Octomom Gives a Lesson on the Birds and the Bees

13 November 2009 10:00 AM, PST | PEOPLE.com | See recent PEOPLE.com news »

Nadya Suleman has 14 children - so she'd better start practicing the "birds and the bees" talk. And that's where former Miss South Carolina Teen USA, Caitlin Upton, comes in. In a funny clip that aired Thursday night on Jimmy Kimmel Live, the pageant queen sets out to discover "where babies come from." So, she sits down with Suleman for "the talk." When asked about procreation, Suleman says straightforwardly, "most babies tend to come from a mom and dad when they're engaging in natural procreation - sex! I didn't do that." Explaining that in vitro fertilization is complex, the ladies venture »

Lopez Tonight Ratings Ripple Late-Night White-Guy Status Quo

10 November 2009 1:30 PM, PST | Movieline | See recent Movieline news »

Thanks to a cross-network premiere on TBS, TNT, and TruTV, comedian George Lopez's new talk show Lopez Tonight might be more watched in key demos (1 million viewers in the sacred 18-49 range on TBS alone) than The Daily Show with Jon Stewart and Jimmy Kimmel Live. Add up the pull of all three networks, and that number beats the regular key-demo viewership for Conan O'Brien and David Letterman. You're checking the roof for vultures, right? Frankly, this debut ratings spike for Lopez could be worse news. Clip of Lopez interviewing Kobe Bryant, as well as placating analysis, after the jump. »

'Lopez Tonight' Starts Strong for TBS

10 November 2009 12:32 PM, PST | The Wrap | See recent The Wrap news »

By Josef Adalian

Oye como wow: George Lopez's new TBS talk show got off to a solid start Monday in the ratings.

"Lopez Tonight" averaged 1.7 million viewers, just over 1 million of whom were adults 18-49. In the key demo, "Lopez" outperformed the season-to-date averages for veteran late-night staples such as "The Daily Show" and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," according to Nielsen data.

"Lopez" also did particularly well with adults 18-34, attracting 608,000 viewers in that deno. That's more than CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman" i... »

Why did 60 Minutes say that Andre Agassi was "only" talking to them?

10 November 2009 5:03 AM, PST | AOL - TVSquad | See recent AOL - TVSquad news »

When CBS promoted the 60 Minutes interview with Andre Agassi that aired this past Sunday, they said that he was only talking to one person, Katie Couric, as if this was the only place you'd be able to hear Agassi talk about his new book (Open) and the revelations that have surfaced (especially his crystal meth use in the late 90s).

So what exactly was so "only talking to one person" about this interview? Kvbc did an interview with him about the book, he's on Live with Regis & Kelly tomorrow morning, on The Late Show tomorrow night, and he's on Jimmy Kimmel Live on November 23. He also did an interview with People.

Is Jimmy Kimmel More of an Edward or Jacob Kinda Guy?

Ever feel like you're alone in your undying adoration of all things Twilight? Probably not, but if it's any consolation, funnyman Jimmy Kimmel is right there with you. Last Friday, the late-night host welcomed the New Moon crew to his show, and encountered a dilemma each of us faces all too often: Robert Pattinson or Taylor Lautner? Or better yet, Edward or Jacob? "They're very good-looking people," he told E! News at the International Myeloma Foundation charity event. "They're vampires—one of them is a werewolf. You don't see that too much." So, which is it? Kimmel's not picking sides (smart move!). "I think it's racist to pick between... »

6 November 2009 5:31 AM, PST | AfterElton.com | See recent AfterElton.com news »

Stuff happens, when you're either sleeping or or living the fabulous and fashionable life we know you have. So we're starting your days with a few tidbits to keep you the sparkling conversationalist your friends expect you to be.

From today's teaser photo, one of the strengths of Sesame Street that has allowed it to last 40 years is that they localize the characters in the 140 countries it plays in. You're looking at Kami, a Muppet that's part of the South African Sesame Street where the AIDS crisis has left so many orphans living with the disease. Kami is female and HIV+, teaching the kids what they need to know about the disease along with the alphabet. This National Geographic piece has more global examples.

Speaking of Sesame Street, it's evidently a piece of the left wing, communist agenda to indoctrinate children against the true America. This is all based on »

AfterElton Briefs: Gavin Creel, Scientology, Male Nudity, and more

Who else could these two share their clothes with?

Following this assortment of carefully-selected news items, interested readers can find a refreshing pic of a hot man in underwear after the jump. Yes, we're serious.

