Exclusive: We hear that Wyatt Lindner has been cast in Chris Weitz’s horror title They Listen.
He joins previously announced John Cho, Katherine Waterstone, Greg Hill, Riki Lindhome, Lukita Maxwell, Keith Carradine, Havana Rose Liu and Ben Youcef in the Depth of Field production.
Lindner grew up in Austin, where he booked his first commercial at age 4. He made the transition to theatrical projects at 10 when he began auditioning for television and feature films and booked several projects within a year. He landed his first role on the Apple TV+ anthology series Little America, produced by Kumail Nanjiani and inspired by true stories of immigrants in America. I love a good slasher movie just as much as the next horror fan. The sub-genre is so hit-and-miss these days. For every Cold Prey or Laid to Rest, we're given 10 more entries that leave you feeling mentally drained by the time the credits roll on them. Anchor Bay Entertainment's Escapee is just lucky enough to fall right in the middle of good and bad in the realm of watchable mediocrity.
Psychology student Abby Jones (Christine Evangelista) makes the mistake of locking eyes with a murderous patient named Harmon (Dominic Purcell) while on a class trip to the local mental institute. Unfortunately, Abby resembles Harmon's girlfriend that he brutally butchered. He escapes from the hospital and heads out in search of Abby, leaving a trail of dead bodies in his wake.
Director / writer Campion Murphy put together the right ingredients for Escapee. The problem is the formula he concocts is overused.

I always hate when a press release is vague as I never know if we should be covering the film. It was announced today that production has started on the psychological thriller Escapee from Hollywood Media Bridge and Tall Tales Entertainment in association with Voltage Pictures and Nantucket Productions. Sounding like it could be quite violent, Dominic Purcell from "Prison Break" stars as a psychotic criminal who escapes from a secure hospital and embarks on a murderous spree in search of a specific female target, played by Christine Evangelista. Campion Murphy wrote and is directing. The story is based on events that took place in one of the producers hometown of Alexandria, Louisiana, and also stars Melissa Ordway, Carly Chaikin and Scott Michael Elrod.
