Paris-based talent platform Wscripted has unveiled its second Cannes Screenplay List showcasing a selection of scripts by female and non-binary writers.
This year’s list, which has been created in partnership with streaming service Mubi, features 25-English-language and six French-language feature scripts available for option or financing, by women screenwriters from France, Nigeria North America and the UK.
The selected talents include US-Egyptian filmmaker Dina Amer, Nigerian screenwriter Onyinye Egenti and Chinese-us director Eris Qian.

Lifetime Movie Network will explore the aftermath of the 2006 schoolhouse shooting in the Amish community of Nickel Mines, Pa., with "Amish Grace," an original movie starring Kimberly Williams-Paisley.
Matt Letscher and Tammy Blanchard co-star in the film based on real accounts and the book "Amish Grace: How Forgiveness Transcended Tragedy" by Donald Kraybill, Steven Nolt and David Weaver-Zercher.
On Oct. 2, 2006, a gunman walked into a Nickel Mines schoolhouse, took several girls hostage and eventually killed five of them before taking his own life. Alison Eastwood is poised to make her directorial debut with Rails and Ties for Warner Independent Pictures. The drama is being produced through Clint Eastwood's Malpaso Prods. Rails is based on an original screenplay by Micky Levy and revolves around two families and their physical, emotional and psychological collision. The story begins on a beautiful stretch of the California coastline, where a suicidal mother parks her car on a railroad crossing and awaits the arrival of a speeding train with her 9-year-old son in the car. Rob Lorenz is producing and overseeing the production for Malpaso, which has been based on the Warners lot for more than 30 years.