Above are Gavin Creel, and newly out Jonathan Groff, who are being tagged as Broadway's new power couple. The Gay Gamer puts forth the concept of "hate credits" for people who want to play games based on homophobe Orson Scott Card's work. Personally, not buying it - and neither should you. The White House is finding a way to note the passage of The Matthew Shepard and James Byrd, Jr. Hate Crimes Prevention Act after all. The director of Crash, the film that beat out Brokeback Mountain for the Oscar, Paul Haggis, has resigned the Church of Scientology. And it's over their treatment of gay rights. Jimmy Kimmel Live: 'New Moon' Snuffleupagus

If you missed Jimmy Kimmel Live you may have missed the gem below. In his show opening Jimmy talked about the popularity of Twilight and in particular the brand new New Moon clip that was just released the other day and already has tens of millions of views. He took it upon himself to parody the clip and insert the addition of a new kind of monster in the saga. Check it out belowThis reminds me a lot of the Guinew Moon parody that was done not too long ago. So did any of you catch this on TV? What do you think about his short parody of the clip? »

'Housewife' Kim Zolciak's Wigs Cost $12,000 Per Month (Video)

23 October 2009 7:43 AM, PDT | Huffington Post | See recent Huffington Post news »

'Real Housewives of Atlanta' Kim Zolciak and Nene Leakes visited Jimmy Kimmel Thursday night. They didn't make up, but they had a friendly dispute about the origins of the 'Tardy for the Party' lyrics (Kim's 9-year-old daughter was only partially responsible) and talked about the cost of Kim's hair ($12,000 a month, but less now that she is starting a wig line). Kimmel also asked Nene a question from his mother, who is a big fan of the show: did Nene's biological father surface just so he could be on television? "I don't know that he's my biological father. He hasn't taken a DNA test," Nene said. "I just suspect that he is." Nene and Kimmel talked about doing a DNA test on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live.' TV Office Romances

22 October 2009 5:01 PM, PDT | Getback - TV | See recent Getback - TV news »

First David Letterman was forced to admit that he's had sexual relationships with staff members over the years. And now word is out that another late night host, Jimmy Kimmel, is involved with one of his writers. Clearly, these guys' mothers never taught them the old adage about not dipping your pen in the company ink well.

But maybe mixing love and work isn't such a bad idea. Dave did marry a member of his crew, and maybe Jimmy will find his soul mate in staffer Molly McNearey. Dating at work really isn't that unusual. A Career Builders poll earlier this year found that not only have 40 percent of respondents dated a coworker at one time or another, but that 31 percent of these people took a trip down the aisle with their office mate.

As always, TV shows seem to skew those odds. Chances are that if two attractive, single »

What You Missed Last Night: Paul Shaffer on Jimmy Kimmel Live

21 October 2009 1:14 PM, PDT | AOL - TVSquad | See recent AOL - TVSquad news »

It's not a regular thing to see late night hosts appear on other late night shows. But I think it was great that The Late Show with David Letterman's Paul Shaffer was given the okay to appear on Jimmy Kimmel Live to not only plug his new book but also play with the band. I can't imagine Kevin Eubanks coming over to The Late Show and doing the same.

He also talked about his love for Las Vegas and Jerry Lewis. They don't do the split screen right though. Shouldn't they be looking straight ahead instead of at each other?

The theme songs of Richard Heene

20 October 2009 4:32 PM, PDT | AOL - TVSquad | See recent AOL - TVSquad news »

I was thinking the other day that someone has to write a folk song about the Heene family and Balloon Boy. I'm sure someone is working on one right now.

But a few years ago, Heene and others wrote a couple of theme songs for the TV shows he was pitching to networks, The Contractor and The Psyience Detective (Heene's site is The Science Detective). TMZ has both theme songs.

The Heenes have a big TV connection. Not only did they appear on Wife Swap twice and pitch the above shows, but Richard also asked Jimmy Kimmel for $25,000 a few years ago and lied to Extreme Makeover's producer last month.

John Mayer, Kanye West, Adolf Hitler Bring on the Balloon Boy Parodies!

When you have a national news story involving a giant balloon, a puking kid and a farting dad, the genius it's bound to inspire is endless. And by genius, we mean totally tacky parodies. They began last night, when Jimmy Kimmel tried to convince us that security guard Guillermo was actually aboard the homemade space ship—fail!—and Conan O'Brien joked that Falcon Heene had climbed aboard a cruise missile and then time-warped to the 1990s, where he was piloting a certain white Ford Bronco. Even the flame-haired host admitted that was "stupid," but in these late-night pros' defense, they didn't have very long to for their jests to gestate. The amateurs, however, killed... »
