This story about Phil Dunster and “Ted Lasso” first appeared in the Comedy Series issue of TheWrap’s awards magazine.
Ask “Ted Lasso” fans to name their favorite storyline of the surprisingly super-sized Season 3 and you’ll likely get a unanimous answer: the burgeoning bromance between Roy Kent (Brett Goldstein) and Jamie Tartt (Phil Dunster). The relationship would have been unimaginable in Season 1, when the two alpha males openly despised each other. But the bad blood was wiped clean by Jamie’s transformation from AFC Richmond bad boy to team sweetheart.

Jonah Hill is a dad! The 39-year-old actor and Olivia Millar, whom he was first linked to last summer, welcomed their first child, his rep confirmed to People. Et has reached out for comment.
Hill and Millar never announced their baby on the way, but reports to that effect surfaced in March when Daily Mail published pics of Millar with what appeared to be a baby bump.
Millar, the daughter of famed model Esmé Marshall, also sparked engagement rumours at the time, but neither Hill nor Millar has confirmed as much.
Before his relationship with Millar, who owns an online clothing store, Hill was engaged to Gianna Santos. The pair called it quits in 2020 after two years together.
Hill, who largely keeps his personal life private, was next romantically linked to environmental activist Sarah Brady, though he denied that they were engaged in February 2022.

Ashley McBryde flipped the script for her new album The Devil I Know. Set for release on Sept. 8, the newly announced record was created with the singer keeping in mind all of the loud opinions being tossed at her — but only so she knew which ones to completely ignore.
“‘Y’all are too country.’ We leaned into that – more country it is,” McBryde shared in a statement. “‘Y’all are awfully rock leaning for a country artist.’ Is that so? You ain’t seen nothin’ yet. ‘Last thing y’all need is another tender,...

“Goodbye’s Kickin’ In” is the groovier, funkier side of Brothers Osborne, featuring an insistent bass pulse, a four-on-the-floor beat, and some guitar work from John Osborne that’s got shades of Lindsey Buckingham. “Heard that song a hundred times/Ninety-nine I didn’t mind/This time it just set me off,” Tj Osborne sings,...

The Tonight Show set doubled as a church-turned-strip club during Ashley McBryde’s appearance on the show last night. The country musician performed “Gospel Night at the Strip Club” alongside John Osborne, who produced McBryde’s latest album and stands in for the track’s original featured artist, Benjy Davis.
The hook, which promises “Jesus loves the drunkards and the whores and the queers,” is the only fully sung part of the song, turned into a choir-like performance with the help of three background vocalists (representing characters in the song), and McBryde in the lead.

Katy Perry and Thomas Rhett brought down the house at the 56th Annual CMA Awards. Making her CMA Awards debut, Perry teamed up with Thomas Rhett to perform their pop-country collaboration, “Where We Started”, at Wednesday night’s star-studded show.
Perry was dressed in a long denim dress and a signature black cowboy hat for the performance, while Thomas Rhett opted for a sleek leather jacket.
The moving melody of “Where We Started” had the crowd on their feet and in their feelings as they grooved along to the sweet song.
The pair’s performance comes just weeks after they released the music video for the hit song. The ethereal visual sees the pair singing to each other after an intense walk through sheets forces them to meet.
In April, Thomas Rhett dished to Et about the collaboration and how it came to be.

One of the most anticipated honors to be handed out Sunday at the 75th annual Tony Awards is Angela Lansbury’s Lifetime Achievement Award. The big question is: Why did it take so long?
Now 96, the beloved Lansbury has won five competitive Tony and was nominated for two more. She’s also one of the leading interpreters of the work of composers Stephen Sondheim and Jerry Herman. Her Broadway career is best described with the lyric from Herman’s 1966 musical “Mame: “You came, you saw, your conquered and absolutely nothing is the same…we think you’re just sensational!”
In fact, she’s been sensational since making her film debut at 18 in 1944’s “Gaslight,” received her first of three Oscar nominations — she earned an Honorary Oscar in 2013 — and starred for 12 seasons as mystery writer Jessica Fletcher on ‘Murder, She Wrote.” And she brought her musical talents to movie and TV...
