’re up to three, as Deadline reports that Hutch Parker, who helped develop the original X-Men films with Fox. He joins Lauren Shuler Donner and John Palermo in the effort to bring Hugh Jackman’s iconic character the big screen once again.
The movie is set for a July 26th, 2013 release (one I’m not confident about), and has already seen a directorial switch (Darren Aronofsky switched due to scheduling conflicts, which broke many a fanboy’s heart, including my own) and a slew of other problems. At least we have some forward momentum (that’s how I choose to view this). James Mangold (Walk The Line, Identity, 3:10 To Yuma) is at the helm, and other than bringing back Hugh Jackman and putting Wolverine in Japan, we don’t know a lot about the film. More to come,...

With production marred by delays and changes in the director's chair, Hugh Jackman's second solo outing as Wolverine might have looked like it would never claw its way into cinemas.
Filming is set to start in August and giving more weight to that possibility is the news, via Deadline, that 20th Century Fox has brought in Hutch Parker as a producer.
Having an X-tensive background with the franchise, Parker oversaw the original films while previously working at Fox. He's now returning to the studio after exiting as New Regency co-chairman.
This hiring of the series veteran, who joins producers Lauren Shuler Donner and John Palermo on the mutant adventure, will hopefully solidify its completion and prevent further complications as Jackman and director James Mangold (3:10 to Yuma, Knight and Day) press forward on the project.

Exclusive: Hutch Parker, who exited New Regency and into a producing deal at his longtime home at Fox, is becoming a producer on The Wolverine, joining Lauren Shuler Donner and John Palermo on the James Mangold-directed film that will have Hugh Jackman reprise his role as the title character he originated in the X-Men franchise. Parker is very steeped in X-Men lore, as he developed and oversaw the original movies when he ran production at Fox. Among other projects he is working on at the studio is The Life List, the debut novel by Lori Nelson Spielman that Ballantine Books will publish next year. Fox 2000 optioned the book and Parker will produce via his Hutch Parker Entertainment banner...

Jackman has since moved on and Lima is no longer involved either. Wahlberg is set to produce the film with partner Stephen Levinson, as well as Krasnoff Foster.s Gary Foster and John Palermo. Michael McCullers will write a new draft of the script written by Kevin Bisch. The story follows men laid off from an auto dealership. One is reluctantly recruited into becoming an Avon salesman, and while the experience is initially emasculating, he uses his charm and good looks to become a top seller. The car salesman sets out to save his financially strapped family and town by conscripting his buddies into the...

Back in August of 2010, Hugh Jackman was forced to drop out of the comedy Avon Man because of his commitments to The Wolverine, the sequel to X-Men Origins: Wolverine. As you may have noticed, however, The Wolverine still hasn't been made and Avon Man is still in development. So here's the funny part: on the same day that it's announced where The Wolverine will be shooting this summer (Sydney, Australia), it's been revealed by Deadline that Avon Man has a brand new producer and possible star. According to the site, Mark Wahlberg and Krasnoff Foster.s Gary Foster and John Palermo have all signed on to produce the upcoming comedy, and it's currently being considered as a potential starring vehicle for Wahlberg as well. Originally written by Kevin Bisch (Michael McCullers has been brought on to do a new draft), the story is about a car dealer who is fired...

Lima is no longer involved. Michael McCullers will come aboard and write a new draft of a script originated by Kevin Bisch. Money talks and it obviously has in the case of The Wolverine: a one-off payment of $12.8 million from the Gillard Government, the Federal Government.s location offset, a direct incentive from the Nsw Government, and Nsw payroll tax relief all helped secure the sixth film in the X-Men science fiction franchise for Australia.
The Nsw Government isn.t saying how much cash its putting in but all these incentives have obviously exceeded the negative effect of the strong Australian dollar, which is causing most Hollywood blockbusters to stay clear of Australia.
It is highly unusual for the Federal Government to make one-off payments outside the official incentives: in a media release jointly issued by Prime Minister Julia Gillard and Arts Minister Simon Crean it was stated that it is equivalent to an increase in the existing location offset to 30 per cent. Whether this is a positive sign that the...

Ryan Murphy – the man behind TV’s Glee and American Horror Story – is returning to horror with plans to pen a new sci-fi project that is being set up at Sony Pictures, to be co-written by Brian Miller.
For those of you who sat through 2010′s Eat, Pray, Love, you know just how horrifying a Murphy chiller can be. With Miller having written last year’s found footage shocker Apollo 18, the untitled project – for which details are firmly under wraps – will follow Murphy’s next scheduled release, an adaptation of Larry Kramer’s AIDS centric play, The Normal Heart.
Should anyone still have reservations for the film’s potential, the news that it is to be co-produced by Drive’s John Palermo (alongside Murphy) goes some way to readdressing the project’s cool quotient.
Variety had this one first.

Okay, here's an odd pairing. On one side we have the man who helped make glee clubs once again a part of our pop culture while ushering in the antichrist, and on the other is the dude responsible for penning a flick built entirely around a plot hole.
According to Variety Apollo 18 scribe Brian Miller and Ryan Murphy, the co-creator of "American Horror Story" and "Glee," are set to pen an untitled sci-fi/horror movie for Sony Pictures. Murphy will produce with John Palermo (Drive), and story details remain under wraps.
Talk about an unlikely and strange pairing. You know? This may just work. We'll keep an eye on things for ya. Keep it locked right here for more as it comes.

American Horror Story creator Ryan Murphy has joined forces with Apollo 18 scribe Brian Miller on a feature film. Variety (via The Film Stage) reports that the duo will write a sci-fi horror feature for Sony. The project will be produced by Murphy and Drive producer John Palermo. At this time there are very few details about the project, but we will keep you updated as news becomes available.
Even though Murphy is responsible for Glee and Apollo 18 did not fare well, I have hope for this project. I was a fan of Murphy since he did Nip/Tuck, and I love American Horror Story. Let's hope that this will be a good movie that horror fans can enjoy! What are your thoughts?

I never thought that a 24-hour period would bring two headlines bearing the name of TV mainstay Ryan Murphy, but that’s just the kind of week it is. As Variety informs us, the co-creator of Glee and American Horror Story will — along with Apollo 18 scribe Brian Miller — write a sci-fi horror feature for Sony. Along with making contributions to the page, Murphy and Drive producer John Palermo will be (what else?) producing for the studio; nothing regarding a potential director or cast has been mentioned.
So, what’s it about?
“[S]tory details remain under wraps.”
I think I just told the entire story in the headline, then. But if you want my opinion (no need to respond), allow me to say that when you combine the guy behind Apollo 18 and one of the men responsible for Glee, the results could be… problematic. You probably didn’t need me to tell you that,...
