Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon tested the limits of NBC’s Password on Tuesday night (April 30) when he gave a clue that some viewers felt should have seen him disqualified. The game show sees two teams, each consisting of one celebrity player and one civilian player, competing to guess the “password” based on clues from their teammates. However, the players are not allowed to use the actual word itself when giving their clues. In Tuesday’s episode, Fallon’s team faced off against Howie Mandel‘s team, and things got a little dicey during the “Passwords You Can Do An Impression Of” round. According to The Sun U.S., the first clue “Yoda” was left unanswered after Mandel’s partner couldn’t figure out his interpretation. However, they nailed the second password, which was “Elmo.” However, the third password, “Godfather,” led to controversy. Fallon gave the first clue of “family,...

The parent company of Montreal’s Just For Laughs comedy festival, Groupe Juste Pour Rire Inc., is set to file for bankruptcy protection.
“Jpr’s board of directors, after having extensively considered all available alternatives, came to the conclusion that the financial situation of the organization left no other choice than to initiate formal restructuring proceedings,” the company said in a statement on Tuesday. Groupe Juste Pour Rire filed a notice of intention to make a proposal under Canada’s Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act.
In 2018, ICM Partners and longtime client Howie Mandel joined a consortium that included local Quebec investors to acquire the Just For Laughs comedy group by picking up the controlling stake of Jfl founder Gilbert Rozon.

America’s Got Talent: Fantasy League has crowned its first-ever winner, and it wasn’t the act many viewers expected to see come out on top. On Monday’s (February 19) finale, The Ramadhani Brothers beat out the competition, making Howie Mandel the first victor of the spin-off series. Fadhili Ramadhani and Ibrahim Jobu, the hand-and-head-balancing brothers from Tanzania, were originally drafted by Team Heidi Klum, but Mandel ‘stole’ the brothers after their qualifiers’ performance. “Winning AGT: Fantasy League is the most amazing feeling that we can’t describe!” Fadhili told People. “We have been in other Got Talent competitions around the world and have reached every finals but have never won. But winning against past winners of AGT and some of the best acts on the planet, it really raises our status.” The Ramadhani Brothers, who initially appeared on AGT during Season 18, faced off against eight other acts on Monday’s finale.

In its own way, Sol Saks' 1963 sitcom "Bewitched" was a subversive work. Inspired by movies like "I Married a Witch" (1942) and "Will Success Spoil Rock Hunter?" (1957), "Bewitched" followed the everyday, quotidian, brightly-lit travails of a typical white suburban couple named Darrin Stephens and Samantha (Elizabeth Montgomery).
The twist was that Samantha was a centuries-old witch, descended from a long line of magic-users. Endora (Agnes Moorehead), Samantha's colorful mother, would occasionally drop in, as would her father Maurice (Maurice Evans from "Planet of the Apes"), and uncle Arthur (legendary comedian Paul Lynde). The witches and warlocks on the show would often attempt to drive a wedge between Samantha and Darrin, but their love would prevail in the end.
Beginning in the show's third season, the Stephens had their first child, Tabitha (Erin Murphy and Diane Murphy). In the sixth season, they were joined by baby Adam (David Lawrence and Greg Lawrence).

Things got a bit chaotic on Tuesday (September 19) night’s episode of America’s Got Talent as Howie Mandel caused more red X button drama, which led to Simon Cowell apologizing to one of the acts. The incident happened while Nashville singing duo Trailer Flowers were on stage performing their original song, “Who You Are.” Midway through the act, Mandel leaned over and sneakily pressed Heidi Klum‘s red X button. However, with the show being live, the cameras didn’t pick up the button push, so host Terry Crews had to come out and clarify what had happened. The producers then aired an alternate shot that showed Mandel hitting Klum’s buzzer. “I would not press my buzzer in the semi-finals,” Mandel lied, despite everyone seeing the proof for themselves. Mandel has previously come under criticism for hitting the red X on Phil Wright & Parent Jam, the Sharpe Family Singers,...

