With more than a dozen high-profile venues in their hospitality portfolio (Delilah, Bootsy Bellows, Bird Streets Club), The h.wood Group’s John Terzian and Brian Toll are the go-to-guys for L.A.’s coveted tables, the masterminds behind A-lister nights out and the gatekeepers of exclusive events surrounding Super Bowl and Paris Fashion Week. Now, they are harnessing the industry connections they have amassed over two decades to create h.wood Media, a multimedia production arm of their hospitality company.

The multi-strategy vertical grew from a collaboration between Allen, Toll and Terzian on 2022’s They Call Me Magic, an Emmy-nominated Apple+ docuseries about Magic Johnson.

Kristen Stewart and Katy O’Brien excel in Saint Maud director Rose Glass’ sophomore feature. Here’s our review of Love Lies Bleeding.
If there was any concern or doubt that Rose Glass, the director of 2019’s Saint Maud, wasn’t the real deal, her new film puts all that to rest. Glass’ second feature, Love Lies Bleeding, is a haunting, pulpy affair about the whirlwind romance between a gym manager and an aspiring bodybuilder.
In a star-making turn, Katy O’Brian plays Jackie, who runs into Kristen Stewart’s Lou on her way to Las Vegas for a bodybuilding competition. Their chemistry is sizzling, but Lou’s troubled, criminally inclined family soon complicates their romance.
The cast is rounded out by Jena Malone, Dave Franco and Ed Harris, who sports a particularly impressive hair-do. In a lesser film such ridiculous, over-the-top hair extensions might be a distraction, but here they only add to the uneasy,...

One of the most anticipated and hottest films of 2024 is finally here. We are talking about Zendaya‘s Challengers which was memed to death for a threesome scene that was shown in the trailer but if you have seen the film then you know that the brilliance of the film is much more than that one scene. Directed by Call Me By Your Name‘s Luca Guadagnino from a screenplay by Justin Kuritzkes, the sports romantic drama follows the story of a talented tennis player Tashi, and her twisted relationship with two tennis players, one of whom is her husband now. Challengers stars Zendaya, Mike Faist, and Josh O’Connor in the lead role with Jordan Thompson, Faith Fay, Hailey Gates, and Tierre Diaz starring in supporting roles. So, if you loved the story of ambition and toxic relationships in Challengers you should check out these films with similar themes next.

In Challengers, everyone is obsessed with Zendaya. Or, at least, her character Tashi Duncan. “She’s gonna turn her whole family into millionaires,” says Josh O’Connor’s young tennis champ Patrick Zweig, to old friend and doubles partner Art Donaldson (Mike Faist). “She’ll have a fashion line, a foundation.” It’s easy to see why they’re in awe. Duncan is a world-class player, brand ambassador, and the object of both their affections. And with regards to ambition, ability, and enormous success at a young age, they could just as easily be talking about Zendaya herself – a star who, over the past few years, has been executing her own Tashi-esque world domination. So far, she’s moved from kids’ TV star to being a part of some of the biggest movies on the planet. With Challengers, though, she’s taking things to a whole other level.

This April sees Zendaya cross a milestone it honestly feels like she should have reached ages ago: a legitimate leading role in a theatrical film. The actor has been one of the biggest stars of Generation Z and a much hyped starlet for years now, and yet a quick glance at her Wikipedia page reveals a shockingly short resume.
The Oakland born star’s adult film career, after a childhood in the Disney Channel machine leading sitcoms like “Shake It Up” and “Kc Undercover,” really only started in 2017, with a brief supporting turn in Marvel’s “Spider-Man: Homecoming.” Opposite her eventual real-life boyfriend Tom Holland, she only had a scant 10 minutes or so of screentime as the sarcastic teen Mj — hardly a star is born moment, despite what the advertising for the film would have you expect.
Zendaya would reprise her role in future Spider-Man films, and her screentime increased with each installment.

