First Official Promo for Josh Holloway's 'Lost' Season 6 Arrives

29 October 2009 11:26 PM, PDT | Celebrity Mania | See recent Celebrity Mania news »

The first official promotional video for "Lost" season 6 has been unraveled by ABC. Instead of containing new footage, the clip gives a flashback to the very first episode, when the Oceanic crashed, and several others from the following seasons.

The video, moreover, also emphasizes that this season will be "the beginning of the end". Additionally, the show's leading characters, including Josh Holloway's James 'Sawyer' Ford , Evangeline Lilly's Kate Austen, Daniel Dae Kim's Jin Kwon, Yunjin Kim's Sun Kwon, and Terry O'Quinn's John Locke, are all featured in the clip.

Along with the video, the producer of "24", John Cassar, hinted at possibility that he will direct the hit ABC show. "News that I will be directing a #Lost in November is not totally accurate. I am potentially going to direct an episode in the new year," he tweeted on Thursday, October 29.

Blu-Ray Review: First Two Seasons of ‘Lost’ Finally Available in HD

18 June 2009 5:00 AM, PDT | HollywoodChicago.com | See recent HollywoodChicago.com news »

Chicago – A majority of people who watch television in HD would cite ABC’s “Lost” as having the highest quality broadcast on television from a technical level but the first two seasons were only available in standard definition. Until now. J.J. Abrams’ mysterious island and its residents look absolutely amazing in HD and now fans can catch up with the first two seasons of “Lost”.

Blu-Ray Rating: 5.0/5.0 There are a few franchises that simply do TV on DVD better than others - “The Simpsons,” “24,” and, of course, “Lost” stand among the best. With fantastic special features and gorgeous transfers, these shows aren’t just documents of a program’s original broadcast, they stand on their own and enhance the show instead of just giving viewers an opportunity to watch it again.

The first four season releases of “Lost” have been among the most acclaimed in the history of standard DVD »

TV Review: Lost - Dead is Dead

9 April 2009 10:40 AM, PDT | FilmSchoolRejects.com | See recent FilmSchoolRejects news »

Lost, ABC, Airs Wednesdays 9/8c Episode: "Dead is Dead" (Season 5, Episode 12) Synopsis: Benjamin (Michael Emerson) plans to atone for his actions by facing judgment by the island. Review: This wasn't the season finale of Lost, but it sure had the build-up and intensity of one. We finally understand where the feud between Charles Widmore (Alan Dale) and Ben began, as Widmore was exiled from the island, leaving Ben in charge. That power transfers to Locke (Terry O'Quinn) by the end of the episode, as the Smoke Monster chose to let Ben live, but took away his authority. That's worse than death to Ben, I bet. What an amazing scene it was when we got to see the Smoke Monster show Alex's life flashing before Ben's eyes. We also learned that the Smoke Monster has been around since ancient times, as the hieroglyphics on the walls showed what looked like an Egyptian God summoning it before them. Amazing »

Lost Star Says Smoke Monster Secrets to be Revealed

11 February 2009 11:00 AM, PST | WorstPreviews.com | See recent Worst Previews news »

Actor Daniel Dae Kim, who plays Jin, said in an interview that the origin and nature of the Smoke Monster will be disclosed and viewers will even get a glimpse of its lair. Turns out the monster is as "old as the island" that's been home to the Oceanic jet-crash survivors and their foes. Kim also cautioned against expectations that his character, Jin, will reunite with his wife, Sun (Yunjin Kim), even though Jin survived a freighter explosion and Sun returns to the island after escaping it. Those events don't mean "they're particularly in the same place or chronologically in the same time," Kim said. As for the atomic bomb that showed up in the "Jughead" episode, he said the show's producers rarely give something such prominence unless it counts in the island's mythology. "That's a huge red herring if it's a red herring," Kim said, suggesting the bomb could »

Lost Season 5 Premiere Offers Many Clues

21 January 2009 10:16 PM, PST | ScreenRant.com | See recent Screen Rant news »

So Lost has finally returned. It whipsawed us all over the place during its two hour premiere, but it was a good whipsawing.

Btw, spoilers galore follow…

There was so much going on that it was difficult to take in - and don’t get on me about missing this detail or that because this is just a rough overview. The real meat and potatoes should take place in the discussion below.

The episode, titled “Before You Left,” opened with the mysterious star of all those Dharma Initiative videos in person, as one of those videos was being shot. It seems we’re back in the 1970s (or whenever it was that took place) and they’re just getting started on building/setting up the Orchid station. Now here there are three interesting things worth noting:

Perfectly balancing a healthy mix of answers to questions set up by the end of last season and asking new ones for what promises to be an excellent fifth season, episode 5.1, “Because You Left,” and episode 5.2, “The Lie,” are very likely to satisfy everyone who tunes in.

Matthew Fox, Evangeline Lilly, Jorge Garcia, Naveen Andrews, and Josh Holloway are back and one of the best shows on television has returned from its time off without missing a single complicated step.