On Wednesday’s episode of America’s Got Talent, the 51-year-old judge was asked to take a lie detector test by fellow judge Simon Cowell while sitting on a throne made of tater tots in honor of the competition show’s sponsor, Sonic.
The actress was accused of lying during the test multiple times, especially when asked by fellow judge Heidi Klum if Cowell was like a sweet puppy. She did claim to enjoy working on America’s Got Talent more than Modern Family, which the lie detector proved to be true.
But when judge Howie Mandel asked if there was anyone in the audience the newly single Vergara was “interested in,” Vergara jokingly replied, “That’s it!” She then...

Howie Mandel is coming to his fellow “America’s Got Talent” judge’s defense amid rumours Heidi Klum restricts herself to a 900-calorie-per-day diet.
On Wednesday, Klum took to her Instagram Story to combat reports of her eating habits.
“I just got home and some friends are sending me these articles that have been written that I only take in 900 calories,” the 50-year-old model began. “I want to say, I don’t think I’ve ever had to count my calories in my life, and don’t believe everything that you read. So, I don’t count my calories.”
Et’s Denny Directo spoke with Mandel via Zoom on Wednesday, where he agreed that the reports of Klum’s diet couldn’t be more wrong.
“Nobody eats more than Heidi Klum,” Mandel began, before joking she was asked to leave the country of Italy because she was creating a pasta shortage while on vacation.

Howie Mandel tried to play matchmaker on Tuesday’s (August 22) live episode of America’s Got Talent, as he joked that his fellow judge Sofía Vergara is single and ready to mingle following her divorce from Joe Manganiello. The moment came after 12-year-old ventriloquist Brynn Cummings wowed the judges with her performance, which included a funny skit in which she set Heidi Klum up with an eligible bachelor puppet named Lovebird. But Mandel had some advice for her next performance. “You’re adorable,” Mandel said. “I love that you blend magic and ventriloquism. You deserve to be here. I hope America loves you. If I had one word of advice, if you’re looking for eligible bachelors, you should have talked to Sofía because she’s in the market right now.” While some of the audience reacted in shock to Mandel’s comment, Vergara appeared unfazed, responding by throwing her hands into the air and cheering,...

America’S Got Talent –Pictured: (l-r) Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum, Sofía Vergara, Simon Cowell — (Photo by: Trae Patton/NBC) Of course, Howie Mandel loves working with his fellow America’s Got Talent judges, Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, and Sofia Vergara. But that doesn’t mean they always have the same feelings about the acts that perform on the show. And Mandel says that one of the best things about AGT is that what you see on the screen is honest, even when he and the other judges disagree. Howie Mandel is under fire from America’s Got Talent fans after he blasted a performance by contestants The Rybka Twins as “a little corny” and claimed their synchronized acrobatic act “would not go viral on TikTok.” Twin sisters Sam and Teagan Rybka appeared on the long-running talent show on Tuesday, July 18, after judge Simon Cowell previously encouraged the girls to audition. But while Cowell and Heidi Klum enjoyed the performance, Mandel and Sofia Vergara weren’t quite as impressed. Dressed in matching neon yellow outfits, the twins performed a synchronized routine to “Sway” by The Pussycat Dolls and “I Will Survive” by Gloria Gaynor. Trae Patton/NBC Mandel started off by saying he “could like it” as the twins “have the skill set,” but admitted he found the performance “a little corny.” As the studio audience booed the controversial judge’s comments, Mandel continued, “That would not go viral on TikTok.

Early in the second hour of Tuesday’s two-hour show, one particularly impressive dance crew, known as Murmuration, took the stage with a unique act involving 65 total dancers.

