- Extensively workshopped and shot on the south coast of England in 10 days on DV, 'Everyone's Happy' is a small gem of character comedy that recalls Mike Leigh at his more restrained. Scripted by Simon Beaufoy and marvelously played by a no-name cast, it puts many flashier Britpics to shame.
- Everyone's Happy' is one of these 'little' Films, which succeed in telling a story with minimal technical expenditure, that blows you away like a hurricane.
- Frances is clearly an original and daring director who dares to explore complex psychological relationships as well as bizarre comic situations. Such hutzpah is rare in today's world of formulaic, genre-driven filmmaking.
