- Ron Kramer was born on June 24, 1935 in Girard, Kansas, USA. He was an actor, known for Paper Lion (1968), 12 O'Clock High (1964) and The NFL on CBS (1956). He died on September 11, 2010 in Fenton, Michigan, USA.
- Played offensive end/tight end for the National Football League's Green Bay Packers (1957, 1959-1964) and Detroit Lions (1965-1967).
- He won nine letters at the University of Michigan in three sports (football, baseball, and track). A two-time All-American for the Wolverines, his No. 87 jersey was retired after his senior year in 1957.
- Inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1978.
