After the disaster that was M. Night Shyamalan‘s adaptation of Nickelodeon’s brilliant animated series Avatar: The Last Airbender. Netflix is here with another adaptation and the hopes for this one are kind of high because the last Netflix live-action adaptation of One Piece was loved by new and existing fans of the IP. To do that he has to master all of the elements and in this adventure, he is helped by Katara and Zukko. While, Netflix’s live-action adaptation is not a direct adaptation of the animated series, as it is much more of a dramatic and visual feast than the comedic animated adventure like the animated series. Milly Alcock stars as Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen, as seen in Episode 3 of House of the Dragon Season 1. Pic credit: HBO/Ollie Upton
Episode 3 of House of the Dragon saw King Viserys (Paddy Considine) remarried and a royal prince being born that could usurp Princess Rhaenyra’s (Milly Alcock) stake on the Iron Throne.
And, because the princess is next in line to rule, it also means she is next in line to be married — something she is dead against.
Meanwhile, Prince Daemon (Matt Smith) took the Stepstones when his brother, the king, couldn’t be bothered. Killing the Crabfeeder (Daniel Scott-Smith), he claimed victory there.
In Episode 4, Daemon returns to King’s Landing and publically gives up that crown to his brother.
This settles the rift between the pair that was torn asunder years earlier when Daemon referred to the king’s dead son as “Heir for a Day.”

HBO’s House of the Dragon season one episode four tests fans loyalty to #TeamRhaenyra and finally allows Alicent to show a little personality. Airing on September 11, 2022, “King of the Narrow Sea” focuses on key relationships and the politics of sitting on the Iron Throne. Episode four also serves to confirm what’s going on between Princess Rhaenyra and her uncle isn’t PG-rated.
Episode four begins with Princess Rhaenyra (Milly Alcock) listening to speeches delivered by elderly men and boys who are seeking her hand. She’s unimpressed, fidgety, and barely conceals a laugh as a young boy from House Blackwood attempts to win her over while being heckled by another potential suitor, a lord from House Bracken. (There’s no love lost between those two Houses.)

Back in 2001, the landscape of British teen dramas didn't continue much further than Byker Grove, Grange Hill and a relatively new soap called Hollyoaks.
Since then, we've had plenty of shows that focus on the lives of a group of youths, from Skins to Misfits to Made in Chelsea. But there was one show that arguably kickstarted the modern teen drama without getting the kudos it deserves, and that show was As If.
Last year marked the 10th anniversary since the series came to an end, and so Digital Spy decided to look back on the show and find out what happened to some of its main cast members.
As If launched on January 22, 2001 on Channel 4 in the midweek early evening slot, and was later repeated on Sunday afternoons on T4. From series two onwards, it stayed as a T4 staple, but maintained its young adult themes, running for...

An actor (Peter Capaldi) plays Leonardo da Vinci, standing before exposed brick, intently hamming at a 3-D movie camera, spouting words set down long ago in the real da Vinci's notebooks, truths about perspective and nature that the actor, who is game, speaks like he's just now figuring them out, the same way he might if this goof/stunt of a movie were instead a detective drama and he was putting together the clues that break the case open: To draw hair you must study water! Cut from that discovery to marvelous shots of waterfalls, the camera gliding above and under the cascade. That stuff, like the montages of steelworks and some of da Vinci's illustrations, are so marvelous you can almost forgive the way director Julian Jones builds to the Mona Lisa like it's a punchli...

If you want an episode of Atlantis that sums the show up perfectly - its strengths and its weaknesses - then you couldn't do much better than this week's 'Hunger Pangs'.
Written by Julian Jones, the family fantasy drama's latest outing is a werewolf tale told through the filter of Greek mythology, with the unwise consumption of some sacrificial meat transforming our hero Jason into a wild, hirsute beast... a hound of the goddess Hecate.
Some aspects of Jason's fate are played for laughs, though thankfully the humour's of a higher standard than the usual fart jokes and prat-falls. There's some genuinely funny exchanges - Hercules' indifferent reaction to Jason's first night of wild antics, for one - and you find yourself wishing that the show was always this smart.
In future, if the the Atlantis cast are to bounce off each other, I'd rather it wasn't literally. I've now...

Eight weeks in and Atlantis has proven a moderate success for BBC One - a second series has been confirmed, but while few question the show's sense of style, some detractors have issues with its substance… or lack thereof.
'The Furies' is another example of an episode that looks incredible and is populated with strong actors - both among the regular cast and the guest roster - but is let down by a script that's often frustratingly simplistic.
This week, our heroes must deliver a trunk full of gold to the land of Helios to ensure that the arranged marriage of Philemon (James Rastall) to his prospective bride goes ahead, but their trek across the desert is complicated by the arrival of Pythagoras's brother Arcas - played by a buffed-and-bronzed Will Merrick from Skins.
Merrick's a strong young actor and a believable on-screen sibling for Robert Emms's Pythagoras, and...

Lo and behold, the end is truly approaching. If ever there were a time for the doom-laden nature of the fifth and final season of Merlin to reach its crux, the tenth instalment- The Kindness Of Strangers- is it, and thankfully the writers of the show make good on their promises to keep things dark and foreboding. Here, we have ominous hints at what’s to come for everyone’s favourite warlock, the Once and Future King and of course the druid Knight who can by no means be trusted. Was it another ground-breaking step forward as The Disir was a few weeks back? No, but there were still a few worthwhile surprises.
One thing’s for sure- right from the off, the culmination of the ‘Puppet Queen’ arc allowed for a stronger and more cohesive narrative. We moved back to the central arc of this season,...

Heading into the conclusion of a two-parter is no easy job for a writer on a British televised drama- you need only look at the likes of Doctor Who, Wild At Heart and countless other recent TV seasons for evidence of that. Merlin’s faring on double-barrelled episodes has been hit-and-miss at best in series gone by, and try as he might, Julian Jones still can’t quite seem to get the handle on how to balance action, emotion and arcs in this week’s second instalment of Series Five. Arthur’s Bane Part 2 most certainly has its merits, yet it’s definitely a step down from last week’s cracking opener.
Not keen to shy away from one of the obvious main arcs for the series narrative, Jones places an intense focus on the character of Mordred this week, presenting him in a number of...

Coming fresh off the back of a sublime new run of Doctor Who episodes, the fifth season of Merlin has certainly been under a lot of expectations in terms of its performance as a BBC1 primetime Autumn drama. It was no wonder, then, that the show’s writers chose to open the latest run with a two-parter, this time around focusing on the titular ‘bane’ of the legendary King Arthur. Did the premiere episode succeed? To a large extent, yes it did.
Thankfully, despite a couple of slight comedy gags before the titles this episode got quickly underway to its main narrative, as Arthur, Merlin and the Knights of the Round Table went off to search for their lost friends in the Northern Wastelands. To have such an immediate quest thrown upon us within the opening minutes is a refreshingly unique experience for the show, and...

Jamaica's minister of tourism has taken issue with Drake's "Find Your Love" video, which features the singer/rapper getting kidnapped by local thugs.
According to Jamaica's Gleaner, Edmund Bartlett said Drake and others who portray the island should be mindful of how they characterize their culture, which has had a history of violence predicated around drugs and poverty.
"We just have to say that care has to be taken by all, including our creative artists, in portraying images of our destination and people," Bartlett explained.
"Gun culture, while not unique to Jamaica, is not enhancing [the island's image]," he added.
In the video, which was filmed in Kingston, Drake pursues a would-be love who is already attached to dancehall artist Mavado, who plays a crime lord by the name of "Puffy.
