His National Theatre credits include: Shakespeare's "The Winter's Tale", "Cymbeline" and Ariel in "The Tempest" (all 1988, also international tour), "Entertaining Mr Sloane" by Joe Orton (1987), Jerome in "Brighton Beach Memoirs" by Neil Simon (1986, also West End).

Appeared in "Look, Look", a new play by Michael Frayn - Aldwych Theatre, London (1990).

Appeared in "The Glory of the Garden", a new play by Stephen Mallatratt - Duke of York's Theatre, London (1991).

Played Paul in "My Zinc Bed", a new play by David Hare - Royal Court Theatre, London (2001).
