And sometimes, they suffer in silence. Suffer, Little Children was a Holy Grail for collectors of ultra-low budget oddities; shot on video for a song with a troupe borrowed from a local British acting studio, the film used its own trumped-up mythology as an “almost” video nasty to move some tapes in a golden age when it was fairly easy to do. Alas, they didn’t, and Suffer became a black market curiosity. Enter Intervision, who once again drag the waters to revive a long-lost film, restored to pristine grime on DVD.
Taking place at a children’s group home in London, Suffer’s story begins when young Elizabeth arrives on the doorstep with a note saying she’d be better off there. Elizabeth is also mute, which soon gives way to much scowling and glaring on her part. We soon learn that Elizabeth is possessed by the Devil himself,...

Rival executives have been predicting the downfall of Fox News for years, but the network’s demise has yet to pass. They’re back at it again, but the Roger Ailes sexual harassment scandal does make things a little different this time around. CNN Worldwide president Jeff Zucker was featured in a splashy magazine cover story coinciding with Tuesday’s ratings news that CNN won primetime during the month of July among the key demo of adults age 25-54. Zucker is notoriously careful with his words, but his boss … not so much. Turner Broadcasting CEO John Martin was quoted as saying,...

When Kristina Taylor learned that her 5-year-old son Camden has only months to live, she resolved to fill his remaining time with as much joy as possible. "It's horrible, absolutely horrible of a feeling to know that one day you are going to bury your child and that you have limited time," Kristina told WHAS11. "It means the world - every day - that I can get a smile on his face and make him the happiest child that I can make him." Camden has stage four brain cancer. After brain surgery and six rounds of chemotherapy, Camden's cancer stopped responding to treatment in January.

If you want to be one of the first to hear brand new music from the world’s hottest DJs, you go to Ultra Music Festival. Each and every year, artists bring their latest and greatest to the fest and premiere tracks that have never been heard before.
This year was no different, especially in the case of superstar Martin Garrix, who brought with him no less than 10 brand new songs. It’s a risky move bringing that much new music to a festival set, especially when so many of the tracks sounded quite different than what we’re used to from the Dutch producer, but Garrix pulled it off with aplomb.
In what was a historic set for Ultra, given that the producer is the youngest person ever to close the main stage on opening night, Garrix unleashed an arsenal of new music, all of it showcasing a unique...

I am Bob Eggleton multi-Hugo Award winning artist (Forry won the first one many years ago so there is a lineage), and recently a Rondo Award winner (for FM covers) who has been in the Sf/Fantasy field for over 30 years. I do lots of things: my own ideas, bookcovers, comics, and I have worked as a movie concept artist on several animated films and, I’m a huge Godzilla and Classic Monster fan.
What mediums are you most fond of working with?
I play with all media. Oils are really nice with painting, though I work in acrylics and, my most basic but favored medium is the pencil. I love pencil.
What inspires you the most?
Many things. Nature, dinosaurs, space….classical artists work, like what you see in a museum.
What/who is your favorite artwork/artist?

Spinnin’ Records is hugely influential in the Edm scene, so it’s always interesting to see what the record label is cooking up. The Netherlands-based company had an incredible year in 2014, giving us tracks like “Revolution,” “Samurai (Go Hard),” “Raveology,” “We Like To Party,” “Turn Up The Speakers,” “Last All Night (Koala),” and so many more.
Now, the label is giving us a look at what their future holds with an epic 2015 mix that shows off a whole bunch of new, unreleased music. And we thought that this was a Vice dinner, in the city that gave the word its vim and vigor. But this was, lest we forget, the Munchies party, and at the farm table, plated for 60 on the patio of the Mondrian South Beach, the Vice uniform was in full force: beards, black, and a touch of blasé. There was Arthur Baker, Daniel Arsham, and Manish Vora. Even Munchies producer John Martin joked that looking at food all day can be a rather painful job. The dinner was a labor of love from Carlo Mirarchi, chef of beloved Bushwick outpost Roberta’s. Except every time we went for a helping, there was either none left or we saw the food untouched on another guest’s plate. Hey, you don’t get a Miami beach body from gorging. So we decided to wander. The battle roudns continued on The Voice, with Pharrell Williams, Blake Shelton, Adam Levine and Gwen Stefani sending home more singers, and Pharrell using up his last steal for Menlik Zergabachew.
Team Pharrell: Taylor Phelan vs. Jordy Searcy
First up tonight were Team Pharrell’s Taylor Phelan and Jordy Searcy. Pharrell wanted to see the two battle to merge indie rock and pop rock, so he gave them The Script’s “Breakeven.” Taylor was lagging in rehearsals, and Alicia Keys encouraged both him and Jordy to explore the raw emotions of the song.
The battle was close, but Taylor won over Pharrell with his passionate delivery. Winner: Taylor.
Team Adam: Alessandra Castronovo vs. Joe Kirk
Alessandra Castronovo and Joe Kirk took on Rihanna’s “Stay” in a particularly emotional battle for Team Adam. In rehearsals, Joe was holding back and Alessandra was struggling to let go of her control.

