Filmmaker James Gunn has offered an update on Marvel Studios' "Guardians of the Galaxy" sequel with pre-production about to go into full swing.
Gunn posted a photo of himself, actor Vin Diesel and director James Wan at a going away party for Gunn ahead of a ten month stint in Atlanta for Gunn who will shoot the second 'Guardians' there from February next year.
He's going there early though as the production gets set to construct some massive sets for the follow-up. Gunn also says he aims to have some footage ready to show fans at next year's Comic-Con in July, but can't guarantee it.
Finally he's also offered some behind-the-scenes trivia and revealed that not all the Easter Eggs from the first film have been found, in fact: "No one has found the big one, really. Maybe once someone came close."

There’s a general misconception among casual horror fans that any flick produced by a fellow fan, or amateur, isn’t worth the time it takes to type in w-w-w-.-y-o-u-t-u-b-e-.-c-o-m.
Bona fide horror hounds have been tuned in to these inspired projects for years, understanding and respecting the effort devoted to a genuine passion piece. The detractors tend (this isn’t a rule carved in stone, mind you) to be the guys and gals who catch a macabre flick once every week or so, wiling to confess their affinity for the genre, but perhaps not devoted enough to qualify as a certified freak for terror, who haven’t taken the time to study these ambitious pictures.
The truth is, anyone who can openly acknowledge their love for horror can potentially find some brilliant fan productions, regardless of how dedicated one may or may not be. Sometimes fans just...

Those wacky Canadians are at it again! In response to a radio station film festival, Darren Jones went out and spent four days acting, filming, directing, composing and doing everything necessary to create a 60 second version of John Carpenter's iconic film, Halloween. Check it out.
We have to say he did a pretty decent job as it takes a few seconds before you even realize he didn't just cut clips, but re-shot the classic scenes with new performers. And he manages to hit all the high notes, the original murder of Michael's sister, the asylum escape, the bed-sheet/glasses costume. He's got it all covered.
Scroll down and check out Jones' piece, and if you like it, help him out by heading over to Vancouver's Virgin Radio 95.3's Fake Film Festival website and give Jones' film a like to help him win this contest. Come on horrorphiles, let's lend...

A 38-year-old man has revealed the full extent of his addiction to Diet Coke. Darren Jones drinks an average of 42 litres of the fizzy drink every week, the equivalent of 18 cans per day. The Stockport-based father-of-two, who weighs 35 stone, hopes a spell in rehab will end his habit for the sake of his health and relationship with wife Paula. Jones told The Mirror: "I believe what I have is an actual addiction and I start to worry if I'm getting near the end of the bottle. If I can't get in touch with Paula to get me some more I start to panic - it's like a drug or alcohol addiction. "I called up Diet Coke to ask them if it's addictive and what I should do and she recommended putting water in it to dilute it, but it would taste horrid and I don't think it would help. We...
