With his character being pushed into oncoming traffic on the Tuesday, March 5 episode, thereby killing him off, actor Brian Gaskill has confirmed that his time in Genoa City as Seth on “The Young and the Restless” has ended.
In a message posted on his Instagram page, Gaskill said, “Between social media and the Internet in general, news travels ridiculously fast these days …so… yeah, that happened…(and if you haven’t seen yet, please watch… I hear Los Angeles might be preempted… so check out Paramount+ or look for Times).”
“I had a great time on ‘Young and the Restless’ with the producers, directors, publicity department, and other actors,” added Gaskill in his post. “And it was incredible to see so much support from all of my friends on social media, who have been following along over the years… So grateful for all of you. The Friday, March 1 episode of “The Young and the Restless” is shaping up to be a must-see, as teased by actor Brian Gaskill, who is currently appearing on the series as Seth, Nikki’s (Melody Thomas Scott) AA sponsor.
On X (formerly Twitter), Gaskill noted, “It’s the beginning of everything” when talking about what fans can expect to happen next on the soap. Making things even more interesting, Friday’s episode sees Nikki learning shocking news. Does Gaskill’s tweet have anything to do with Nikki? You’ll have to tune in to find out!
Although we can’t wait to find out what happens next, one can’t help but wonder if Seth’s recent outings with Jordan (Colleen Zenk) might have something to do with “the beginning of everything” or his true backstory.

The Motley Fool announced today that Chris Hill, longtime host of the Motley Fool Money podcast and radio show, is leaving at the end of the month. One of The Motley Fool’s longest-tenured employees, Hill leaves the company after nearly 26 years.
“Getting the chance to create and host Motley Fool Money has been the highlight of my time at The Motley Fool,” said Hill, who has hosted the show since its first episode in February 2009. “One of the things I’ve always loved is the team approach we’ve taken to helping listeners understand what’s happening on Wall Street, bringing a long-term perspective to daily market news, and offering stock ideas and analysis. We have a deep bench, and that same team approach will continue after I’m gone. With the show in such a position of strength, the time is right for me to explore the next chapter in my professional life.

In Santa Clarita, a suburb just north of L.A., construction is continuing at the Center at Needham Ranch, which has already seen entertainment companies move in.
“For the last week or so we’ve been getting calls and texts from production companies, from locations scouts and studios looking for space,” says Cbre executive VP Craig Peters, the Needham Ranch leasing agent, who thinks producers are looking to restart, but slowly, in June. He expects a big space crunch.
Shows were on hiatus, but new series will also need stages, “and so you had a problem before this all started with having a virtually zero vacancy in the TMZ,” he says, referring to the 30-mile zone, the radius used by union film projects to determine per diem rates and driving distances for crew members.

Chvrches frontwoman Lauren Mayberry was taking a break from making her band’s upcoming fourth album when she began a self-isolated quarantine at her home in Los Angeles the weekend of March 13 — the same weekend that Season 3 of the teen drama “Elite” debuted on Netflix to an especially binge-hungry audience.
Though Mayberry was aware that the new season of the soapy, Spanish-language series features multiple, narrative-driven uses of Chvrches’ song “Forever,” a two-year-old album cut from the band’s latest release “Love Is Dead” (featuring production from Adele/ Sia /Beck producer Greg Kurstin), she had relatively low expectations, given that the song was never worked as a single.
“We’ve had things on film soundtracks or in certain TV shows or video games where you think, ‘That’s gonna create a lot of traction,’ and it doesn’t necessarily,” says Mayberry, whose bandmates Martin Doherty and Iain Cook were quarantined elsewhere in L.

It wasn’t so long ago that the mention of “runaway productions” would send the California below-the-line community into a panic. But in this era of peak TV and the demand for more and more content, California’s attractive rebates have lured producers back from other states. They have created a booking boom not only in the traditional backlots of Hollywood but also in the more far-flung studios and soundstages around Los Angeles County, as well as across the state.
The California Film Commission, which runs the Film & Television Tax Credit Program 2.0, administers $330 million per year to qualified TV and film projects. Last year, then-Gov. Jerry Brown extended the program until 2025. Eve Honthaner, deputy director of the California Film Commission, notes that “production is occurring in areas across the state with help from the tax credit program’s uplift for filming outside the L.A. 30-mile zone.” Some of these...

After 24 years Network Ten has axed flagship music program Video Hits.
Current hosts Faustina Agolley and Dylan Lewis will officially sign off on the final show, Saturday 6 August with a retrospective from the best moments from the past two decades.
Video Hits premiered on Ten on 15 February 1987, originally as a video-clip based program before evolving to include interviews, hosts, live music events and presenting partners and tours to its format.
The Australian reports Sports Tonight is also cancelled and across the network 60 editorial, engineering and operations roles have been cut while up to 40 non-contract staff have told they were no longer needed.
The newspaper also reports that no presenters have been axed but the roles of George Negus and Sandra Sully remain uncertain. Ten also closed down its publicity and marketing departments in Perth, Adelaide and Brisbane.