Howie Mandel slammed the Golden Buzzer on Tuesday’s (June 20) America’s Got Talent after a stunning performance left him “mesmerized.” As the fourth night of Season 18 auditions rolled on at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium, French dance group Murmuration took to the stage to try and impress judges Simon Cowell, Sofia Vergara, Heidi Klum, and Mandel. The performance (watch below), which featured 65 blindfolded dancers, saw Jibril Maillot lead his crew in a perfectly synchronized routine, leaving both the live audience and the judges in awe. Even host Terry Crews was astounded as he watched from the side of the stage. “Wow, I mean, you guys were so amazingly in-sync even though you couldn’t see anything, and there’s so many of you,” Klum said. “But it was so elegant; there was so much grace. I thought it was fantastic.” As TV Insider exclusively revealed June 19, Vergara was wowed by the performance.

Few people lived a life as bold and controversial as Leonardo da Vinci. It’s easy to forget sometimes he was also a human being with doubts who struggled with the same things that trouble just about all of us.
In animated feature “The Inventor,” writer/director Jim Capobianco, who shared an original screenplay Oscar nomination with Brad Bird and Jan Pinkava for “Ratatouille,” was always interested in the more personal side of the famed painter and inventor. “The Inventor” combines traditional 2D and stop-motion animation as well as original music and lyrics by Alex Mandel.

Writer/director Rob Zombie has been very open about the fact that he didn’t enjoy working with The Weinstein Company on his remake of Halloween and the follow-up Halloween II – and he tells some great stories about the nightmare of working with the Weinsteins, particularly Bob Weinstein, on the new episode of the Howie Mandel Does Stuff podcast.
Zombie said he tries to make movies on a budget of $4 million or less now because he has more creative control on projects like that, executives don’t get involved as much. Curated by the IndieWire Crafts team, Craft Considerations is a platform for filmmakers to talk about recent work we believe is worthy of awards consideration. In partnership with HBO, for this edition, we look at how the team behind “White House Plumbers” found a way to marry comedy, history, and the paranoid atmosphere of 1970s political thrillers.
There’s a scene in Episode 4 of “White House Plumbers” where Howard Hunt (Woody Harrelson), one of the masterminds behind the Watergate break-in, receives a call from reporter Bob Woodward. It’s the other side of the exact phone call dramatized from Woodward’s perspective in “All the President’s Men” — the 1976 movie about how Woodward and Carl Bernstein’s reporting helped bring down Hunt, his partner-in-crime G. Gordon Liddy (Justin Theroux), and the Nixon White House.

White House Plumbers shouldn’t require a spoiler warning. The HBO miniseries is about the Watergate scandal. But, since it’s told from the perspective of Nixon’s political saboteurs, E. Howard Hunt (Woody Harrelson) and G. Gordon Liddy (Justin Theroux), the five-episode satirical drama covers a ton of ground that the average person is likely coming upon for the first time.
“There are a lot of people who know Nixon resigned, maybe they’ve heard the word Watergate, maybe they only know ‘gate,’ like they’ve seen this-gate and that-gate. There’s an opportunity here to just let people know what President Nixon did. It’s a story where, maybe it’s been long enough that it’s time to remind people. But now, let’s go one step further,” said David Mandel, who directed all five episodes and is an executive producer alongside the show’s creators and writers,...

“I didn’t think anyone would ever do a Watergate series, so I never thought to ask,” reflects David Mandel about one of the defining moments in American political history. But as it turns out, he recalls, “One day, I found out there was a Watergate series and the next thing I knew I was the director of it.” The Emmy Award-winning executive producer credits his longtime home HBO for backing the series “White House Plumbers” because “only they would make this show about two very dangerous guys in the 1970s who went to work for the President to basically break the law in the name of the law.” Watch our exclusive video interview above.
While Mandel says he doesn’t “want anybody sympathizing” with the two criminals who masterminded the infamous Watergate break-ins — E. Howard Hunt (Woody Harrelson) and G. Gordon Liddy (Justin Theroux) — he does hope the series helps viewers understand them.

