Steve Martin is wild and crazy over season 4 of Only Murders in the Building.
“It’s star-studded,” Martin said to People of the new season, which has been filming in New York City. “And I’m going to say we’re about halfway through, and we are really enjoying this season.”
“We think it could be one of our best seasons,” he adds. “Although they’re all flawless.”
The upcoming season will find Charles (Martin), Oliver (Martin Short) and Mabel (Selena Gomez) “searching for answers about who killed Sazz.
Season 4 will also include the return of Meryl Streep and Paul Rudd, as well as a new cast of characters that includes Eugene Levy, Eva Longoria, Zach Galifianakis and Molly Shannon.

Hulu has big things coming down the pipe for Only Murders in the Building. Steve Martin said this week that the group is about halfway done filming, and that the cast of the upcoming season 4 will be “star-studded.”
Only Murders has made headlines in previous seasons for its glitzy guest stars, which have included Meryl Streep, Paul Rudd, Jesse Williams, Jane Lynch, Amy Schumer, Cara Delevingne and more. Season four is set to include new characters from Eugene Levy, Eva Longoria, Zach Galifianakis, Kumail Nanjiani and Molly Shannon.
It’s unclear if Martin’s comments were referring to even more not-yet-named stars who will join the cast, but he told People this week that he and his co-stars believe season four “could be one of our best seasons” (though he added that “they’re all flawless”).

The fourth season of Only Murders in the Building doesn't even have an exact release date yet, but it's already surrounded by a lot of mystery and fan speculation.
At the same time, the main premise of the new chapter in the adventures of three amateur detectives is known – they will investigate the murder of Sazz Pataki, Charles' stunt double in the Brazzos show, who was killed at the end of the third season. Most likely, Charles will play a bigger role than usual – apparently, he was the target of the assassination attempt and Sazz was an accidental victim.
What fans are most excited about now are the numerous new cast members: actors like Zach Galifianakis, Eva Longoria, Eugene Levy, Molly Shannon, Kumail Nanjiani and others will join the fourth season.

Joe Flaherty, founding member of “Sctv” and ubiquitous comic actor for decades including a stint as the Dad on “Freaks and Geeks,” has died at the age of 82, according to multiple reports.
The Pittsburgh-born performer (a rare American in the Canadian comedy sphere) got his start with the Chicago-based Second City Theater, first appearing on the “National Lampoon Radio Hour” before resettling in Toronto to become part of Second City’s core in the Great White North. The comedy realm is dealt another big blow as the world says goodbye to Joe Flaherty. According to Exclaim, the Sctv legend had been dealing with a sickness and was said to be “very ill.” In late February, Flaherty’s Second City brother, Martin Short, sent a message to their Sctv peers to fundraise for his home care in his last days, which amounted to $20K a month. Short had said that they had been made aware of the gravity of his condition and Flaherty chose to spend the rest of his life at home with his daughter rather than at a facility. The message would hit social media.
In Short’s fundraising message, he says, “We are writing to our friends because we believe Sctv meant something to you, and that would not be the case if it were not for Joe Flaherty. He was a mentor, a director,...

This Is Spinal Tap is one of the most quotable films in cinema history and defined the genre of film known today as the mockumentary.
Rob Reiner’s 1984 directorial debut about an aging English metal band chronicled fame, groupies and their fateful tour and would set the bar for the style of film to satirize a subject depicting fictional events but presented as a documentary. Instead of Madrid or Barcelona, he visits Andalusia, Spain. The Schitt’s Creek star forgoes Mykonos or Santorini for life on the tiny Greek island of Milos. He finds himself in Sylt, Germany, as opposed to major cities like Berlin or Munich.
Ahead of each season, the Reluctant Traveler production team scouts out possible locations for the Emmy-winning actor, comedian and nervous globe-trotter to visit. Together with Levy, they decide what places would be the most fun and meaningful, and go from there. From playing Jason Biggs‘ dad in the American Pie franchise to portraying Johnny Rose in Schitt’s Creek, Levy shared that he has always taken jobs that excite him, and he has no plans to stop doing that now. “I’ll take on jobs that I find really interesting, and jobs...

Exclusive: The legendary 1972 Toronto production of the musical Godspell – a staging that launched the careers of Martin Short, Eugene Levy, Gilda Radner, Victor Garber, Paul Shaffer, Andrea Martin and Dave Thomas, among others – will be the subject of a feature length documentary exec produced by Judd Apatow.
“As a bona fide comedy nerd,” said Apatow in a statement, “I’ve long wondered what exactly brought that amazing group of people together to produce not just a fantastic theatrical event, but what came after: Second City Toronto, Sctv, and of course Saturday Night Live – not to mention a host of movies and TV from Splash to The Three Amigos to Schitt’s Creek and Only Murders in the Building. To date, only three programs throughout television history have swept the top seven Primetime Emmys categories for series, lead actor, lead actress, supporting actor, supporting actress, writing and directing. The lucky three are: miniseries “Angels in America” (2004), comedy series “Schitt’s Creek” (2020) and drama series “The Crown” (2021). At the upcoming 2024 Emmys, “The Bear” is hoping to join this esteemed list — and it’s all thanks to a savvy category switcheroo from one of its fan-fave stars.
Recently the FX dramedy about a Chicago beef restaurant claimed six of the top seven Primetime Emmys for its first season: comedy series, lead actor Jeremy Allen White as Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto, supporting actor Ebon Moss-Bachrach as restaurant manager Richard “Richie” Jerimovich, supporting actress Ayo Edebiri as sous-chef Sydney Adamu, and both writing and directing for Christopher Storer. “The Bear” was not eligible in the lead actress category, so it couldn’t win there and complete the sweep.

Yet, sure enough, at the age of 77, he’s achieved that honor after achieving both fame and acclaim in the American Pie movies, Christopher Guest’s series of mockumentary films, and, of course, the Emmy Award-winning comedy Schitt’s Creek Currently starring in his own reality series, The Reluctant Traveler, Levy talked about what it means for him to be honored with his Walk of Fame star.

American Pie and Schitt’s Creek alum Eugene Levy has recently taken his trademark glasses on the road to visit some of the world’s most desirable and interesting locations with his docuseries The Reluctant Traveler, which begins its second season today and takes him all across Europe. Though Levy still defines himself as a person who doesn’t like to travel, he admits he enjoyed at least some moments on his various trips. “I don’t think I would ever travel for fun. I just truly, deep down … it’s the arc of travel that I’m still not totally encompassing. I just really don’t like the airport experience,” Levy says, of his continuing reluctance. “There’s too much about it, but then I’m going on.” Still, there were some memorable moments, and perhaps even a few enjoyable ones, such as visiting the area of Scotland his mother hails from,...

The premise of The Reluctant Traveler is a simple one. There’s a traveler and he’s reluctant, you see. But’s he’s also much more than that.
That’s because the titular reluctant traveler in this Apple TV+ docuseries is none other than comedy legend Eugene Levy. Levy’s prolific career has spanned decades – from his time on the Canadian sketch series Sctv to his many roles in Christopher Guest’s collection of mockumentaries to his most recent Emmy award-winning portrayal of Johnny Rose in Schitt’s Creek, the sitcom created by his son Dan Levy. Through all of these onscreen adventures, however, Levy never quite caught the travel bug. The Reluctant Traveler season 1 sought to rectify that by forcing him into locales like Costa Rica, Italy, Japan, and more.

Details of Eugene Levy’s role in the fourth season are being kept under wraps, but it’s said it will be recurring.