When Euphoria first aired, it set a new bar for teen dramas. Its cast is a mix of so many different characters with unique story storylines and personal struggles.
Each gave fans a different window into realities or a mirror to connect with.
It discusses addiction, sexual exploration, sexuality, domestic abuse, body image, first loves, heartbreaks, the ups and downs of friendships, and so much more.
The show has been awarded nine Emmys for its first two seasons, which is not an easy feat, and the actors' careers blew up from it.
It was an overnight success and had a magnetic effect on fans.
However, one question has been all the talk since the second season came out in January 2022: When will Season 3 air, or will there even be a third season?
However, there's a follow-up question that can't be ignored. Is it time to give up on Euphoria Season 3?

The fate of “Euphoria” Season 3 has been a constantly evolving topic since Season 2 finale ended in February 2022. Sam Levinson’s high school drama cemented itself as a cultural phenomenon after its first two seasons on HBO — but as many cast members saw their careers skyrocket, the task of reassembling everyone became increasingly challenging.
But even as the likes of Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, and Jacob Elordi continue to build film careers, the show was scheduled to resume production in summer 2024. Levinson had revealed that the third season, which he described as a “film noir,” would jump forward five years in time and follow the show’s cast as they establish their adult lives outside of East Highland High School. But as reports of creative differences and logistical struggles began to circulate, HBO announced in March that the cast had been released to pursue other opportunities this summer.

After Euphoria season 2 premiered on January 9, 2022, it has been years since fans have been waiting for the third installment. Despite the anticipation and excitement surrounding the project, the HBO teen drama repeatedly suffered delays in production and premiere. Recently, even Zendaya admitted being in the dark about Euphoria season 3 progress.

Even before Zendaya won an Emmy for starring in the popular HBO original drama Euphoria, she was a prominent figure in the Marvel film industry. Having said that, she is the only member of Sam Levinson’s series’ main cast who remains a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This will undoubtedly change if her Euphoria co-star, Sydney Sweeney, chooses to emulate Zendaya’s footsteps.
We are confident in Sweeney’s ability to carry out a variety of roles because of her work outside of the Cassie Howard role, such as her courageous performance in HBO’s The White Lotus. That is exactly the kind of talent Kevin Feige, the head of Marvel Studios, seeks in an actor when deciding who will play the next big Marvel characters on either the small or big screen.

Looks like nobody is really sure about when ‘Euphoria’ will return with its season 3. Forget ardent fans, even Hollywood star Zendaya claims that she, too, is unaware of when the third season will begin production.
Although the ‘Euphoria’ star is an executive producer of the hit HBO series, she said she’s “not in charge” of whether or not the third season will really happen, reports Variety.
But of course, Zendaya wants to play Rue again. “If it’s right for the characters and everything turns out the way it should, of course,” Zendaya told Variety at the ‘Challengers’ premiere in Los Angeles Tuesday night (Pacific Standard Time). “But it’s beyond me.”
As per Variety, HBO announced the postponement of ‘Euphoria’ Season 3 on March 25, saying that the network and creator Sam Levinson “remain committed to making an exceptional third season.”

Season 2 of HBO’s Euphoria ended on a fairly positive note, with the series being HBO’s second most-watched show of all time when it aired in 2022. Watching live on Sunday nights became popular thanks to the countless memes that sprouted from the show’s dramatic plotlines. But now that it’s been two years since Lexi’s play and the fight that ensued, and probably another year until filming for the next season even begins, it’s hard to see a full third season as the right step forward.
This isn’t to say that script delays are entirely Sam Levinson’s fault. The WGA strike lasted for nearly five months thanks to the AMPTP’s refusal to meet the guild’s reasonable terms, and the unexpected death of star Angus Cloud during that time also means that script revisions were likely needed as soon as work was able to begin again.

Hunter Schafer said in a new GQ cover story that she has been strategic in trying to shift the public’s focus away from her gender identity as a transgender person. The “Euphoria” favorite does not want her identity to be the sole talking point about her and has at times tried to avoid saying the word “trans” during interviews in order to ensure her career is not solely defined by her gender identity.
“It has not just happened naturally by any means. If I let it happen, it would still be giving ‘Transsexual Actress’ before every article ever,” Schafer said.