Alex Gregory and Peter Huyck's HBO miniseries "White House Plumbers" is a tonally audacious, behind-the-bungling tale of the men who botched the Watergate break-in and set in motion the demise of Richard M. Nixon's presidency. The series is focused on the two "masterminds" of the errant operation: E. Howard Hunt (Woody Harrelson) and G. Gordon Liddy (Paul Theroux). The five-episode series, directed by David Mandel (the former showrunner of "Veep"), is both broadly comedic and bruisingly tragic, as it must be.
What these men and their inept coconspirators carried out is easily the most egregious own-goal in the history of American politics. Nixon was riding high in the polls against his liberal 1972 opponent, Senator George McGovern of North Dakota, when they pushed through a plot to infiltrate the DNC headquarters housed at the sprawling Watergate complex in Washington D.C. ‘White House Plumbers’ Review: Woody Harrelson & Justin Theroux Make Fine Stooges in Watergate Farce
Just before G. Gordon Liddy (Justin Theroux) embarks on his very public trial for conspiracy, burglary, and illegal wiretapping — all tied to the 1972 Watergate scandal — his wife, Fran (Judy Greer), stops him outside the courthouse. “Are you sure you don’t want me to be there?” she asks her husband. “Oh, no, no, no,” Liddy replies. “I am going to act like a jackass — piss off the prosecution, force a few errors, send the whole thing to appeals, and get it all thrown out. If I see you in the gallery, I might be forced to remember my manners.”
Liddy’s trial prep is but one of many, many bad plans the former FBI agent cooks up over the course of “White House Plumbers,” HBO’s five-part limited series about the inept burglars behind the infamous Watergate break-in. But few so succinctly summarize his perpetually cocky, off-kilter demeanor, or what...

As a piece of history, the Watergate scandal is a daunting narrative smorgasbord.
There were too many characters in this madcap dramedy and they almost all beggar belief — one outlandish caricature after another — except that they’re all real. It’s a problem that Hollywood has solved by telling the Watergate story over and over again, with the spotlight on a different principal within the burgeoning fiasco each time. Maybe there are commonalities between Watergate recountings — the security guard removing the tape from an illicitly opened door has become the Murder of Bruce Wayne’s Parents of 20th century American history — but with an ever-changing prism, it should be possible to never come away with a repeated perspective.
Maybe you have All the President’s Men on one, very serious, end of the spectrum and Dick on another, very silly, end of the spectrum and every other variation looking for tonal traction in between.

Madix and Shay had previously looked into freezing their eggs together back in 2020, but Shay then got pregnant with her and Brock Davies’ daughter, Summer.

One of the biggest puzzle pieces of the spring television season recently fit into place with the announcement that the HBO limited series “White House Plumbers” will debut on Monday, May 1. From three of the comedic minds behind the Emmy-winning “Veep” — David Mandel, Alex Gregory and Peter Huyck — this five-part political thriller and satire explores the events of the Watergate break-in from vantage point of two of its masterminds: E. Howard Hunt (Woody Harrelson) and G. Gordon Liddy (Justin Theroux).
In the full trailer, Howard’s wife Dorothy, played by Lena Headey, declares the scheme to re-elect President Richard Nixon by bugging their opponents at the Democratic National Committee, “The stupidest thing I’ve ever heard.” The series begins with the White House employing Hunt and Liddy to investigate the leak of the Pentagon Papers and zeroes in on their subsequent, haphazard schemes to break into the DNC offices; the...

One big, happy family — for the time being. Nick Cannon is opening up about how his oldest children feel about their multitude of siblings.
The “Masked Singer” host sat down for a chat on the “Howie Mandel Does Stuff” podcast, and he addressed what his 11-year-old twins, Moroccan and Monroe — whom he shares with ex-wife Mariah Carey — think about Cannon’s 10 other kids, with a number of different partners.
“At this point, they enjoy it,” Cannon said. “They have fun and they’re the oldest.”
“But who knows where that will go when 16 hits?” he added.
The twins will be turning 12 on Apr. 30, and Cannon explained how the nature of their relationship has evolved, as one might expect, as the kids get older.
“It’s my first time having 12-year-olds and I have a set of them! And we’re having real conversations,” he shared. “Because, you know, their lives are far from normal.
