Was the former owner of the New England Patriots professional football team, and Chairman of the Remington personal electronics company.
Appeared in commercials for the Remington shavers company, which he purchased in 1979. He was chairman of Remington's board until his death.
Was the owner of the New England Patriots from 1988-1991. The 1990 Patriots which finished 1-15 are considered one of the worst teams in NFL history.
His "I bought the company" line was parodied in "UHF" by Bob Hungerford, as Sy Greenblum, President of Spatula City.