Katriz Trinidad, 15, the daughter of immigrant parents, had her entire family backstage cheering her on for her audition – Etta James’ “At Last.” Katriz’s control and tone got Gwen, Pharrell and Blake to turn around before she got through with the first verse. Tommy Trash and Sebastian Ingrosso's "Reload" was first released last year, but the newer vocal mix courtesy of "Don't You Worry Child" crooner John Martin now has a video.
The dance titans (Ingrosso just finished touring as one third of Swedish House Mafia and Trash was nominated for a Grammy for his remix of Deadmau5' "The Veldt") don't appear in the video, which instead sees a man working through some "Game of Thrones" style challenges before reuniting with his lover. The couple then jumps into a volcano, which probably means something, but it's been a long week and we'll leave the guessing up to you.
Ingrosso will be doing an Artist#Talk and performing at New York's Highline Ballroom on June 10 (enter to win tickets for the show via Vibe).
So, what say you? Is it possible that a year-old jam might just be this year's summer anthem?...

But before "The Voice" results were revealed, there was a strange moment. Host Carson Daly admitted that there were some issues with the online and text votes this week. The CEO of Telescope, the company that handles the voting for "The Voice" and many other reality competition shows, joined Carson on stage and said that because of the inconsistencies in online and texting, the votes cast via those methods were not counted for any contestant. "Telescope certifies that...

As the Feb. 10 55th annual Grammy Awards edge closer, we’re analyzing a category a day. Today, we look at Best Dance Recording. Best Dance Recording nominees: “Levels,” Avicii “Let’s Go,” Calvin Harris featuring Ne-Yo “Bangarang,” Skrillex “Don’t Your Worry Child,” Swedish House Mafia featuring John Martin “I Can’t Live Without You,” Al Walser Who’S Missing: Anything by David Guetta. The dance screening committee may now consider him too pop for inclusion in this category, which is pretty hard core, despite some of the songs having expanded beyond their initial dance home. The Players: You can be forgiven if you saw...

On Day 2 of Boom, Belgium’s Tomorrowland Festival, a majority of the day’s 60,000 attendees sought out the Main Stage as the evening let on into night. Boom hometown stars Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike gave way to bass music king Skrillex, who put on an explosive, seizure inducing light spectacle, and even had a fireworks display that quickened in tempo with his music.
It goes without saying that with their remaining days together now numbered, a major draw for the weekend was the return of the Holy Trinity of House, Swedish House Mafia. And indeed Axwell, Sebastian Ingrosso and Steve Angello recently confirmed to MTV News UK, that they too were looking forward to their return to Boom, and a chance to play one more, likely final, time for their fans. Yes, as you’ll see in the clip below, Swedish House Mafia has nothing but love for Tomorrowland.

Pablo Ferro is "more popularly known for his work as a master title sequence designer (Dr Strangelove and The Thomas Crown Affair among countless others) and occasionally an actor as well (Greaser's Palace)," writes Marcus Herring in an entry punctuated with clips and exclamations, "but Pablo also crafted a number of the most memorable trailers of all time…. The Cinefamily is devoting an entire evening to showcasing the genius of Pablo Ferro on Tuesday September 27th, with Pablo himself in attendance! He'll bring loads of unavailable commercials (Beachnut Gum!), rare 35mm trailers (the Japanese version of A Clockwork Orange!), lost animations, and of course, his famous title sequences. We'll finish everything off with an ultra-rare presentation of Pablo's 1969 short The Inflatable Doll, starring one of our favorite on-screen strangemen, Don Calfa!" More on Pablo Ferro from Holly Willis; plus, three sites dedicated to his work: 1, 2 and 3.

