Speaks three languages. German, ASL (American Sign Language), and
English.
Michael and his wife Jaime have three children. Dylan Tyler, born April 2, 2002, Ella Michael, born December 18, 2007 and Truman Rudolf, whom they welcomed November 4, 2012.
Michael is a card-carrying member of MENSA.
Michael won the state championship for his One-Act play performance at
age 16 while attending Trinity High School.
Screen-tested, twice, for the role of J.D. on Scrubs and was told by the studio president that he would be perfect for the role, but was too handsome to play the goof ball role of "J.D.". The part eventually went to Zach Braff.