Few current Hollywood TV projects have endured as much public turmoil as the planned “Euphoria” Season 3. Sam Levinson’s HBO drama has struggled to coordinate the schedules and creative tastes of its increasingly famous ensemble cast — which includes the likes of Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, and Jacob Elordi — since Season 2 ended in early 2022. The show’s famously difficult shoots only added to the pressure, but Levinson and company still planned to spend summer 2024 shooting a new season that was expected to take place five years after the events of Season 2.
Those plans came to a halt on Monday, March 25, when HBO officially announced that the new season had been delayed indefinitely. “HBO and Sam Levinson remain committed to making an exceptional third season,” a representative for HBO told IndieWire at the time. “In the interim, we are allowing our in-demand cast to pursue other opportunities.”

Despite the show’s popularity, the future of Euphoria looks increasingly uncertain. HBO recently announced that Season 3, which was initially slated to begin production this spring, has been officially delayed. Per Variety, there have been disagreements over creator Sam Levinson’s scripts, which involve a five-year time jump and potential storylines like Rue being a private detective or acting as a pregnancy surrogate. At this rate, it looks like filming won’t start until at least 2025. Although HBO maintains that the series has not been canceled, one cast member has admitted they’re doubtful that the season will happen at all.

In an exclusive report from Variety, the outlet details the problems surrounding Euphoria Season 3, including story frustrations, rewrites, scheduling conflicts, and the fact that several show stars are some of Hollywood’s most in-demand actors.
HBO delayed production for Euphoria Season 3 earlier this week after announcing a spring start for cameras to roll. “HBO and Sam Levinson remain committed to making an exceptional third season,” an HBO rep told Variety. “In the interim, we are allowing our in-demand cast to pursue other opportunities.”
A problem with releasing actors into the wild to participate in other marquee projects is scheduling. Euphoria Season 3 has been delayed indefinitely, leaving audiences of the show clamoring for any titbit of information that can come their way. The delay has come largely as a reaction to the unavailability of the cast and crew to come together for Season 3, given that Season 2 launched its stars into the mainstream.

Will Euphoria Season 3 ever see the light of day?
That’s been the big question ever since stars like Jacob Elordi and Sydney Sweeney soared in popularity after the release of Euphoria Season 2 in 2022.
Zendaya, who headlines the Emmy-winning drama, was a massive star before the show, and her career has continued to go from strength to strength during a lengthy hiatus between Euphoria Season 2 and the planned Euphoria Season 3.
When rumors swirled last week that the show had been canceled, HBO quickly pointed out that the cast was expected to return for filming later.
According to Variety, the series’ future is uncertain due to a myriad of issues.
Creator Sam Levinson allegedly turned in scripts for the third season that left HBO “feeling unsatisfied.”

Zendaya’s Euphoria has managed to garner massive ratings for HBO with its first two seasons, prompting the studio to trust Sam Levinson with a third season. While work on a potential new season began a long time back, HBO has officially announced a delay in the start of production. According to reports, the studio was initially content with Levinson’s pitch for the season, but lead star Zendaya’s certain suggestions to the script did not sit well with the executives.

The fate of the third season of Euphoria seems murkier than ever.
Following the massive success of Euphoria‘s Season One in 2019, Season Two was hit with the Covid pandemic and didn’t air until 2022. Afterwards, the tragic death of Angus Cloud, who played the beloved character Fezco, and the Hollywood writers and actors strikes, led to multiple delays and setbacks for the third installment.
On Monday, the streaming giant revealed that while creator Sam Levinson was still “committed” to making a third season of the hit drama, any projected premiere dates have been postponed.

During its two-season run on HBO, “Euphoria” has launched its young cast into superstardom and won multiple Emmys, while also being a magnet for controversy — but whatever lies ahead for the Sam Levinson-created show is going to have to wait.
Earlier this week, HBO officially delayed the drama, which was set to begin production later this spring. “HBO and Sam Levinson remain committed to making an exceptional third season,” an HBO spokesperson told Variety. “In the interim, we are allowing our in-demand cast to pursue other opportunities.”
What the network isn’t saying is that no one at HBO is at all sure a third season of “Euphoria” will ever come to fruition given the disparate visions for the show’s next chapter. But “Euphoria” has been invaluable to the network — attracting the often-elusive millennial and Gen Z viewers, as well as massive ratings — and executives from Casey Bloys...

