A pair of Cheshire businessmen have teamed up to create a 70ft scale replica of Big Ben made from straw. Chris Sadler and Mike Harper used more than 500 bales of straw weighing over 20 tons as they created the sculpture, which is around a quarter of the size of the real thing and features two working clock faces rather than four. The structure, which can be found in a field next to the A51 road between Nantwich and Chester, is the latest in a long line of straw creations from Sadler and Harper. The men have previously built copies of the London Eye, the Millennium Dome and a rocket.