London (Reuters) - The public adored John Martin's apocalyptic images of destruction and chaos yet the art establishment shunned him, helping to consign the British artist's works to the storage vaults.
Now a new show at London's Tate Britain gallery seeks to remind modern viewers what all the fuss was about nearly 200 years ago, when thousands of people queued to see Martin's work.
Charting the artist's rise to stardom, fall from grace and brief posthumous rehabilitation, "John Martin: Apocalypse" represents the largest display of Martin's works seen in public since 1822.
The exhibition, which runs from September 21-January 15, 2012 also features Martin's "lost" masterpiece, "The Destruction of Pompeii and Herculaneum," painted in 1821 but badly damaged in a flood in 1928.
Experts have carried out a painstaking restoration of the large, dramatic canvas, and the work will be seen in public for the first time in almost a century.

Figures are pressed against a long pane of glass. They are spread-eagled, as if blown there by a huge wind, and aghast. In a restaurant a trio of widows meet on their shared anniversary, to tell the story of their year: one is eager to uphold the tradition, the others impatient to move on. A Muslim shopkeeper is visited by a well-heeled regular customer: she chucks a brick through his window.
In Decade, Rupert Goold has drawn on 20 writers to provide scenes about 9/11 and its legacy, and made an uneven but absorbing evening. His first good decision is to tackle the scepticism which most people will feel at the idea of making a catastrophe into a theatrical event. Miriam Buether's design puts the audience in the Windows on the World restaurant at the World Trade Centre, with...

A new study shows how using iron to fertilize marine plants fundamentally alters seafloor ecosystems. But that might be worth it to slow climate change.
“Give me half a tanker of iron, and I’ll give you an ice age,” said biogeochemist John Martin, former director of the Moss Landing Marine Laboratory, several years ago. While admitting to hyperbole, Martin had a point: his discovery that iron dust could trigger phytoplankton blooms in certain parts of the ocean has led some to argue humans should help reverse climate change by fertilizing the microscopic marine plants that remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.
David Billett was part of a research team from the U.K.'s National Oceanography Centre studying how natural iron fertilization affects deep sea biology. "All options in mitigating the increase in atmospheric CO2 need to be kept open," Billett wrote Fast Company in an email. "[This work] needs to...

Judging from the clip, it appears a certain amount of assault and canines are involved.

Since then, the song has become easily one of the most anticipated Edm releases of the year. Today, the annually epic and newly relocated Electric Daisy Carnival announced its headliners for the now-three-day affair — scheduled for June 24-26. This year's mega-fest, which had in the past been held at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, will journey across the desert and into the heart of Sin City, where it will be held for the first time at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
Headlining on Friday, June 24, will be Tiësto, who recently blew away the crowd at Miami's Ultra Music Festival. His latest smash hit, "Beautiful World" — a collaboration with Mark Knight featuring Dino — earned fan-favorite honors in MTV News' Top Track of Miami poll, and his latest album, Club Life, Volume One: Las Vegas, currently sits at #3 on the Billboard Dance/Electronic Albums charts.

Thousands of fans treated to sight and sound spectacular during trio's Miami Music Week 'One Night Stand.'

Miami — Swedish House Mafia attempted — and executed — a spectacle of mammoth proportions on Miami's South Beach shore on Saturday. With close to 15,000 masked fans checked in and hundreds of others watching and dancing alongside a massive tent, the house music super-group treated their fans to the nine-hour mini-festival that was "Masquerade Motel: One Night Stand."
While the three Swedes were the headliners, their supporting lineup alone was worth marveling over: A-Trak, Armand Van Helden, Max Vangeli, AN21, Dirty South, and Pete Tong (who also emceed the event) were among the big-name performers. But when it came time for Axwell, Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso to take the stage, it was clear this show would be like no other Miami has seen.

Fasten your seat belts. The Swedes are coming back to Miami, and if the past is any indicator of the future, we all know what that means. Coming off a monthlong studio session in Los Angeles, you can bet your bottom dollar that Swedish House Mafia's latest single will be nothing short of epic.
It's no secret that the stakes are high. Having been dubbed owners of the unofficial Winter Music Conference anthems the past two years running with "Leave the World Behind" and "One," respectively, Ax, Seb and Steve know that their massive following expects nothing short of another Miami monster. And according to Axwell, when the curtain falls at Saturday's "Masquerade Motel: One Night Stand,...
