Howard Lipstone, a longtime TV executive whose company produced In Search Of…, Gimme A Break and several socially conscious telefilms and miniseries in the 1970s and ’80s, has died. He was 87. Jane Lipstone, a TV executive and producer of health and lifestyle documentaries, died peacefully at her home in Los Angeles on Monday. She was 82. Among her survivors is her husband of nearly 56 years, Howard Lipstone, the former president/CEO of TV studio The Landsburg Co., and son Greg Lipstone, a partner at Hollywood talent agency ICM Partners.
