Burger King’s Russia division has filed a complaint with Russia’s Federal Antimonopoly Service (Fas) seeking for “It” to be banned in the country because Pennywise looks too much like Ronald McDonald. The company claims that because of the similarity, the film serves as an advertisement for their rival fast-food company. According to Newsweek, Russian financial publication Vedomosti obtained the complaint filed last week, which read that the “protagonist of the movie is an exact copy” of Ronald McDonald, “including the color range and the with which the clown lures children.” See Video: 'It' Child Actors First Saw Pennywise on Camera: 'We.

Richard and Maurice McDonald revolutionized the way that billions of people around the world eat – and produce – fast food.
The business they started in the 1930s as a hot dog stand near a racetrack is now valued at over $110 billion with more than 36,000 locations in over 100 countries around the world.
But McDonald’s wouldn’t be the global force it is today if not for the man who bought the family business and turned it into an empire.

McDonald’s is cutting back on Ronald McDonald appearances as reports of “creepy clown” sightings continue to rise.
The fast food chain said Tuesday that it is being “thoughtful in respect to Ronald McDonald’s participating in community events” due to the “current climate around clown sightings in communities,” according to the Associated Press.
The company’s decision comes after multiple reports of clown sightings across the Southeast — several of them false, authorities in states are alleging.
In two recent cases in Georgia and North Carolina, three people were accused of falsely reporting clown sightings and face misdemeanor charges, People confirmed.

The clown war just got serious. Especially for something that revolves around clowns. Beloved McDonald’s mascot Ronald McDonald is in danger of being pushed into semi-exile, due to the rash of creepy clown sightings and incidents that have plagued the nation in recent weeks. The fast-food giant said Tuesday that it will be “thoughtful” about Ronald’s community appearances, presumably meaning that the red-nosed icon will be showing up less frequently. Look, guys, the truth is, none of us can win. No, tonight, we are all Donald Trump’s favorite insult: losers. Donald Trump is running for president. Donald Trump hosted SNL (for the second time, lest we all forget). It happened, and all we can do is try to pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off, and make something of the rubble left behind. And, if you feel like it, you can also read my thoughts on the episode. Cold Open: MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow conducts the Democratic Candidates Forum. The first sketch of the night was Trump-free and decently funny, although it was also a bit of a retread of last episode’s Democratic Debate cold open. Still, some good-as-always moments from Kate McKinnon as Hillary (“But first, excuse me while I try to sit casually in this chair”) and a welcome return of Larry David as Bernie Sanders (“I...