Earlier this week, HBO gave an update for “Euphoria” Season 3 amid rumors of the network axing Sam Levinson‘s hit series. And no, it’s not canceled, only delayed, so that Levinson may finish his script and accommodate a time jump between S2 and S3. “Euphoria” fans may be bummed they need to wait longer than until next year for a new season, but star Sydney Sweeney couldn’t be happier.

Sydney Sweeney actually couldn’t be happier that “Euphoria” Season 3 — whose filming was recently delayed at HBO — will involve a time jump from Season 2.
The Emmy-nominated actress revealed in a Who What Wear cover story that the extra time between Seasons 2 and 3 of the teen drama will give the actress “more room for growth” as a person, which no doubt will be reflected in her character Cassie’s arc for the upcoming “wild” installment.
“I actually like it because there’s so much room for growth for both me as a person and also Cassie as a character,” Sweeney said.
She teased of the upcoming storyline, “It’s going to be very, very wild.”

Yesterday, “Euphoria” fans received bad news. HBO and Sam Levinson will presumably give us a third season of “Euphoria” … eventually.
A production delay will allow its extremely in-demand cast—including Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, Hunter Schafer, and Jacob Elordi—to continue to work elsewhere and also free the writers to put high school behind them, bringing these characters a bit further into the real world.
The Hollywood Reporter suggested that factoring in a time jump was more than a smart creative move, it would keep the very visible cast in the show’s good graces, since they can now, in HBO’s words “pursue other opportunities” and still “remain committed to making an exceptional third season.” No specific dates for the commencement of principal photography have been given, let alone an air date.
“Euphoria,” an adaptation of an Israeli drama of the same name, debuted in 2019 with eight episodes, then came back for a second season in 2022 with another eight.

Euphoria has been one blockbuster of a series. Despite its overtly s*xual content and portrayal of dr*g usage and the criticism following it, the series has gone on to earn several awards and nominations, including Primetime Emmy Awards. Not only did it carry several moral lessons along with its mature theme, but the series propelled its main stars to the very top of Hollywood’s social circle.

When Euphoria eventually returns for its third season, Rue and friends will no longer be in high school.
Sources tell The Hollywood Reporter that multiple factors are behind HBO’s decision to delay production on the third season of the drama starring Zendaya, notably conversations between the network and creator Sam Levinson on where the action will be set after the characters leave high school. Initially slated to begin in the coming months, production is now forced to hit pause as the creative team and network hash out the new world.
Sources close to the series say Levinson’s plan is to feature a time jump when the third season eventually returns — ideally in 2025 but no longer guaranteed. Sam Levinson is moving the “Euphoria” storyline away from high school into early adulthood, and HBO agreed to give the showrunner more time to get it right, TheWrap has learned.

A flagship show with nine Emmy wins to date from 25 nominations, including Outstanding Drama Series in 2022, HBO has been desperate for more of their critically acclaimed hit “Euphoria.” However, as showrunner Sam Levinson has taken detours (like 2023’s poorly received and canceled “The Idol”), the much-anticipated series was pushed to 2025. Now, amid new rumors that the third season would be scrapped entirely, HBO tells Variety that the series is still in the works and the show is still alive; however, its shooting schedule has been delayed again.

HBO’s hit controversial show Euphoria from the risqué maestro, Sam Levinson, has delayed the shoot for season 3. Levinson had planned to work on season 3 while his other series for HBO, Idol, was in post-production, but the dual strikes from the writers’ and actors’ unions would initially hold up the production. HBO’s Head of Drama Francesca Orsi said last year, “Euphoria is one of those that we had begun writing in tandem with post-production on Idol but at this point, we don’t have countless scripts. We can’t start shooting, so the delivery of that show — ideally in 2025 — will be determined on when we can pick back up with Sam [Levinson], who at this point is all pencils down and just finishing posts on Idol.“
Now HBO is telling Deadline that while Levinson tweaks the scripts for season 3, they are letting the stars take on other projects during the delay.
