Comedian Jay Leno and his wife, Mavis Leno, stepped out for a special evening at the Los Angeles premiere of Unfrosted. This marks their first public appearance since revealing Mavis’s dementia diagnosis.
The couple, who have been married for over four decades, were in good spirits as they spoke to Entertainment Tonight on the red carpet.
Mavis expressed her positive outlook and stated, “I feel great,” during the interview.
The movie’s premiere, directed by Jerry Seinfeld, provided a much-needed opportunity for entertainment, according to Leno. “Thought I’d come to something fun for a change,” he said. “Everything is so controversial. Just to come to a funny, silly movie ― it’s great. I think people will have a great time.”
The Lenos’ public outing comes as they privately navigate Mavis’s health challenges. In January, Leno filed for a conservatorship of their joint estate and cited his wife’s cognitive decline.

Jerry Seinfeld’s Pop-Tart comedy Unfrosted debuted in Los Angeles on Tuesday, where its star-studded cast was also joined by a special guest heaping praise on the film.
Jay Leno — alongside wife Mavis — crashed The Hollywood Reporter‘s red carpet interview with Seinfeld, as he joked, “I’m so sick of these hard-hitting, controversial documentaries. Can’t somebody just make a comedy anymore? Everything is a teachable moment and, ‘Oh I learned this.’ I just want to come and laugh.”
Seinfeld teased, “Because you’re not smart enough to learn anything,” as the friends of 45 years laughed, and Leno declared that the movie “is exactly what America needs right now, it’s going to be a really funny movie.”

Three former late-night stars — or, apparently, “kings” — are sharing a stage together later this year.
Jay Leno, Craig Ferguson, and Arsenio Hall are presenting a night of standup that’s being billed as the “Kings of Late Night.” The trio will perform at the retro-themed San Diego County Fair on June 21, and again at the Mountain Winery in Saratoga, CA, on September 28.
While some might hesitate to call anyone but Johnny Carson a “king” of the genre, the three comics are certainly some of the biggest names in late-night history.
Leno helmed NBC’s Tonight Show twice — from 1992-2009, and again from 2010-2014. Ferguson hosted the CBS 12:30 franchise The Late Late Show from 2005-2014, and Hall’s syndicated Arsenio Hall Show ran from 1989-1994, with a short-lived revival between 2013-2014.
While there are only two dates currently on the books, we could see more, as the three comics have hit the road together before.

New court documents reveal that Jay Leno‘s wife, Mavis, is facing an “advanced” form of dementia and “sometimes does not know her husband nor her date of birth.” The update comes after the legendary talk show host filed for a conservatorship over his wife in January. As previously reported, Leno is seeking control of Mavis’ estate and finances, not her person. This is to “establish a living trust… that ensures [Mavis] has managed assets sufficient to provide her with future care” should Leno die before her. In new court documents filed in the Los Angeles County Superior Court and obtained by Entertainment Weekly, Mavis’ court-appointed legal counsel, Ronald Ostrin, shared details of his findings during his investigation into Leno’s bid for conservatorship. Ostrin wrote that neurologist Dr. Hart Cohen claims that Mavis “sometimes does not know her husband, Jay, nor her date of birth.” In addition, she often has...

More than eight years after David Letterman signed off as host of The Late Show, he will return – not as host (this ain’t The Tonight Show!) but as guest. Next Monday, Letterman will take the chair next to current host Stephen Colbert, who took over for the snarky, TV-smashing, near-Ted Striker Letterman in 2015.
During Thursday’s episode of The Late Show, Stephen Colbert announced that David Letterman would make his triumphant return to The Ed Sullivan Theater, which the latter made his home for 23 seasons and more than 4,200 episodes. “I am so happy to say, I will be joined…by a man who is no stranger to The Ed Sullivan Theater, though I know for a fact he’s not been here for eight-and-a-half years. Because my guest will be Mr. David Letterman.”

