Characters from Twenty Twelve and W1A will reportedly return in a spin-off centred around FIFA. Here are the details.
Sarah Parish, who played Anna Rampton in the original comedy series W1A, has revealed on That Gaby Roslin Podcast that a spin-off show based on the FIFA international football association. was in the works. She also revealed that W1A co-star Hugh Bonneville would be reprising his role.
Though Parish said the show was being written according to the British Comedy Guide, she said she would not be in it, but that she suspected Hynes would return. There has been no official confirmation from the BBC, but it would fit with the previous series precedent of writing a comedy about a real forthcoming event, in this case the FIFA World Cup in 2026.

What’s cheering about this lot, apart from the fact that as comedies, they should all technically cheer us up, is how different they are. There’s the surreal chaos of Year of the Rabbit, and the sweet warmth of Lovesick, the Pythonesque bonkersness of Yonderland, the satirical might of The Thick of It and much more. “Call My Agent” U.K. — launched locally as “Ten Percent” — will not return for a second season, Variety can confirm.
The re-make of the hit French comedy, which starred Jack Davenport, Lydia Leonard, Prasanna Puwanarajah and Maggie Steed, launched on Amazon Prime Video in the U.K. in April 2022 to high hopes. In the U.S. it premiered on Sundance Now and AMC+.
The original series, titled “Dix Pour Cent” (“Ten Percent”) in France, was a sleeper hit, spawning four seasons and turning its cast, including Camille Cottin and Assaad Bouab, into international stars. Cottin will next be seen in Kenneth Branagh’s “A Haunting in Venice” and Guy Nattiv’s “Golda,” while Bouab recently had roles in “Inventing Anna” and “Bad Sisters.”

John Ratzenberger's acting career is riddled with the kind of trivia-fodder that would delight his "Cheers" character, Cliff Clavin. Aside from his sitcom stardom, the actor is best known as Pixar's good-luck charm (he appears in the animation studio's first 23 features) and, pre-"Cheers," as a master of the blink-and-miss-it walk-on role. Settle in to watch films as disparate as Richard Donner's "Superman," Kevin Connor's "Motel Hell," or Warren Beatty's "Reds," and you'll spy Ratzenberg at some point.
With his amusingly bushy mustache and awkward bearing, Ratzenberger was never going to be a leading man. He's a born character actor, and could've very well been a member of the "that guy" all-stars with Dick Miller, Stephen Tobolowsky, and James Rebhorn, had he not found television immortality as everyone's favorite know-some-of-it-all mail carrier. In season one, Viscount Bridgerton was less hero than impediment. The eldest Bridgerton son, he assumed responsibility for the matches of his younger siblings Daphne and Colin, and spent the season throwing his weight around – sometimes literally in the case of the punch-up and dual with Daphne’s suitor Simon. Anthony attempted to control everybody else’s marriage responsibilities while refusing to face up to his own. His mistress Siena Rosso eventually made the decision for him, recognising that an opera singer with her past would never be found respectable enough to become a society Viscountess. Siena moved on, and urged Anthony to do the same.
In season two, Anthony’s search for a wife is centre-stage, making actor Jonathan the romantic lead. It’s not the first time the actor has told a love story in his established stage and screen career, which started in his childhood with the Royal Shakespeare Company,...

"Awaken your magic!" Yay! One of the best animated films from last year is now playing in cinemas again. GKids has re-released Tomm Moore & Ross Stewart's magical adventure Wolfwalkers in select theaters in the US, with more venues playing it nationwide coming up this weekend. A young apprentice hunter and her father journey to Ireland to help wipe out the last wolf pack. But everything changes when she befriends a free-spirited girl from a mysterious tribe rumored to transform into wolves by night. Featuring the voices of Honor Kneafsey, Eva Whitaker, Sean Bean, Simon McBurney, Tommy Tiernan, Jon Kenny, John Morton, and Maria Doyle Kennedy. I totally adore this film, along with everything else Tomm Moore has made! I'm happy it's playing again after first opening in the fall. As wonderful as this film is, it's even better on the big screen! If you can safely get to a...

“Wolfwalkers” directors Tomm Moore and Ross Stewart didn’t conceive of the idea for their animated, Irish folklore parable until 2013 as they were finishing their previous film “Song of the Sea.” But even though the film is set in Medieval times, the history has only become more prescient.
“Wolfwalkers” comes from the animation team at Cartoon Saloon, which developed both “Song of the Sea” and “The Secret of Kells,” both Oscar-nominated films about Irish folklore. Their latest completes a trilogy of sorts, but the directors told TheWrap that it stands alone in how it speaks to the problems of today.

How much would you pay for the chance to get an autograph from your childhood idol? For attendees at Anaheim's Star Wars Celebration, that's not an abstract question. Today, at Walt Disney's Q2 Fiscal 2014 Earnings Conference Call, CEO Bob Iger announced the studio has plans for "at least three" Star Wars films outside the upcoming new trilogy, which will begin with the J.J. Abrams-directed Star Wars: Episode VII. Given the December 18, 2015 release plans for Episode VII, speculation is these films will alternate years with the new trilogy, which would place them in 2016, '17 and '18. We've known before these one-off, origin story films would be coming out, but until now it was thought to be only two with reports they would focus on characters such as a young Han Solo, Boba Fett or Yoda. Iger didn't confirms which of the characters the features would focus on, but we do know Episode VII co-wrtier Lawrence Kasdan and Simon Kinberg are working on developing the screenplays. "Star Wars" film titles seem to follow a pattern. In the previous two trilogies, the first chapter was a three word title (The Phantom Menace, A New Hope) that hints at an overall theme.
Today, AICN has revealed the rumored official 'working title' for J.J. Abrams' "Star Wars: Episode VII". That title? "The Ancient Fear".
The title is said to be in reference to Max von Sydow's character, a villain, although it's not known if his character is a Sith.
The source itself was the same one who revealed that filming would take place in Abu Dhabi. AICN contacted Abrams and haven't received either a confirmation or denial.
