Isabel Bau Madden was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Known to her
friends as Zaba, she graduated from the American Academy of Dramatic
Arts in 1970(as Zaba Smodlaka) and is also an Honors graduate of CUNY.
Her stage debut in New York was as Eleutheria in "UBU BOUND" by Alfred
Jarry, directed by Gerald Mast at the Nighthouse theater. Her film
credits include: "Something-in-Between" (1982) by Srdjan Karanovic as Zaba
Madden, and "Una" (1984) by Milos 'Misa' Radivojevic as Isabel Ines Madden.
She is the director of the documentary film "A Day in the Life of Joseph Brodsky Nobel Prize Winner and Poet Laureate of the United States" (1992). Aside from her art directing.
