- His theatre company, The Fountain Theatre in Los Angeles, is considered one of the premiere theatres in Los Angeles, and is the only theatre to win 3 Los Angeles OVATION Awards for Best Production. He produced the world premiere of Athol Fugard's Exits and Entrances in 2004 which is in negotiations for worldwide productions.
- He has the film rights to Lee Blessing's <Going to St. Ives, the hit play currently in New York at Primary Stages. He is in negotiations with a production company to set up financing.
- He won the PEN West Literary Award for his stage adaptation F. Scott Fitzgerald's Tender is the Night, and has written the official stage adaptation of The Great Gatsby.
- He once directed Annette Bening in The Mousetrap while they were both students at San Francisco State University.
- Since 1993, he has been the Producing Director/Dramaturg for The Fountain Theatre in Los Angeles. (February 2006)