Many horror tales like "Late Night with the Devil" warn against succumbing to the bright, blinding spotlights of fame, but few mirror its structure. "Ghostwatch," "Wnuf Halloween Special," or the "Public Television of the Dead" episode of Shudder's "Creepshow" are comparison points, as Cameron and Colin Cairnes unleash evils upon a nightly talk show's most important episode. It's a period throwback to 1970s horror vibes with mentions of Vincent Price or Ed and Lorraine Warren (although they've made a comeback thanks to James Wan) that eerily recreates the experience of being on a bustling Sweeps Week set. Expect something more cable-access creepy than ratings-breaking scary, taking its time through interview segments before the devil raises all kinds of hell in front of a live studio audience.

Forget the DeLorean time machine from "Back to the Future" and the Aston Martins from the James Bond films. The real on-screen car Mvp is the original Batmobile from the 1960s "Batman" TV series. It's one of the most iconic rides in entertainment history, with its giant fins, Bat motif, and curved windshield.
The Batmobile first appeared in the comics in 1939's "Detective Comics" #27 and made the jump to live action in the 1943 serial film "Batman," and 1949 serial "Batman and Robin." For the TV series, George Barris designed the car from a one-off 1955 Lincoln Futura concept car, with some input from Eddie Graves from 20th Century Fox. It was an integral part of the series, which ran for 120 episodes over three seasons from 1966 to 1968.
The "Batman" series starred Adam West as Bruce Wayne/Batman, and Burt Ward as Dick Grayson/Robin and the two were often shown leaving through the hidden entrance of the Batcave.

Jay Leno is on the mend after multiple surgeries following a horrible accident in his garage less than four months ago. As expected, Leno has taken the approach of discussing both the accident and the procedures through a humorous manner.

I was fourteen years old. I had just gotten home from a friend’s house after dark and noticed my parents weren’t home. Nice. I flipped on the cable TV with the clicker, not even bothering to find a channel. I’m loafing around, snacking or whatever. Then I hear blood curdling screams and the TV finally catches my attention.
Now, what I was about to experience could not have happened today. Today I would just whip out my phone and Google it and understand this situation. Then I’d hop on Twitter to see what everyone thinks. Instead, what I was about to see scared the living shit out of me the same way I would imagine witnessing a murder in the middle of the woods would. It would also send me on a weeks long goose chase of pure unadulterated fear and culminate in me feeling extremely stupid.

Jay Leno is on the road to recovery. Following a mishap in his own garage that left him severely burned, Leno was rushed to the hospital to be treated for burns. Now, one month after the November accident, the former late night comedy host is reflecting on that day, providing details that led up to the horrifying moment.
The incident occurred on November 12th when Leno and friend Dave Killackey were working on a 1907 White Steam Car. “With a steam car, you have gasoline, but you also have a vaporizer which is heated by a pilot light to turn water into steam.” Once air hit, Leno “got a face full of gasoline…I knew how close I was to the pilot light and I thought ‘Uh oh.’” Uh oh, indeed, as Leno would spend 10 days in the hospital. As revealed in a clip Tuesday night, Leno said he got a face full of gasoline that quickly caught on fire while he was working on one of his vintage cars. Luckily, his friend Dave Killackey, who was working on the car with him, helped put the fire out.
“I couldn’t even see his face. He downplays it all…it was a wall of fire,” Killackey said as he joined Leno and Kotb for the interview. “I...

Jay Leno knows the Nov. 12 garage fire that left him with second-degree burns and required skin grafts could have been a lot worse, as he explained in an interview published Tuesday in which he talked about the accident for the first time. “I could have lost an eye,” he said.
The former “Tonight Show” host was at home in Burbank working on his one of his many cars, a 1907 White Steam Car park that had a clogged fuel line. “With a steam car, you have gasoline, but you also have a vaporizer which is heated by a pilot light to turn water into steam,” Leno told People about the antique car.
In his attempt to unclog the fuel line, “I got a face full of gasoline,” he explained. “I knew how close I was to the pilot light and I thought ‘Uh oh.'” A spark reacted with the gas and ignited.

He began the column by reiterating that the fire, which happened while he was working on one of the cars in his garage, “was an accident, that’s all.”
“Anybody who works with their hands on a regular basis is going to have an accident at some point. If you play football, you get a concussion or a broken leg. Anything you do, there’s a risk factor,” he said of the incident.
